Just Add Ink Challenge Blog #480 Add a "Technique"

Hello and welcome,

Tonight I’ve entered this card for the Just Add Ink Challenge Blog #480…..Add a “Technique”

The technique I’ve chosen is the Pigment Sprinkles, I just love the bright colours, mix it with water and create amazing projects. The colours are Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, Mango Melody and Melon Mambo.

The card that I’ve created is for my daughter and she likes to take photos, so the Capture The Good stamp set was perfect for her.

I started with a piece of Water Colour Paper, spritzed the paper with water using the Stampin’ Spritzer, lightly sprinkled Gorgeous Grape and Bermuda Bay. Once I was happy with the right amount of colour, I then used my Aqua Painter to blend in the ink. While waiting for this to dry, I then worked on my background.

For the background I’ve used the Water Colour paper, spritzed with water and this time I added Gorgeous Grape only and then covered with a tissue to remove access ink off the paper. You can speed up the drying process by using the Heat Tool.

I went back to the Gorgeous Grape and Bermuda Bay piece of Water Colour Paper. I stamped the camera image and fussy cut the camera out. The heart image was also stamped and punched out with the 1” Circle Punch.

I liked the Gorgeous Grape against the Whisper White Cardstock. To finish off the card I heat embossed the sentiments using White Stampin’ Emboss Powder onto Basic Black Cardstock.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my card today and how I’ve used the Pigment Sprinkles.

Stampin' Up! 2019 Holiday Catalogue Art With Heart Team Blog Hop Week 11

Hello and welcome,

It is week 11 with the Heart of Christmas blog hop with the ladies from Art with Heart Team and we are showcasing Stampin’ Up! Products from the 2019 Holiday Catalogue.

This week’s card I’ve created using the Peaceful Boughs Bundle which includes the Peaceful Boughs Stamp Set and Beautiful Boughs Dies. Purchasing the two items together as a bundle is a great saving as you can save 10% when you purchase the two products.

The colours I’ve used for the card are Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Soft Suede and Whisper White. I wanted to keep the card clean and simple.

I stamped the second largest branch three times in Garden Green Ink on the Whisper White Cardstock. I’ve used a piece of Garden Green Cardstock and die cut out a branch using the second largest branch die. The pinecones are in Early Espresso and I’ve used the two smaller Pinecone dies. Then I lightly covered them in Snowfall Accents Puff Paint and heat set with the Heat Tool.

For the bow I’ve used the Linen Thread and coloured it in with the Dark Suede Stampin’ Blend giving the bow a darker look. I’ve also coloured in the Silver Metallic Pearls with the Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Marker.

The greeting is stamped directly onto the Whisper White Cardstock using Cherry Cobbler Ink and the card base is in Garden Green.

Art With Heart October Blog Hop Featuring Embossing Folders

Hello and welcome,

Welcome to another Art With Heart Blog Hop. This month we are featuring Stampin' Up's! versatile range of Embossing Folders. There are new Embossing Folders available in every Stampin' Up! catalogue and they are an inexpensive way of adding WOW! to your projects. Currently there are 24 different Embossing Folders in the range.

Tonight we plan on showing you lots of ideas on how to use these folders.

For best results when using the Stampin' Up!'s 3D Embossing Folders; use the 3D Embossing Folder Plate; it adds a little more oomph to your die sandwich to make those 3D designs pop.

Tonight I will be sharing with you two cards that I’ve created using the Swirls and Curls Embossing Folder which is a standard Embossing Folder. This folder gives you a beautiful instant snow like feel when you create a card for Christmas.

For both cards I’ve used the same bundle Christmas Gleaming including the stamp set and punch pack. I have also used the Beautiful Boughs Dies for the branch and the smaller label die. Just by using different colours for your cards, you can get a totally different look with the two cards.

The Night of Navy card is combined with Copper Foil, Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and Celestial Copper Delicata Ink. As per above photo, I’ve used a Stampin' Sponge with the Copper Ink and lightly swirled the ink over the embossed cardstock which gave the card a different dimension and colour to it.

The Smoky Slate, Whisper White card is combined with Silver Foil, Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder, White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and Frost White Shimmer Paint.

I’ve used the same technique using a Stampin' Sponge with the Frost White Shimmer Paint which gives the card a frosted shimmer look.

