Week 9 Art With Heart Colour Creations Weekly Showcase Cherry Cobbler

Hello and welcome to Week 9 with the Art With Heart Colour Creations Weekly Showcase. Which the lovely Catherine Proctor is running our weekly blog and with a selection of other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from the Art With Heart Team.

Cherry Cobbler

This week we are featuring Cherry Cobbler in our projects. Cherry Cobbler is from the Regals Colour Collection and comes in a range of Stampin' Up! products such as the Classic Stampin' Pad, Cardstock, Stampin' Blends, DSP and more.

Today's card, I've used the Prized Peony Bundle which is available from the Annual 2020 - 2021 Stampin' Up! Catalogue.

Prized Peony Bundle

I wanted the Peony to be the main feature showcasing Cherry Cobbler and also incorporating a vintage look for my card.

I've coloured in the image using the Stampin' Blends in Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow and Old Olive for the Peony. I've also used the Color Lifter which blends in the light and dark of the two Cherry Cobbler colours.

With the panel of Whisper White Cardstock, I've sponged Gray Granite Ink in a circle motion using a Sponge Dauber. I love this look and it gives a different look rather than just adding the Peony onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock. I've embossed the panel with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.

The next layer I've created my own DSP by using the smaller Peony stamp and stamped it in Gray Granite Ink onto the Cardstock. The panel is then embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder, sponged Gray Granite Ink around the edges and run my paper snips along the Cardstock.

To finish, I've used the script stamp from the Very Versailles Stamp Set, stamped it in Gray Granite Ink onto the card base in Gray Granite.

Please visit Catherine's Blog to see her creation and all the links are there as well, so you’ll be able to see everyone’s creations for this week’s showcase.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, I hope you’ve enjoyed how I’ve used Cherry Cobbler. Make sure you come back next week to see the colour Cinnamon Cider in our projects.

Colour INKspiration Challenge #82 - Celebrate Sunflowers

Hello and welcome to our latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #82 and this gorgeous photo was chosen by the lovely Colour INKspiration crew member, Cathy Pinchbeck..

The colours for this challenge are Just Jade, Melon Mambo, Whisper White and Basic Black for our inspiration to use in our projects. I just love the combination of these colours together. You can also add Crumb Cake and metallics. We also allow 'Ivory' and 'Bronze' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all of the closet Stampin' Up! colours, feel free to use a substitute i.e. Magenta Madness instead of Melon Mambo....you get the drift.

The #CI82 challenge runs for almost 3 weeks and will end at 7pm (AEST) on 10th August 2020. I hope you’ll enter into the Colour INKspiration Challenge we would so love to see your creation. More details below.

For my creation I have chosen to use the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle which is on page 13 of the Stampin' Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue.

I've actually cased the card in the photo of the Catalogue, using the Magenta Madness In Color 2020-2022 6"x 6" DSP, the largest Stitched So Sweetly Die in Whisper White and just for something a little bit different I've used Magenta Madness for the Sunflower. The layers are a watercolor wash onto watercolor paper and Magenta Madness Cardstock.

The leaves are in Just Jade, using a watercolor wash and Cardstock. I just love the Sunflower Dies there is so much detail to them and I've added a couple of black sprigs in Basic Black Cardstock.

The sentiment is embossed in White Stampin' Emboss Powder, heat set with the Heat Tool and fussy cut out. I just had to add  to my card the Black/White Baker's Twine which is from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack.

Make sure you come and visit our Facebook group to enter the competition, we would so love to see how you would use these colours.

Click here at Colour INKspiration Facebook group to take part and upload the photo of your creation. You don’t need a blog to enter either. Share with your crafty friends, so they can join in with the challenges too.

Hope to see you there!

Your Creative Connection 112 - Return To The Fold

Hello and welcome to my first creative showcase with Your Creative Connection, I will be joining in on the Global hop around the world with other Demonstrators for the next couple of months. I hope I will inspire you with my creations.

This week our theme is 'Return To The Fold" which means anything like a Fancy Fold or Fun Fold project. I haven't ever created this type of card before and I've seen some amazing ideas, so I searched up on Pinterest to find out more about these types of cards.

I've cased my card from the lovely Artisan Demonstrator Rochelle Blok who had created a Twist and Pop Card. She also shared a You Tube video on how to make this type of card. I'll add it at the end of this post.

The card looks simple from the outside, but once opened the inside pops out! There is a 4 panel, pop up element inside. You don't need an engineering degree either to make one of these. You'll just need Cardstock and strong adhesive, I've used Tear & Tape and Multipurpose Liquid Glue which has worked for my project.

My project is a Christmas card, I know it's just over 5 months away until Christmas, but I just couldn't resist on making my first Christmas Fancy Fold project. I recently received brand new products from the new Stampin' Up! August - December 2020 Mini Catalogue. Demonstrators can do this for the month of July. I've used the Snowflake Splendor Suite which is on page 36 - 38 from the Mini Catalogue, it caught my eye with the different shades of blues and it was certainly on my next Stampin' Up! order.

