Colour INKspiration Challenge #100

 Hello and welcome,

We have reached the 100th Colour INKspiration Challenge CI#100 which is very exciting!!! I'm so happy to be part of this amazing group of ladies over at Colour INKspiration design team where each fortnight there is a colour challenge.

The first challenge started back in January 11th 2017 CI#01 and was founded by Bronwyn Eastley, she put together a crew of 25 ladies from Australia and New Zealand, we still have 8 of the original members at the Colour INKspiration crew.

I started joining in the challenges back in July 2017 CI#13 and then I was asked to join the crew in October 2019 CI#65. I've enjoyed looking back at the colour challenges and the cards I've created over the years.

Now for the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge CI#100 and this beautiful photo was chosen by Bronwyn Eastley. The photograph is at Bridestowe Lavender Farm in Tasmania. I love the bright colours for the challenge.

The colour combination for CI#100 are Gorgeous Grape, Magenta Madness and Bermuda Bay. As well as the chosen colours you may also add Basic White, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory' and 'Bronze' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Melon Mambo instead of Magenta Madness.... you get the drift).

The challenge will run for almost 2 weeks until 7pm on the 7th June 2021 details to follow at the end of my blog.

I started with half a sheet of Basic White Cardstock for the card base, then I added a panel of Basic White Cardstock using the Ombre ink blending technique I slowly added Magenta Madness Ink with the Blending  Brush starting at the top and working my way down until I was about half way.

I've splattered Magenta Madness Ink using the brush tip from the Stampin' Blend by flicking the brush against the lid onto the Magenta Madness Ombre panel.

Blending ink by using the three challenge colours onto the large flowers and leaves die cut image from the Artistic Dies. I just love the Expressions In Ink Suite so much!

I've used the stitched label die from the Floral Heart Dies in Basic White Cardstock and I've added Gorgeous Grape Ink to highlight the stitching.

I also added a few of the smaller die cut images from the Floral Heart Dies mixing them up with the Artistic leaves Dies.

The sentiment is from the Create with Friends Stamp Set I've fussy cut out the stamped image 'Celebrate' and heat embossed the 'Let's & You' using Versamark Ink, White Stampin' Emboss Powder and Heat Tool. To finish off I added a few of the Clear Epoxy Essentials to the card.

I hope you can participate in this latest round and as we so look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is new and made specially for this challenge.

CI#100 will run until 7pm (ADET) on Monday 7th June 2021.

Just a reminder to upload your challenge pics straight to the discussion wall and not in an album.

Global Design Project Color Challenge #GDP293

 Hello and welcome,

I'm so excited to share with you the latest Global Design Project Color Challenge #GDP293 as guest designer for this weeks challenge, I was given three of the 2021 - 2023 In Colors - Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen.

I've created two projects using the challenge colours using the Artistically Inked Bundle with  the Create With Friends Stamp Set both items can be found in the new 2021 - 2022 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue.

First up is the Stampin' Blends alcohol background technique on vellum, which I've been wanting to create for sometime now. Starting with Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen Stampin' Blends using the brush tip to apply the colour onto the sheet of Vellum.

You need pure alcohol to make it work as it needs to be more than 90% I've used Isopropyl alcohol with a pant brush and ear syringe to help blow the alcohol around the vellum. This was a fun technique and I highly recommend you give it a try. Let me know how you go.

The Artistically Inked Stamp Set is unique and I love the images. I've layered the flowers with the leaves  on top of the sentiment stamped in Soft Succulent onto Basic White Cardstock and die cut out using the Tailor Made Tags Dies.

To finish off the card I've added Soft Succulent Jewels and Pale Papaya Ribbon.

Next is the 3D Scalloped Kraft Treat Box which is a new product from Stampin' Up! in the Annual Catalogue, you get 8 boxes each has a lid with a base and they are food safe.

Using the large flowers and leaves die from the Artistic Dies, I've die cut out the image twice using Basic White Cardstock and applied the challenge colours with the Blending Brushes. Layering the die images onto the lid and box with Tombow Mono Liquid Glue.

