Week 18 Art With Heart Colour Creations Weekly Showcase Gorgeous Grape

Hello and welcome to Week 18 with the Art With Heart Colour Creations Weekly Showcase. Which the lovely Catherine Proctor is running our weekly blog and with a selection of other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from the Art With Heart Team.

This week we are featuring Gorgeous Grape in our projects and it's such a gorgeous colour! Gorgeous Grape is part of the Brights Collection and comes in a range of Stampin' Up! products such as the Classic Stampin' Pad, Cardstock, DSP and more.

For my project I've used the Forever Fern Bundle, Gold Foil and the Gold Hoop Embellishment. They all add an interesting look to the card.

The other main feature is the boldness of the water colour stripes using Gorgeous Grape Ink, the large flat brush and Shimmery White Cardstock. It's all free hand and using Grid Paper as a guide for straight lines. I've made some of the lines a littler softer shade of Gorgeous Grape.

I've used the combination of Gorgeous Grape and Just Jade Ink for the stamped images from the Forever Fern Stamp Set. The images are then die cut out using the Forever Flourishing Dies.

The Gold Foil is perfect little addition to the arrangement to the Gold Hoop and foliage. I just love all of the tiny little details this bundle can give you.

The layers of Cardstock are Gorgeous Grape for the card base and a panel in Gold Foil. I like to die cut out some of the images from the Gold Foil panel, before layering the Shimmery White Cardstock on top.

The sentiment is from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set and inked up in Gorgeous Grape onto a scrap piece of Whisper White. The finale touch, I added Rich Razzleberry Artistry Blooms Sequins to my project.

Thank you for visiting my blog with the Colour Creations Weekly Showcase and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's projects.

Your Creative Connection Halloween #YCC116

Hello and welcome

Today's project with the Your Creative Connection is all about Halloween or Autumn and I have chosen Halloween for my 3D creation. I always love this time of year and Halloween is getting bigger in Australia. My kids love to dress up and going Trick or Treating! Giving out gifts and treats is always a fun tradition.

For my project I've used the Mini Pizza Box, lots of Dies and the very cute Have a Hoot Bundle. The owl is so cute peeking over his cape looking at the bat and the Silver Foil Spider Web. I've used different textures and many layers with different Stampin' Up! products from the August - December 2020 Mini Catalogue and the 2020/21 Annual Catalogue.

\

To start with the Mini Pizza Box, inking up the box with Memento Ink and a Stamping Sponge until the box is completely covered. To achieve the black shimmer fill a Stampin' Spritzer with Rubbing Alcohol, a couple of drops of Frost White Shimmer Paint and spritz all over the box. I like to spritz my projects in a cardboard box and outside too.

I've created a belly band for my 3D project, using the gorgeous Magic in this Night DSP measurements are 12"x 3" and secured with Tear and Tape. I just love the Silver Metallic Mesh Ribbon against the DSP and it's perfect against the black paper.

I love to use glitter in my projects, I've used the largest die from the Forever Flourish Dies in Black Glitter Paper and you'll find this specialty paper in the Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue on page 53.

Adding a balance of Silver Foil by using the Sunflower Dies for the sprigs, the Peek A Hoot Dies for the spider web and the moon.

The black tag is one of three from the Peek A Hoot Dies, I've used the largest one in Basic Black Cardstock, spritzed it with my mix of Frost White Shimmer Paint and Rubbing Alcohol in the Stampin' Spritzer. I've added the combination of the Metallic Mesh Ribbon and Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon to the tag.

The cute owl is stamped in Memento Ink and coloured in with the Stampin' Blends in the following colours - Smoky Slate, Highland Heather, Blackberry Bliss, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie. The tag is layered over the die cut pieces using Stampin' Dimenisonals. I've decided to not use a sentiment as the gift box speaks for it self.

Now it's time to visit the lovely Dawn Olchefske in Minneapolis, USA and see her beautiful project.

Here's the list of participants from around the world

Colour INKspiration Challenge #86

Hello and welcome,

Today’s Colour INKspiration Challenge #86 is using these stunning colours – Coastal Cabana, Pacific Point and Shaded Spruce. I love these colours together and isn’t the photo for our challenge just gorgeous!