Which card do you prefer? The Night of Navy with Copper or Whisper White/Smoky Slate with Sliver?

Thank you for visiting my blog today and now it’s time to see Tina Gillespie creation using an Embossing Folder.

Stampin' Up! 2019 Holiday Catalogue Art With Heart Team Blog Hop Week 10

Hello and welcome,

Today I will be sharing a card that I’ve created for the Heart of Christmas blog hop with the lovely ladies from The Art With Heart Team.

This week’s card I’ve used the Yummy Christmas Stamp Set this is such a cute set and good thing is it coordinates with the Cuckoo Clocks Dies.

I’ve used my Stampin’ Blends in the following colours Purple Posy light & dark, Highland Heather light & dark, Seaside Spray light & dark and Color Lifter. Using the blends gives you just the right amount of colour by either using the fine tip end or brush end.

Once I had completed colouring in the house, trees, holly and die cut out the images. I then applied Shimmery Crystal Effects to parts of each die cut image and sprinkled Ice Stampin’ Glitter. The glitter gives you an icy snow look for your creation and some added sparkle.

The card base is the beautiful Purple Posy, layered with Feels Like Frost 6” x 6” DSP. I’ve used the side with the Silver Foil and white dots which looks like snow falling. The greeting is from So Many Stars Stamp Set and I’ve stamped on a piece of Basic Black Cardstock, Versamark Ink, applied White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. Then fussy cut out around the greeting with my paper snips.

Colour INKspiration Challenge #66

Hello and welcome,

Today I will be sharing with you a card that I’ve created for the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #66 and the choice of colours are Gorgeous Grape, Coastal Cabana, Poppy Parade, Pineapple Punch, Mint Macaron and Lovely Lipstick. How gorgeous is the photo and choice of colours? You can choose any three colours for your creation, plus you can use Basic Black, Whisper White, Very Vanilla and Metallics. This challenge will run for 3 weeks and will end at 7pm (AEDT) on Monday 11th November 2019.

Did you see Nicole Wilson’s beautiful creation for this challenge? I just love the colours and technique she has used, so be sure to hop all the way through for more inspiration using these colours.

The colours I’ve used for my card are Gorgeous Grape, Coastal Cabana and Mint Macaron. I wanted to create a non-traditional colour scheme for my Christmas card.

This card was so fun to create and I just love the colours. I’ve used the Pigment Sprinkles in Gorgeous Grape onto Fluid 100 Water Color Paper. I randomly stamped the snow falling stamp (Peaceful Boughs Stamp Set) with Versamark Ink onto the Water Color Paper, sprinkled White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set the snow.

I’ve used just one of dies from Beautiful Bough Dies to create the wreath in the colours that I mentioned above. I've applied the Snowfall Accents Puff Paint and Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush onto each die cut piece before adhering to the layered Water Colour Paper with Multipurpose Glue.

The greeting is from the Peaceful Boughs Stamp Set, stamped in Versamark Ink onto a piece of Basic Black Cardstock, White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set. Then I fussy cut out the greeting with my paper snips.

I layered the Water Color Paper onto Gorgeous Grape Cardstock, added a few Noble Peacock Rhinestones in Gorgeous Grape to the wreath, made a bow in Gorgeous Grape ¼” Mini Striped Ribbon and added the greeting with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Make sure you visit our Facebook group to enter your creation, we would love to see which colour combination you choose and it’s so much fun to share too!

Stampin' Up! 2019 Holiday Catalogue Art With Heart Team Blog Hop Week 9

Hello and welcome,

Tonight the ladies from the Art With Heart Team will be sharing their Christmas creations using Stampin’ Up! products from the 2019 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalogue. We are now up to week 9 and it’s only 10 weeks until Christmas. Have you started on your Christmas cards yet?

I wanted to use the cute snowman Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper which comes in 20 sheets, 2 each of 6 double-sided designs, 12” x 12”, one side has basic patterns for year round use and the other side has glittery winter images. I just love the colours in the DSP and the gorgeous glitter which is already done for you.

Let It Snow DSP

I’ve made a card and three gift tags for our family business YV Hampers which will be part of the hamper collection when giving out to our customers. This is just one of the gift tags with the hampers shown here.