The Evening Evergreen Ribbon is stunning against the Kraft Box, I've added some Evening Evergreen Jewels and gift tag with the sentiment stamped in Evening Evergreen. It's a stunning color and it's so beautiful to work with.

Global Design Project #GDP292 - Artistically Inked Birthday Card

 Hello and welcome

I've entered into the latest Global Design Project #GDP292 - Case The Designer - Susan Wong who is an amazing Artisan Designer and I just love her projects. I've CASED her card by using the layout which saves you a lot of time when it comes to creating a card.

The card I've created is for a customer who requested a pink card for a friend, who just so happens she loves pink! I love pink too! Polished Pink is so beautiful with white and gold foil.

The whole Expressions in Ink Suite is my favourite from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue for 2021 to 2022. I just had to use it for this project. The Expressions in Ink 12" x 12" Specialty DSP is perfect for the background panel, I've used the Polished Pink with Gold Foil and White Paper.

I've used the large flowers and leaves detail die which is from the Artistic Dies, I've die cut using Basic White Cardstock and added Magenta Madness Ink with the Blending Brush. I've also added a little of the Gold Gilded Leafing to the die cut image.

To finish off the card I've added White Baker's Twine, stamped the sentiment in Magenta Madness Ink onto a strip of Basic White Cardstock and added Polished Pink In Color 2021 - 2023 Jewels.

Artistically Inked Bundle - Masculine Card

 Hello and welcome,

I really like to create masculine cards and sometimes I just don't seem to make enough of them. It was my hubby's birthday yesterday and I always love to create him a special card. I just received my Stampin' Up! order from the new Annual Catalogue for 2021 - 2022 and of course I ordered the Artistically Inked Bundle. Everything in this suite is so beautiful!

Over on Stampin' Fancy Friday Facebook page and Instagram Page it's Manly May - masculine card challenge for the month of May. I'm loving their ideas and especially Martin's Mayham Stitched Stars card the combination of blues, yellow, grey and white is a great colour combo.

The colours I've used are Night of Navy for the card base and tone on tone panel. I've stamped the watercolour stamp images in Night of Navy Ink onto the panel randomly. This gives a nice background for my card.

To create the detailed leaves dies I've used the Blending Brushes with Basic White Cardstock, I applied lightly using Night of Navy Ink to the cardstock and splattered Night of Navy Ink using the light Stampin' Blend. I did the same for the yellow leaves this time using Bumblebee Ink and Daffodil Delight dark Stampin' Blend. I really like the tones of Bumblebee against Night of Navy.

The stitched circle swirl is from the Painted Labels Dies, I've added Night of Navy Ink with the Blending Brush to Basic White Cardstock and stamped the watercolour image in Misty Moonlight Ink onto the die cut piece.

The sentiment is from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set, I've stamped Bumblebee Ink onto a strip of Basic White Cardstock and then a strip of Night of Navy Cardstock, heat embossed using Versamark Ink, White Stampin' Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool.

To finish off the card I've added Daffodil Delight Ice Cream Corner Sprinkles. Here's to making more of masculine cards! That's my challenge.

Colour INKspiration Challenge #99

Hello and welcome,

It's the latest Colour INKspiration challenge #CI99 and this stunning photo was chosen by Jacque Williams one of the Design Crew Members. This colour combo is so beautiful and something I normally wouldn't create using these colours, but I do love a colour challenge!

The colour combination for #CI99 are Mint Macaron, Just Jade, Smoky Slate and Soft Suede. As well as the chosen colours you may also add Basic White, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory' and 'Bronze' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Gray Granite instead of Smoky Slate.... you get the drift).

The challenge will run for almost 2 weeks until 7pm on the 31st May 2021 details to follow at the end of my blog.

Today's card is a watercolour handmade card using the Simply Succulents Stamp Set and Potted Succulents Dies. The challenge colours I thought are perfect for the succulents, by mixing the colours together with different combinations to achieve a variation of colour.

