Stampin' Up! Saleabration Botanical Butterfly DSP

Hello and welcome,

I wanted to share a card that I Cased and was inspired by the lovely Artisan Jackie Aitken.  She created a beautiful card using the Saleabration Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper. This paper is just gorgeous and I wanted to give a butterfly some colour.

I used my Stampin' Blends in Highland Heather light and dark to blend in together. I fussy cut out the butterfly with my snips. 

On the Whisper White Cardstock I used my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker brush tip and splattered ink on the Cardstock. To do this you just flick the brush tip against the inside of the lid.

The "Thank You" is from the Needle & Thread Stamp Set which is from the Occasions Catalogue. I heat embossed it using White Embossing Powder on Basic Black Cardstock. To finish off the card I used Black Solid Baker's Twine and Black Sequins.

Stampin' Up! Art With Heart ~ Easter ~ Blog Hop

Tonight the Art with Heart team are sharing creative projects with an Easter theme.

When I was looking through my Occasions Catalogue. I just knew I had to purchase the Fable Friends Stamp Set and add this one to my collection. The rabbit in the set is so cute and I just couldn't wait to ink him/her up. I used Shimmery White Cardstock, Stazon Ink and water coloured the rabbit with my Aqua Painter in Smoky Slate, Petal Pink and Flirty Flamingo.

I wanted to do something a little bit different for an Easter Card, so I decided to use Smoky Slate Cardstock as the card base and the background. The Whisper White and Petal Pink pops out against the Smoky Slate. I just love the Whisper White Flax Ribbon it has an open weave soft look about it. 

I had a look at my Stampin' Punches and Framelits Dies and I came across the following: Sprig Punch, Bitty Blooms Punch (Daisy Flower), Needle Point Elements Framelits Dies and Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies. They all formed the layout for the rabbit to sit amongst the flowers and foliage.

To finish off the card I used the White Embossing Powder for the greeting. Which it just happened to fit nicely in the Stitched Labels Framelits perfectly.  I also used Dazzling Diamonds on the white cardstock but it was hard to pick up when taking a photo. White Pearls added to the daisy punch flowers and on the Smoky Slate Cardstock.

Stampin' Up! Painted Seasons Mother's Day Card

Hello and welcome.

Today's card that I've created is using the Free Sale-A-Bration stamp set Painted Seasons and coordinating Four Seasons Framelits Dies. Which are both available until the 31st March which is only a few mores days to go. I wanted to make a Mother's Day card with this set and I just love the succulent stamp in this set.

 To create this card I die cut using the Succulent die with the Whisper White Cardstock and cut at least 10 succulents for the card. I then place the Painted Seasons succulent stamp on my Stamparatus so I could stamp multiple times on each cardstock. 

I used a variety of colours for the succulents: Soft Sea Foam, Mint Macaron, Pool Party, Balmy Blue, Gorgeous Grape and Blueberry Bushel. I used a Dauber and coloured the stamp on some of the succulents to give them different shading and colours.

With all these beautiful colours I wanted to add silver for the greeting, so I used Silver Embossing Powder. The Happy Mother's Day is from the Tea Together stamp set and I used the Layering Oval Framelits. 

Once I was happy with how I wanted to have the succulents on the card I thought it just needed a little bit more silver. I used the Silver Metallic Thread and placed it on the Whisper White Cardstock. The card base is Pool Party and I layered it with Soft Sea Foam which is just a stunning colour.

Stampin' Up! Colour Creations ~ Week 40 ~ Pumpkin Pie ~ Art With Heart

Hello and welcome to my blog with the lovely ladies from Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop.

Today is week 41 and we are playing along with Pumpkin Pie which is one of the Regals Collection Colours.

When I think of Pumpkin Pie I see the colours of Autumn. Which is the season we are in now for Australia and it's such a beautiful time of year. In saying that I decided to use the cute squirrel stamp from Fable Friends which is in the Occasions Catalogue 2019.

The squirrel has been stamped with Stazon Jet Black Ink on Shimmery White Cardstock. I used an Aqua Painter and coloured in the squirrel with Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Blueberry Bushell and Granny Apple Green. 

For the background I used Shimmery White Cardstock and sponged some Pumpkin Pie Ink onto the Cardstock. Once I was happy with the effect I spritzed water using the Stampin' Spritzer and let it dry. Once dried I splattered black ink using the Stampin' Write Marker in Basic Black. To do this effect you use the brush end of your marker with the inside of the lid and flick the Ink onto your Cardstock. I love to create with this look. 

To finish off the card I used for the card base Very Vanilla Cardstock and then a piece of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock. I used Basic Black Cardstock and die cut out using the 2nd largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. To tie in with the card I used Basic Black Solid Baker's Twine.

Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration Country Floral Dynamic TIEF

Hello and welcome

I just love the Country Floral Dynamic TIEF which is a free item from Sale-A-Bration. This item is available for free until the 31st of March, when you spend $90. If you live in Australia and would like to know more please contact me.

I wanted to do something a little bit different with this folder. I decided to use the Night Of Navy Cardstock and then spritzed it with Shimmer Paint in Champagne Mist. I love how the sparkle turned out on the dark colour of the paper.  

I then added some more sparkle to the card using the Silver Foil Sheets and die cut them with the Celebrate You Thinlits.

To finish off I used the Silver Mini Sequin Trim and Silver Metallic Thread.

Stampin' Up! Scrapbook Page Sunshine Wishes

Hello and welcome

Over on our Art With Heart Team Facebook page I was inspired by Sharen Sutherland's scrapbook page. She used the beautiful Botanical Butterfly DSP this paper has black and white designs on one side and coloured designs on the other. The DSP is a free item with any $90 purchase from Stampin' Up! The Sale-A-Bration Catalogue is available until the end of  March 2019. I love this paper and the layout Sharen used for her scrapbook page, so this is my scrapbook page that I created.

The photo is of my two gorgeous girls taken awhile ago when they had Cross Country at school. Their house colour is gold/yellow and it makes a bright and happy photo. The colours I used are Mango Melody and Daffodil Delight which pops out from the black and white.

The butterflies have been coloured in with Stampin' Blends they are so nice to colour with and they blend so well together. I then fussy cut the three coloured butterflies out and punched the four black and white ones with the Butterfly Punch. I used a sticky note to hold the butterfly in place.

I used the Sunshine Sayings Stamp Set and coordinating Sunshine Wishes Dies which you can mix and match the sayings. I embossed the sentiments with White Embossing Powder and Versamark Ink on Black Cardstock.

On the white Cardstock I splattered using the Stampin' Write Marker in Daffodil Delight which is fun to do. I just use the tip of the marker against the inside of the lid.

The Daisy Punch has been used for the two flowers and 1/2" circle punch for the centre of the flower. I also used the Stampin' Blends for the petals. To finish off the page I used the Sequin Assortment in Iridescent the colour is So Saffron. The black and white Washi Tape is Pick A Pattern.

I hope you love this page as much as I have loved creating it.

Colour Creations ~ Week 40 ~ Powder Pink ~ Art With Heart

Hello and welcome to my blog with the lovely ladies from Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop.

Today is week 40 and we are playing along with Powder Pink one of the In Colors for 2017-2019.

Powder Pink is a favourite colour of mine and it will be retiring soon as of the 31st of May 2019. I decided to use this colour with Basic Black and Whisper White. Using lots of different layers and mediums with Stampin' Up! products.

I decided I just had to use the Sale-A-bration free item Country Floral Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder. It's so beautiful with the raised textures of flowers and foliage on the Cardstock, I think it's a must have for any crafter. The best thing is it's free with any purchase of $90 until the 31st of March 2019. 

I used the largest Rectangle Stitched Framelit to die cut the Cardstock and I sponged with a Dauber using the Frost White Shimmer Paint to highlight the flowers and foliage. 

The Stitched Labels Framelits from the Annual Catalogue was used in Powder Pink, Black Foil Sheets and Whisper White. I embossed the greeting in Black Stampin' Eboss Powder. The greeting is from the beautiful stamp set Ribbon Of Courage.

To finish off the card I wanted to use the Mini Ruffled Ribbon in Powder Pink this is so pretty, plus I used the Mini Sequin Trim in Black and Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon in Whisper White. I tied the three of them around the card together.

Tea Together Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI51

Hello and welcome to my card creation as guest designer for this Colour INKspiration Challenge for #CI51

I was lucky to win a previous Colour INKspiration challenge for #CI49.

When I saw the inspiring photo for the challenge and beautiful colours. I just had to use the Occasions Catalogue Tea Together stamp set, Saleabration items Tea Time Framelits Dies and Country Floral Dynamic TIEF. The colours used are Berry Burst, Mango Melody, Highland Heather and Pear Pizzazz.    

I used the Water Colour paper, an Aqua Painter and Gold Embossed the Tea Together stamp set. I just love to water colour with these colours and giving the tea set a subtle look. The Tea Time Framelits was used to die cut the tea set.

The Country Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder was used for the background. I used the Berry Burst Ink, Sponge Brayer and I lightly placed Ink on the Embossing Folder before running it through the Big Shot. To finish off the card I used the gorgeous Pear Pizzazz Shimmer Ribbon and stamped the greeting also in Pear Pizzazz to match.