The colours for the card are Coastal Cabana, Real Red, Shaded Spruce and Whisper White which all follows through nicely throughout the card. The snowman is from the DSP which is die cut with Stitched Shapes Circle Die and layered with Stampin’ Dimensionals on Real Red Layering Circle Scallop Die.

The branches are in Shaded Spruce die cut out using the Beautiful Boughs Dies and I applied the Snow Accents Puff Paint which gives the leaves a 3D effect. You apply the paint to your project and heat set using the Heat Tool.

The white pinecones are also from the Beautiful Boughs Dies, I’ve used Whisper White Cardstock die the pinecones out and lightly sponged with Frost White Shimmer Paint on the top layer.

The greeting is from the Peaceful Boughs Stamp Set, the image is White Heat Embossed on a strip of Real Red Cardstock and layered over a strip of the Let It Snow DSP. I just love all the different layers I’ve used to make this Christmas card.

To make the three gift tags I’ve used the Delightful Tag Topper Punch with Real Red Cardstock, layered with the striped Let it Snow DSP and die cut the snowman using the Stitched Rectangle Die. I’ve used the same greeting to match the card but this time using Vellum with White Heat Embossed Powder. To finish off the gift tag I’ve used the Real Red Curly Ribbon, looped it around and tied the ends in a knot.

Stampin' Up! 2019 Holiday Catalogue Art With Heart Team Blog Hop Week 8

Hello and welcome,

Tonight I will be hoping along with the ladies from the Art With Team and we are showcasing Christmas products. It’s week 8 and I recently received the beautiful So Many Stars Bundle and the Beautiful Boughs Dies in the mail which I have used for my card.

Beautiful Boughs Dies
So Many Stars Bundle

There are 23 gorgeous dies in the Stitched Stars Dies, I’ve only used a few of them in Night of Navy and Seaside Spray Cardstock. I wanted them to sparkle so I added Shimmery Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter.

The JOY image is White Heat Embossed on Night of Navy Cardstock, die cut out with the smaller frame from the Beautiful Boughs Dies. I’ve used a piece of DSP from the stunning Feels Like Frost 6” x 6” DSP and die cut with the larger frame also from the Beautiful Boughs Dies.

Underneath all of the dies, I’ve used the Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder, embossed with a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and layered over the base of Thick Whisper White Cardstock.

Colour INKspiration Challenge #65 Crew Card

Hello and welcome,

Today I have some exciting news to share with you, I’m now officially part of the Colour INKspiration Crew! It consists of some amazing talented Aussie and NZ Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators that create projects based on photos from Pinterest.

Did you see our Guest Designer - Le Anne Pugliese for this challenge? Her card is so beautiful be sure to hop all the way through for more inspiring projects using these colours.

There’s also a Facebook group for Stampin’ Up! Who like to be creative and share their paper craft projects using colour combinations. There's more information at the end of this blog.

Now for the gorgeous colours we get to use for the latest challenge #CI65 they are Blackberry Bliss, Merry Merlot, Gray Granit and Basic Black. You can also use Whisper White, Very Vanilla and as well as Metallics.

I’ve used two stamp sets Fanciful Fragrance and Very Versailles for my card, both sets are stunning with a beautiful vintage feel. I’ve stamped the branch in Blackberry Bliss, then fussy cut around the stamped image and adhered to the card front with Tombow.

The die cut image is in Whisper White Cardstock and I’ve used the 8cm by 11.5cm Stitched Rectangles Die.  With a Sponge Dauber I’ve inked up around the edges with Gray Granite ink and the two flower images are in Merry Merlot Ink. There are three perfume bottles connected together in the Fanciful Fragrance stamp set and I only wanted one, so I fussy cut around the image, adhered with Tombow and placed the greeting with Stampin’ Dimmensionals.

The card base is Blackberry Bliss and with the stamp image of the Script from Very Versailles, I’ve randomly stamped on the Cardstock in Black Memento ink. I like how the branch image connects the two pieces of Cardstock together. The final touch I’ve added three Basic Rhinestones to the card.

Make sure you click on the link highlighted and ask to join Colour INKspiration Facebook group to partake in the challenge. All you need to do is up load a photo and if you have a blog you can link it back to your personal blog if you wish to. Share with your crafty friends so they can join in with the challenges too.