I've stamped the images using Stazon Jet Black Ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock and I applied ink with the Water Painters. I like to use the fine tip brush for the succulents and large flat brush tip for the planter pot.

Before layering the die cut pieces to the card, I added Smoky Slate Ink with the Blending Brush to the panel of Basic White Cardstock. The sentiment is also from the Simply Succulents Stamp Set, I stamped off before randomly stamping the image three times to the Basic White panel.

To finish off the card, I've heat embossed the sentiment with Versamark Ink, sprinkled White Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set using the Heat Tool. The card base is Smoky Slate Cardstock and the bow is White Baker's Twine.

I hope you can participate in this latest round and as we so look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is new and made specially for this challenge.

#CI99 will run until 7pm (ADET) on Monday 31st May 2021.

Please click on the link here to join the challenge.

Just a reminder to upload your challenge pics straight to the discussion wall and not in an album.

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - 2021 - 23 In Colors

Hello and welcome,

It's Stamping 2nd Sunday latest blog hop for May, hosted by Sara Levin and for this month the design team will be showcasing our projects using the new In Colors for 2021 to 2023. It's always exciting when the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue comes out and to see the new In Colors is so much fun!

For my creations I've used three of the five In Colors and made three cards for the simple, casual and avid crafter.

Simple crafter

For this card I've used Fresh Freesia using Ink, Cardstock, DSP and Embellishment. Starting with the card base in Fresh Freesia, layered with a panel in gingham DSP from Pansy Petals 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper.

The image of the butterfly is from the Butterfly Brilliance Stamp Set which is one large stamp so you get multiples of butterflies all at once and die cut using the Brilliant Wings Dies. I've used the second largest circle and scalloped die which is from the Layering Circles Dies. I splattered Fresh Freesia Ink with the Stampin Blend onto the Basic White Cardstock.

The sentiment is from the Art Gallery Stamp Set, stamped onto a strip of Basic White Cardstock and I just had to add a single embellishment using the Loose Flower Flourishes in Fresh Freesia.

Casual Crafter

I've used Polished Pink and Pale Papaya for the casual crafter stepping it up with blending these two colours together to create the butterfly using the Blending Brush onto Shimmery White Cardstock. I've layered the butterfly over another butterfly in Polished Pink Shimmer Vellum.

The panel of Basic White cardstock is a mix of the two colours splattered using the brush end of the Stampin' Blends and you flick against the lid. I lightly added Polished Pink Ink with the Blending Brush to the cardstock.

The In Colors have the most beautiful ribbons, they are so easy to use and are sheer. I've layered the Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon and placed it down with Tear and Tape.

The sentiment is also from the Art Gallery Stamp Set and die cut out with the Floral Gallery Dies. I've added three of the flower embellishments and lots of sparkle using Clear Wink of Stella.

Avid Crafter

The avid crafter is going all out when making their projects, I like to mix different stamp sets, dies etc....to my creation.

\I've mixed the three In Colors here using Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia and Pale Papaya with lots of different elements.

The main Ombre panel is created by using the Blending Brush and Pale Papaya Ink onto Basic White Cardstock starting from the bottom and working my way up. I added Pale Papaya splattered ink using the Stampin' Blends.

The new Tailor Made Tags Dies are so cute and it was on the top of my pre-order list. I thought it would be fun to add them to the card instead of just using them as tags. I cut the Fresh Freesia ribbon in half to foam two thin strips and looped it through the hole of the tags.

The additional of the Polished Pink flowers and Fresh Freesia foliage die cut elements are from the Floral Heart Dies and the butterfly die cut is in Pale Papaya.

The greeting is from Always In My Heart Stamp Set stamped in Versamark Ink, heat embossed using White Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. Then die cut using the banner die from Floral Heart Dies.

More additions of the Loose Flower Flourish Embellishments this time in Fresh Freesia and Pale Papaya. I just had to add more sparkle to the card with Clear Wink of Stella, it's hard to see with the photos but trust me it's there!
