Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI60

Welcome to my blog for the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI60. The colour palette for this challenge is – Petal Pink, Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock and Blueberry Bushel.

For my creation I wanted to do some water colouring and use the beautiful set Bloom & Grow Bundle which is from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue.

I stamped the imaged in Stazon Jet Black Ink which is permanent ink and best used when water colouring. The image was stamped onto a piece of the new Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. It’s cold-pressed archival cotton paper, it comes in 10 sheets at 5” x 7”.  I used Petal Pink and Terracotta Tile for the floral images. For the foilage I used Pretty Peacock and Blueberry Bushel with my Aqua Painter.

I wanted the stamped images to stand out, so by adding Blueberry Cardstock for the background this made them pop! I recently received the new Scripty 3D Embossing Folder, so I just couldn’t wait to use this on my card. I wrapped the Blueberry Bushel Ribbon around the Cardstock three times and adhered it with Tear & Tape so it was nice and secured.

I just love the font on the sentiment and in White Embossing Powder it stands out well against the Blueberry Bushel Cardstock. I then used the second largest Stitched Nested Die and die cut around the image.

Once I adhered the pieces together with Liquid Glue, Tear & Tape and Stampin’ Dimensionals and layered my card up. I wanted a little sparkle so I added the gorgeous Blueberry Bushel Noble Peacock Rhinestones to finish off my card.

Thank you for coming along and seeing my card today. I hope you’ve enjoyed my latest creation for the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge.

Happy Crafting,

Vicki Boucher

Stampin' Up! Art With Heart Simple Stamping Blog Hop

Tonight the Art with Heart team are sharing creative projects featuring Simple Stamping, which means our projects feature only paper, stamps and ink. It’s a great way to create a quick and easy card for new stampers or for when you need a card at short notice. These projects highlight how Stampin’ Up! ink, paper and card stock coordinates perfectly.

If you would like a copy of the 2019 - 2020 annual catalogue, contact any of the girls on the blog hop and we will get in touch with you.

I’ve used two stamp sets for my cards and I wanted to show you the variation in using different colours that can be easily change for another look on each card.

The stamps sets are Fanciful Fragrance and Very Versailles on page 112 and 113 in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue.

The colour combination for each card is

Rococo Rose, Blushing Bride and Basic Gray on Whisper White Cardstock and Rococo Rose is the card base.

Night of Navy, Crumb Cake and Sahara Sand on Whisper White Cardstock and Night of Navy is the card base.

Pretty Peacock, Mint Macarron and Soft Sea Foam on Whisper White Cardstock and Pretty Peacock is the card base.

Memento Tuxedo Black, Gray Granite and Blackberry Bliss on Whisper White Cardstock and Blackberry Bliss is the card base.

Once I made one card and I was happy with the layout I found making the other three cards so easy. Simple Stamping is a great way to showcase these stamp sets, a fun way to just ink up your stamps and make a card in no time at all.

Hope you've enjoyed my cards that I've created for the latest Blog Hop.

Stampin' Up! Colour INKspiration #CI59 Colour Challenge Daisy Card

Today I will be sharing with you a card that I’ve created for the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI59. I always love these challenges and the colours are so beautiful.

They are Seaside Spray, Smoky Slate, Very Vanilla and Early Espresso you can also add white, black and metallics to the card.

I wanted a vintage look for my card and I also love using the Daisy Lane Bundle with the larger Daisy Punch. Plus adding some copper to my card gives it some sparkle.

Using both Daisy Punches I’ve punched them out in Seaside Spray Cardstock, sponged them with the Sponge Dauber and Seaside Spray Ink for the center of the Daisy. I used Early Espresso Ink for the tips of the petals, I also added a little bit of Wink Of Stella and a Clear Facted Gems for each Daisy.

For the Leaf Punch I punched out the leaves in Early Espresso Cardstock and sponged them with the Sponge Dauber in Early Espresso Ink. The Copper Trim has been stretched out and attached to the backing of the Daisies.

The Very Vanilla Cardstock was embossed with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder, sponged with a Sponge Dauber and Smoky Slate Ink. The Early Espresso Cardstock was embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder, sponged with a Sponge Dauber and Early Espresso Ink.

I wanted to give the Cardstock a distressed look so with my Paper Snips I ran the blade along the Cardstock giving it a rough edge look.