I felt inspired to create a Christmas card for the colours and one of my favourite techniques at the moment is ink blending and with a little water resist. I’ve used a panel of Shimmery White Cardstock to cover the card front.

Using the Sponge Daubers for each of the colours, I started off with Coastal Cabana then Shaded Spruce and finished off with Pacific Point. Blending the colours together until I was happy with the application.

I applied water droplets by using the fine tip Water Painter and flicked water onto the Cardstock.

The In The Pines Bundle is very useful for any Christmas card and the Pine Wood Dies have different sizes for the Pine trees.

The larger tree I applied Coastal Cabana and Pacific Point Ink Sponged onto the tips of the tree. To add a little sparkle, I’ve used Shimmery Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter which sadly is now retired.

The other two trees I sponged Pacific Point and Shaded Spruce ink onto the trees. For the snow tips I’ve heat embossed White Stampin’ Emboss Powder onto the trees.

The Stag is from the North Pole Dies, I’ve added Coastal Cabana Ink and glitter. The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set and is heat embossed using White Stampin’ Powder. To finish off the card, I added tiny snowflakes from the Snowflake Sequins.

Heart of Christmas 2020 - September by the Art With Heart Team Australia

Hello and welcome,

Tonight the Art With Heart Team will be showcasing their Christmas projects with you for the month of September. The lovely Judy May is the host for our monthly hop, so make sure you click on her name at the end of this blog.

For my card today I decided to use the Peaceful Boughs Stamp Set and Dies which is on page 57 of the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue and I've combined new products from the August - December 2020 Mini Catalogue.

I really love this set and using different products gives this Christmas card a new look. I had a light bulb moment and I wanted to use the Gold Hoop Embellishment as a starting point for my card.

Using the Beautiful Boughs Die images with the 12"x 12" Brushed Metallic Cardstock which comes in Bronze, Copper & Gold. They work well together and with the Gold Hoop Embellishment.

The card base is in Shaded Spruce Cardstock adding another panel in the same colour, using the larger pine branch inked up in Shaded Spruce Ink and stamped around the edge of the Cardstock. I just love this colour so much and the richness of the Shaded Spruce Argyle Satin Ribbon adds another layer to my card.

The sentiment is heat embossed in Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder onto Whisper White Cardstock and die cut with the smaller label from the Beautiful Boughs Dies.

Adding a little sparkle to the card, I've used the Just Jade Gems from the Flowers for Every Season Gems. It's hard to tell from the photos, but when the light shines on the card it gives a nice shine to the gold and the gems.

Now it's time to visit Judy May's blog and the rest of the participants for this month's Heart of Christmas Showcase.

Need a catalogue? Please send me a message here or visit my online store here to purchase any of the above products that I've used in today's project

Week 16 Art With Heart Colour Creations Weekly Showcase Flirty Flamingo

Hello and welcome to Week 16 with the Art With Heart Colour Creations Weekly Showcase. Which the lovely Catherine Proctor is running our weekly blog and with a selection of other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from the Art With Heart Team.

This week we are featuring Flirty Flamingo in our projects. Flirty Flamingo is part of the Brights Collection and comes in a range of Stampin' Up! products such as the Classic Stampin' Pad, Cardstock, DSP and more.

It's certainly starting to feel like Spring is in the air, the days are getting warmer, the flowers are blooming and the birds are twittering. Using Flirty Flamingo is such a bright and happy colour so that's why today's project is using the Prized Peony Bundle.

I've used the embossed resist technique with water colouring. The Peony image is stamped in Versamark Ink onto White Shimmery Cardstock, sprinkle White Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool.

Using one of the fine tip Water Painters I started off with Mango Melody Ink for the center of the Peony followed by Flirty Flamingo and also a little of Melon Mambo to make some of the petals pop. The fun part is that you can go over the white lines when using this technique. It really shows off the Peonies.

The leaves are in Old Olive Ink, I also followed this colour through out the card with the sentiment which is from Fancy Phrases and sponged Ink with the Sponge Dauber for the background on Whisper White Cardstock.

Flirty Flamingo can be a very bright colour but also you can tone it down as well. I've created my own DSP using the same Peony stamp, inked up in Flirty Flamingo Ink, stamped off twice before stamping around the edges of the Whisper White Cardstock. It's so pretty in this colour and I didn't want to cover it up. I might just have to have a play with this colour again and create another card.