Stampin' Up! 2020 Mini Catalogue

I've used the stunning Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper which has hand painted snowflakes and wintery blues. I've combined the DSP with Night of Navy, Whisper White and Silver Foil for my card.

Here is a diagram of the measurements in cm for the card base, I've used Night of Navy, adding panels in Whisper White and finishing off with the DSP.

Cut 3 pieces in Night of Navy; 20cm x 9cm, 26cm x 9cm and 30cm x 10cm
Score where mentioned - - - - -

On the front of the card, I've embossed the Night of Navy panel using the Winter Snow Embossing Folder and also on the inside of the card, but this time I've used Whisper White. I just love all of the Snow Flakes and embossing is quick and easy!

The Snow Flakes are from the So Many Snowflakes Dies, which I've placed both inside and outside of the card. I've created white sparkle Snow Flakes with the Shimmery Crystal Effects this gives added glitter effects and a glossy lacquer to the Snow Flakes.

My sentiments are from the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set for the one on the front of the card, I've heat embossed it in White Stampin' Emboss Powder onto Night of Navy Cardstock and then die cut out using the Stitched Rectangle Dies. The one on the inside is heat embossed in Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder onto the panel of Whisper White Cardstock.

The final touch, I've added the Balmy Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems and they also come in Night of Navy. The are so beautiful with an iridescent sheen to them.

Now it's time to visit the lovely Dawn Olchefske in Minneapolis, USA and see her Fancy Fold project.

Week 8 Art With Heart Colour Creations Weekly Showcase Calypso Coral

Hello and welcome to Week 8 with the Art With Heart Colour Creations Weekly Showcase. Which the lovely Catherine Proctor is running our weekly blog and with a selection of other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from the Art With Heart Team.

This week we are featuring Calypso Coral in our projects. Calypso Coral is from the Subtles Colour Collection and comes in a range of Stampin' Up! products such as the Classic Stampin' Pad, Cardstock, Stampin' Blends, DSP and more.

I decided to feature this colour by creating two cards using the Free As A Bird Stamp Set and combing the colour with shades of blues. The cards might look familiar as I've cased my own cards that I created using this stamp set from last year. Both just happened to be from our Colour Creations back in 2019.

The first card I wanted Calypso Coral to stand out against one of the new In Colors 2020 - 2022 Misty Moonlight, the birds have been stamped in this colour and coloured in using the Stampin' Blends in Calypso Coral, Misty Moonlight and Balmy Blue.

The Misty Moonlight smaller stitched panel behind the birds is from the Stitched So Sweety Dies and I've sponged Misty Moonlight Ink to make the background darker and give some depth to the card.

The larger Misty Moonlight panel is embossed with the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder and I've added Ink in the same colour with the Stamping Sponge.

I just love the Night of Navy Ribbon and it's perfect at the bottom of the card. To finish I've used the sentiment which is from the Life Is Beautiful Stamp Set and will be available to purchase as of next month. It's from the new Stampin' Up! August - December 2020 Mini Catalogue.

For my next card I've used Calypso Coral as the main feature, using Cardstock, DSP, Ink and Stampin' Blends. The Bird is stamped in Misty Moonlight Ink, coloured with the Stampin' Blends using Calypso Coral, Misty Moonlight and Balmy Blue. I think these colours go so nicely together.

The Whisper White Cardstock gives the card a fresh look. Using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies again for the background and a little of the Balmy Blue Ink with a Sponge Dauber.

I wanted a different sentiment for this card, so I've used one from the Fancy Phrases Stamp Set which is from the Stampin' Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue.

Please visit Catherine's Blog to see her creation and all the links are there as well, so you’ll be able to see everyone’s creations for this week’s showcase.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, I hope you’ve enjoyed how I’ve used Calypso Coral. Make sure you come back next week to see the colour Cherry Cobbler in our projects.

Global Design Project #249 - Color Challenge

Hello and welcome,

Today I will be sharing with you a Color Challenge from the Global Design Project, I just loved their creations and the colors are stunning together. The colors are Misty Moonlight, Petal Pink and Pool Party. Be sure to check out all of their creations and join in on the challenge too!

I decided to use the Forever Blossoms Stamp Set and Cherry Blossoms Dies for my creation. I've stamped the large blossom image in Misty Moonlight Ink onto whisper White Cardstock, using a Blender Pen I colored in the image with Misty Moonlight and Pool Party Ink. I added on a few more of the smaller images from the stamp set to the card.

I love the large stamp image of the blossoms so much, I stamped it in Petal Pink Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock around the edges of the panel. Then I ripped along onside of the panel to add a layer to the card and show the Petal Pink DSP underneath.

I also added the stamped blossom image onto the Thick Whisper White card base in Petal Pink Ink. You can see it peeking out from under the ripped up Petal Pink DSP.

To add more layers to my card, I've added strips of DSP in the challenge colors. The Pool Party Sheer Ribbon is so elegant and adds a lovely touch to my project. To finish, I've placed a little sparkle using the Petal Pink Elegant Faceted Gems they are just so beautiful!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Happy Crafting

Art With Heart Team Creative Showcase July - Colouring Techniques

Hello and welcome,

The Art With Heart Team are back with another Creative Showcase, this time featuring different colouring techniques.The Stampin’ Up! range contains a bevy of functional and effective colouring tools that include;

Enjoy the amazing projects our team members have to share with you demonstrating these products.

