Social Stamping Blog Host - Friend

Today, from the Social Stampers we are sharing our creations with the theme “Friend” for this week. I think it’s so important to keep in contact with your friends during this time with COVID-19, I so miss our catch ups and coffees together. That’s why sending out a card is so important and it’s such a nice surprise to receive one in the mail.

I was going through my stamp sets to see which set I would use for my cards and the Beautiful Friendship was just perfect. I went to the Stampin’ Up! 2019 - 2020 Annual Catalogue for inspiration on a layout and I really liked the card on page 123 using the same set. I like how you can see the DSP using the same coordinating colours with the Cardstock and Ink.

The first card I’ve used is Blushing Bride, Rococo Rose and Smoky Slate. I just love the gingham DSP in Blushing Bride it’s so sweet and I’ve die cut the greeting with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

As I was stamping away with the first card, I thought let’s mix up the colours for the second card, so I've changed the roses to Rococo Rose and full strength ink for the leaves using Smoky Slate.

The final card I have used is Highland Heather, Seaside Spray and Pacific Point ink for the hydrangeas and the leaves are in Smoky Slate. The DSP and Cardstock is the beautiful in-color Purple Posey and the greeting I’ve used Gorgeous Grape.

Art With Heart April Creative Showcase - Mother's Day

Welcome to the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! Team Monthly Creative Showcase. The theme for this month’s showcase is Mother’s Day. Under the current conditions Mother’s Day this year is going to be completely different to any other Mother’s Day celebrations.

I would so love to see my Mum on Mother’s Day, but with the current conditions of this Pandemic with COVID-19 I will have to wait until it’s safe to see her. I am looking forward to spending the day with my two beautiful girls and hubby in our little bubble. I’m looking forward to breakfast in bed and a sleep-in would be great too.

The Art With Heart Team are hoping to share a little Mother’s Day love and inspiration with you tonight. Here’s my creation using the gorgeous Dressed To Impress Bundle and other Stampin’ Up! products from the 2020 Mini Catalogue.

The stamped images are in Basic Gray Ink this gives the images a lovely subtle look and blends in well with the other colours. Using a Sponge Dauber, lightly sponge Melon Mambo Ink onto the Parfum bottle and flowers. Also add Grapefruit Grove Ink to the flowers, I think the two colours blend well together and I must use this colour more often in my projects.

The Dressed To Impress Stamp Set has a Mother’s Day stamp included in the set and the greeting fits perfectly with the label die from the All Dressed Up Dies.

Using scraps of Silver Foil, die cut the images out with Painted Labels Dies. The large Stitched Swirl looks perfect under the Parfum bottle and I’ve placed the smaller swirls under the greeting.

Using the two largest dies from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies the first is in Whisper White Cardstock and sponge Grapefruit Grove Ink onto the Cardstock. The other Stitched So Sweetly Dies is in Petal Pink DSP using the print of the script side.

The card base is in Petal Pink Cardstock, adding a layer of Whisper White Cardstock and I gave the panel a subtle vintage look. To achieve this look sponge Petal Pink Ink onto the Cardstock with the Sponge Dauber and run it through with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder with the die-cutting and embossing machine. Lightly run the blade of the Paper Snips along the edges and curl the edges with the Bone Folder. I’ve used Multipurpose Glue as my main adhesive and Stampin’ Dimensionals under the Sliver Foil.

The next demonstrator to share her Mother’s Day project is the amazingly talented Rachel Woollard.

Social Stamping Blog Host - Rainbows

Hello and welcome,

Today, from the Social Stampers we are sharing our creations with the theme “Rainbows” for this week. I just love Rainbows! They bring a smile to my face and the colours are just gorgeous together. When my family and I go out for walks around our neighborhood, I've seen lots of hand drawn Rainbows in the windows of houses or on the footpath. Children have been drawing them and displaying their creations which makes everyone's day that little bit happier.

I feel that Rainbows bring us magic and that’s why I’ve used the unicorn stamp from the Leave A Little Sparkle Stamp Set. I think the two go nicely together. What do you think? I’ve used the embossed resist technique with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder onto Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and heat set with the Heat Tool.

I spritzed water with the Stampin’ Spritzer onto the watercolor paper and then I added the colours to the paper. The colours I’ve used are Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover, Blueberry Bushel, Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather. I've used three clear blocks for the ink and I added like colours together on the block. The yellows together, blue & green together and purples together. I used the Aqua Painter, applied the ink to the watercolor paper and blending the colours until I was happy.

I’ve added some sequins to the card using the rainbow colours, the sentiment is in White Stampin’  Emboss Powder and heat set onto Basic Black Cardstock.

Colour INKspiration Challenge #75

Hello and welcome,

Tonight, is the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #75 and this bright colourful photo is our inspiration to create something special. The colours for the challenge are Daffodil Delight, Call Me Clover, Gorgeous Grape, Melon Mambo and Mango Melody. You can also add Whisper White, Basic Black, Very Vanilla and metallics.

The challenge runs for almost 2 weeks and will end at 7pm (AEST) on 20th April 2020. I hope you’ll enter into the Colour INKspiration Challenge we would love to see your creation.

The card I’ve created is using the Daisy Lane Bundle which is from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogiue 2019 – 2020. This bundle would have to be one of my favorites out of the Annual Catalogue as I love the sentiments and the Daisy Punches are fun to work with.

I’ve used both of the Daisy Punches for my project, I've punch them out with Whisper White Cardstock and sponged ink onto the Daisies petals with the Sponge Dauber. The yellow centers are from the Perennial Essence Floral Centers which finish off the Daisies nicely. I’ve also added Clear Wink Of Stella to add a little sparkle to the Daisies.

I’ve used the large die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies, die cut out in Whisper White Cardstock and I’ve sponged Call Me Clover Ink onto the Cardstock.

The card base is Daffodil Delight and I’ve spritzed Daffodil Delight Ink by using the Stampin’ Write Marker by flicking Ink with the lid onto the Cardstock.

Make sure you visit our Facebook group to enter the competition, we would love to see how you would use this latest colour challenge.

Click here at Colour INKSpiration Facebook group to take part and upload the photo of your creation. You don’t need a blog to enter either. Share with your crafty friends, so they can join in with the challenges too.

Social Stamping - Thank You

Hello and welcome,

Today, from the Social Stampers we are sharing our creations with the theme “Thank you” for this week. "Thank you" is such a lovely gesture to send someone a card and make them feel special.
Here’s my card that I’ve created I just love Petal Pink it’s such a pretty soft colour to use, I’ve combined it with Soft Sea Foam and Smoky Slate.

I wanted to use the large die from the Stitched Label Dies and combine the flower branch image from the Forever Blossoms Stamp Set. I've stamped it in Smoky Slate Ink, coloured it in with my Stampin’ Blends using Petal Pink light & dark and Soft Sea Foam light & dark. This combination of colours is beautiful together. I also like to sponge ink onto the die cut image this gives a lovely shade of Petal Pink to my card. I placed Stampin’ Dimensionals to the die cut of the Forever Blossoms stamped image and placed onto the Stitched Label.

The sentiment is from the Magnolia Blooms Stamp Set, I just love the font for the "Thank You" and it suits the style of the card too. The cute heart from the Stitched Label Dies had to be used as well and ties in nicely.

I’ve stamped the large flower image from the Forever Blossoms Stamp Set in Petal Pink onto a sheet of Whisper White Cardstock and then ran it through the Die Cutting Machine with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.

I like to add another layer to my card so I used the gorgeous Petal Pink DSP which is from the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper. I think all of the layers work well together. What do you think?
