I'm so exciting to be the Guest Designer for the Global Design Project #GDP257 Color Challenge for the month of September. Aren't these colors just so beautiful together! I love the soft cool colors they have chosen.
Today's project is using the Life Is Beautiful Stamp Set from the Stampin' Up! August - December 2020 Mini Catalogue. The stamped image of the tree is perfect against the subtle watercolor background.
To create the watercolor background, I've used Watercolor Paper, the wide brush tip from the Water Painters and the three challenge colors. Starting with Misty Moonlight, Highland Heather and then Balmy Blue. I've actually left a fine line of no ink between Highland Heather and Balmy Blue.
The stamp image of the tree & bird house is in Misty Moonlight, it's one of my favourite new In-colors. The snowflake stamp image is stamped in Highland Heather and Balmy Blue which also follows throughout the card with this theme.
I've used a panel of the Snowflake Splendor DSP, this has the challenge colors and I've embossed the front of the Highland Heather card base using the Winter Snow Embossing Folder.
To finish off the card, the sentiment is stamped in Misty Moonlight Ink, layered over a thin strip of DSP in Highland Heather and Misty Moonlight.