My projects that I'll be sharing with you tonight are from the Peony Garden Suite which is in the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue 2020 - 2021 and this stunning Suite is on page 82 to 84. The colours I've chosen are a little bit different to the Peonies in the Catalogue, I wanted to change things up and use Highland Heather and Purple Posy for my main colour selection.

For my first card, I've stamped the Peonies in Stazon Jet Black Ink, using the Water Painters I lightly apply the Ink onto Watercolor Paper and I slowly build up the Ink until I'm happy with the application. The colours I've used are Highland Heather, So Saffron and Mossy Meadow.

Before layering the Peonies, leaves and sentiment, using a Sponge Dauber, I've sponged Highland Heather Ink onto the panel of Whisper White Cardstock giving the card a soft look and instant background. The Elegant Faceted Gems are stunning and I've used the clear ones for my card. The sentiment is from the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set, stamped in Highland Heather Ink and fussy cut out.

The second card, I have used the Stampin' Blends in Purple Posy and the Color Lifter to colour in a panel of the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper. The Blends make colouring easy, they give you instant shading when using the light & dark and I like to use the Colour Lifter to blend the two colours together.

I like to add a few different layers to this card, by using Purple Posy Cardstock, embossed in Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder and die cut the Cardstock using the scalloped die from the Peony Dies. Then I added a layer of Purple Posy In Color 2019-2021 6"x 6" DSP, a strip of Purple Posy Ribbon and Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon. The sentiment is from the Prized Peony Stamp Set, stamped in Basic Gray Ink and fussy cut out.

To match the card I decided to make a 3D gift bag from the All Dressed Up Dies and use the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper. I've used the Stampin' Blends in Purple Posy and Highland Heather to colour in the DSP. I've added Purple Posy Cardstock for the straps and Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon and tied it into a bow.

I hope you've enjoyed my creations and the colouring techniques that I've used today.

The next Art With Heart Team Member to share their colouring technique with you is the very tallented Rebecca Jacovou

Week 7 Art With Heart Colour Creations Weekly Showcase Cajun Craze

Hello and welcome to Week 7 with the Art With Heart Colour Creations weekly Showcase. Which the lovely Catherine Proctor is running our weekly blog and with a selection of other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from the Art With Heart Team.

This week we are featuring Cajun Craze, which is a colour I don't normally use, but I wanted to challenge myself by using this colour. I hope we will inspire you with our projects using Cajun Craze.

Cajun Craze is from the Regals Colour Collection and comes in a range of Stampin' Up! products such as the Classic Stampin' Pad, Cardstock, Stampin' Blends, DSP and more.

The two masculine projects that I have made is a card and gift tag, using the colours Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Cinnamon Cider. I think these colours go well together.

I started with the card first by creating the feathers using Watercolor Paper, Water Painters applying a mix of ink using Cajun Craze and Cinnamon Cider. Once the ink was dry, I then stamped the feather stamp from the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set, stamped it in Cinnamon Cider and fussy cut the images out.

The tree stump stamp is from the Rooted In Nature Stamp Set, stamped in Early Espresso onto Early Espresso Cardstock and fussy cut the image out. I've sponged some Cajun Craze Ink onto the pressed wood leaf element which gives a different look and colour to the leaf.

Using a panel of Crumb Cake Cardstock, I've embossed it with the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder, using Crumb Cake Ink I've sponged ink onto the wood panel with the Stamping Sponges. By doing this it gives you a more defined look on your Cardstock and you can see the wooded texture.

I wanted the tree stump, feathers and wood element to be layered onto a strip of Cajun Craze Cardstock. Before adding all of the elements, I've randomly stamped the feather stamp in Cajun Craze Ink onto Cajun Craze Cardstock. I've wrapped the Linen Thread around the panel to give it some added texture and then I added all of the different elements.

The final addition is the sentiment, I've used the greeting from the Rooted In Nature Stamp Set, stamped it in Early Espresso Ink onto Crumb Cake Cardstock, die cut the image out using the stitched Tasteful Labels Dies. The card base is half a sheet of the Cajun Craze Cardstock.

For the gift tag, I've used Cajun Craze Cardstock for the base, punched it using the Scalloped Tag Topper and layered a piece of the embossed Pinewood Planks in Crumb Cake Cardstock. The feather is stamped in Cajun Craze Ink onto Cajun Craze Cardstock and fussy cut out. I've added a little of Cinnamon Cider Ink onto the pressed wood leaf element and the greeting is stamped in Cinnamon Cider onto Crumb Cake Cardstock. Then die cut out using the Tasteful Labels Dies.

Please visit Catherine's Blog to see her creation and all the links are there as well, so you’ll be able to see everyone’s creations for this week’s showcase.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, I hope you’ve enjoyed how I’ve used Cajun Craze. Make sure you come back next week to see the colour Calypso Coral in our projects.