I've layered the panels onto one another, adhere them to Flirty Flamingo Cardstock for the card base and I've added a strip of White Faux Linen Ribbon to my project.

Thank you for visiting my blog with the Colour Creations Weekly Showcase and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's projects.

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Texture Time

Hello and welcome to my first blog with the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Team, the lovely Sara Levin recently asked my to join and I'm so excited to be joining the design team. We will be sharing certain Stampin' Up! products every second Sunday of the month.

The theme for September is Texture using Embossing Folders and Ribbon from the Stampin' Up! 2020 Mini Catalogue to our projects. The products I've combined together are the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder and Silver Metallic Mesh Ribbon.

The three cards I've created are for a Beginner Crafter, Casual Crafter & Avid Crafter. Starting basic with very minimal colour and slowly adding more colour as I went with each card. I really love use shades of blues, white and silver for my Christmas cards.

Beginner Crafter

Starting with Whisper White Cardstock and simply emboss the panel with the Evergreen Forest Embossing Folder. Adding a little of Wink of Stella by tapping it against another pen and the sentiment is inked up in Seaside Spray.

Adding the Embossed panel to the Silver Foil panel, place the Silver Metallic Ribbon around the card and simply tie a smaller piece in a knot and adhere with a Glue Dot. Then add the finished panels to Thick Whisper White Cardstock.

Casual Crafter

The second card is very similar to the first one, but with this card I've added coloured ink using a Sponge Dauber and coloured in the Whisper White Embossed panel.

Starting with Seaside Spray, I lightly added colour blending into Misty Moonlight and finishing off with Night of Navy Ink. This gave an Ombre effect to the card.

I've added a splatter of Wink of Stella to the Embossed panel and a Silver Metallic Bow. The sentiment is inked up in Misty Moonlight Ink.

Avid Crafter

This card has more detail and techniques added to the card. Before I Embossed the Whisper White Cardstock I used the Ink Blending Technique using the same colours as the above card.

Once the panel is Embossed, I added tiny water droplets with the Water Painter and sprinkled Wink of Stella for a pretty snow effect to the card.

Adding a little shimmer to the Evergreen Forest by using Frost White Shimmer Paint and the fine tip Water Painter.

I thought the Pine Wood Dies would be perfect for the snow scene, adding two different layers for the snow and lightly sponging Seaside Spray and Misty Moonlight Ink. The two trees are in Silver Foil and to finish off I've added the Silver Metallic Bow. I thought about colouring in the Metallic Ribbon with the Stampin' Blends, but I do so love it in silver.

I've heat embossed the greeting using Versamark Ink, adding Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. Once again adding the Silver Foil panel under the detailed Embossed panel and  this time I've used Night of Navy Cardstock for the card base.

There are so many different Embossing Folders and Ribbons in the Mini Catalogue to create with for your projects. Make sure you click on the below links to see the other designers. I can't wait to see their creations.

Art With Heart Team Creative Showcase September - Masculine

Hello and welcome,

Today the Art With Heart Team will be showcasing their projects for the month of September and the theme is Masculine. Stampin' Up! have a range of products including Stamp Sets, with coordinating Dies, Designer Series Paper, Embellishments, Ribbon and Embossing Folders.

For my project I've used the Forever Fern Bundle, Tasteful Textile and Subtle 3D Embossing Folders. The colour combination is two of the In Colors 2020 - 2022 Misty Moonlight & Cinnamon Cider and In Color 2019 - 2021 Seaside Spray. I love this colour combination and it's perfect for a Masculine card.

Starting off with Misty Moonlight card base, adding a layer of Cinnamon Cider embossed using Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder and sponge coordinating ink at the corners with a Sponge Dauber.

The wide strip of Misty Moonlight Cardstock is embossed using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder and sponged Misty Moonlight Ink with a Sponge Dauber.

The stamped images from the Forever Fern Stamp Set are in Cinnamon Cider Ink & Cardstock, Misty Moonlight Ink & Cardstock and Misty Moonlight Ink stamped onto Seaside Spray Cardstock. Using the coordinating Forever Flourishing Dies.

Adding to the card is the sentiment which is from Seaside Notions Stamp Set, Misty Moonlight Ribbon and a leaf wood accent from the In Good Taste Elements.