The sentiment has been embossed in Cooper Embossing Powder on Seaside Spray Cardstock and a little sponging around the edges in Seaside Spray.

Hope you enjoyed my card that I’ve created for the Colour Challenge and I can’t wait for the next colour challenge.

Happy Crafting

Stampin' Up! Vintage Card ~ Fanciful Fragrance and Very Versailes Stamp Sets

Today I just have to share with you two beautiful Stamp Sets called Very Versailles and Fanciful Fragrance they are both in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue for 2019 - 2020.

I recently had a card class with my crafty friends and we made this vintage card together.

The inks and coloured Cardstock I’ve used is Gray Granite, Memento Black and Whisper White.

I ran a piece of Whisper White Cardstock through the Big Shot with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder, sponged lightly over the Embossed image in Gray Granite Ink and the Dauber.

The detail of the fragrance bottles is just amazing and when stamped onto the Cardstock you can really see the detail. Using Memento Black Ink makes it very elegant.

For the Ribbon and Trim I’ve used the Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace trim and Braided Linen Trim which has been frayed at the ends. I secured them together with a piece of Linen Thread and I made a bow and attached it with a Glue Dot.

The font in the Very Versailles Stamp Set is just stunning, I stamped it in Memento on Whisper White Cardstock, fussy cut around sentiment and sponged the edges in Gray Granite Ink.

Gray Granite is becoming one of my new favs at the moment. What do you think about this colour?

Thank you for visiting my blog today. I hope I have inspired you to create using these two Stamp Sets.

Happy crafting

Stampin' Up! Capture the Good

Today I wanted to share with you a card that I’ve made using the stamp set Capture The Good, it’s on page 142 of the Annual Catalogue. I just love the creations that is in the Catalogue and I wanted to make a fun card with this stamp set.

I made the tag using Shimmery White Cardstock and I punch the top corners with the Banner Punch. The small black circle was used with the ½” circle punch and then I punched the hole with the Delightful Tag Topper.

The stamped image of the camera has been Embossed with White Embossing Powder. Then the fun began with brushing some Basic Black Ink onto the Cardstock and once dry I used the Smooched Technique. I placed some Blueberry Bushel, Pacific Point ink onto a piece of Window Sheet and spritzed water using the Stampin’ Spritzer. With the Window Sheet I smooched it onto the Cardstock until I was happy with the application.

For the textured Brick background I used the Embossing Paste with a drop or two of Pacific Point and Blueberry Bushel. Once dry I could layer my card up.

The sentiments in the stamp set have some fun sayings and I’ve stamped mine in Versamark Ink, covered it in Black Embossing Powder and sealed it with the Heat Tool.

Thank you for visiting my latest blog and I hope you’ve enjoyed my card.

Stampin' Up! Week 55 Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop Purple Posy

Hello and welcome back to my blog with the lovely ladies from Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. This will be our last colour hop to showcase.

Today is week 55 and we are playing along with one of the new In-Colours called Purple Posy for 2019-2021.

This new colour is available to purchase in Stampin’ Blends, Cardstock, Ribbon, DSP and much more. I’ve created a card for this week using the new In-colour.

The idea that I had for this card is nothing like what I had pictured in my head. I think after last weeks big creative week with all those cards that I made, I just went blank and nothing was coming to me. Has this every happen to you?

Any way here’s my card, so I went back to using the Free As A Bird Bundle which I always love to use. I stamped the image on Whisper White Cardstock and coloured in using my Stampin’ Blends: Purple Posy, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake, Mossy Meadow and Old Olive. I fussy cut the images out and I leave a white line around the image.

I wanted the birds to stand out from the card so I used Basic Black Cardstock, Stitched Nested Labels Dies and Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder.

I recently received the Bird Ballad Trinkets as a gift from Claire Daly and I’ve been wanting to use them on a card. Don’t they just go so nicely with the Basic Black Cardstock and Linen Thread?

To finish off the card I layered the layers with Stampin’ Dimensionals and I heat embossed with White Embossing Powder on Basic Black Cardstock for the sentiment.

Please visit Catherine’s blog where you’ll find the links to the other participants.

Thank you for visiting my latest blog and I hope you've enjoyed my card using Purple Posy.

If you would like a new catalogue or the Free As A Bird Bundle, please contact me today and I would be happy to send a catalogue out to you.

Happy crafting

Vicki
