Social Stamping Blog Host - Hearts

Welcome to the latest Social Stamping Blog Host, today we will be sharing our creations with the theme Hearts. Thank you to Kelly Kent for organizing another amazing blog hop with these wonderful women.

When I think of hearts, I think of all the love we share when making a card to someone and showing them just how much they mean to us. Expect to see lots of love in our creations.

The products for my card that I have used today, some are retiring and some are brand new! I really like how I've put the greys with pinks and white together.

To start off with the tiny stitched hearts, I've mixed Rococo Rose Ink and Frost White Shimmer Paint together on a acrylic block, this gives a really nice pearl look to the coloured ink. I brushed the ink onto a strip of Shimmery White Cardstock and die cut out the stitched hearts.

The panel for the card is the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper and it's just stunning! I especially like the greys. I ran the DSP through my die cutting machine with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. I added a strip of Rococo Rose In Color 6"x 6" gingham DSP (retiring) under the Gray Granite Textured Weave Ribbon (retiring).

The Vellum swirl adds a different shade of grey and layer to the card. I've stamped the large heart image in Rococo Rose and punch it out with the coordinating punch. For the grey heart I've used the DSP and Heat Embossed White Stampin' Emboss Powder and punched out the with the Heart Punch.

I've added a few of the Clear Epoxy Droplets to finish off the card.

Colour INKspiration Challenge #78

Hello and welcome to our latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #78 and this fun photo is our inspiration for our projects. The colours for this challenge are Blushing Bride, Gray Granite and Early Espresso a favourite combination of mine. You can also add Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black and metallics.

The challenge runs for almost 2 weeks and will end at 7pm (AEST) on 8th June 2020. I hope you’ll enter into the Colour INKspiration Challenge we would so love to see your creation. More details below.

I love these colours together so much, I just couldn’t wait to get out my inks and my new Stampin’ Up! products from the new 2020 – 2021 Annual Catalogue. I’ve used the new Tasteful Textures Stamp Set and Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder for my card.

I wanted a Shabby Chic look for the card, so I decided to get out my sewing machine and sew the panel of Brushing Bride Cardstock. It’s my first time doing this and I love it!

I’ve added many layers to the card by using different types of DSP, Watercolor Paper and Cardstock. The Watercolor Paper is a wash of Gray Granite and Early Espresso Ink for the background.
The stamped images of the feathers are in the challenge colours and the flower is stamped in Blushing Bride. The sentiment is a scrap piece of Watercolor Paper with a wash of Blushing Bride Ink and the greeting stamped in Early Espresso.

I like to add a few delicate touches to the card by using the key from the Bird Ballad Trinkets which is retiring and the gorgeous Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim. I might have to try out sewing with my cards again. Have you ever tried it?

Make sure you visit our Facebook group to enter the competition, we would love to see how you would use these colours.

Social Stamping Blog Host - Animals

Hello,

Welcome to our latest Social Stampers Blog Hop for this week we are showcasing the theme “Animals”.

I recently received a Stampin’ Up! order and in the BBB (Big Brown Box) was the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper, which is available for purchase as of the 3rd June 2020. The DSP is of photographic images and visual textures which I thought would work well with the Nature’s Beauty Stamp Set.

I love the different coloured tones of the DSP, so I coordinate the water coloured deer using Early Espresso, Cajuin Craze and Sahara Sand. The dear fits nicely in the die which is from the Tasteful Labels Dies.

I’ve placed some strips of the DSP under the deer, giving the card some different wood textures. The panels of DSP and Early Espresso Cardstock have been curled at the corners and I used the blade of my paper snips to ruff up the edges of the DSP. The panel of Early Espresso Cardstock is embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.

The sentiment is from the Seaside Notions Stamp Set, stamped in Early Espresso onto Crumb Cake Cardstock.

Art With Heart Team May Creative Showcase - Sketch Challenge

Welcome to the Monthly Art With Heart Creative Showcase. This month the Art With Heart Team have amazing projects to share with you that have been inspired by the card sketch below. The sketch is to be used as a starting point and has been interpreted in many creative ways by the Art With Heart Team.

I recently just received my BBB (Big Brown Box) with new Stampin’ Up! products from the new Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalogue 2020 – 2021 Demonstrators can preorder a month before customers. It's so exciting when you receive new goodies!! Customers can order from the 3rd of June 2020.

I’ve used the In Good Taste Suite which is very versatile, you can create your projects into either feminine or masculine. I started with the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set and I was drawn to the flower image, so I inked it up in Night of Navy onto Whisper White Cardstock. I used the Stampin’ Blends in light & dark Seaside Spray and light Night of Navy. There are Dies in the Suite but not for the stamped images, so I fussy cut out the flowers which I don’t mind doing at all.

I’ve used the largest circle die from the Stitched Shapes Dies and die cut out using Seaside Spray Cardstock. I placed the circle in the new Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder which gives you the best texture and I so adore it. I added a little sponging with a Sponge Dauber and Seaside Spray Ink onto the circle.

To create the strip of Night of Navy DSP, I’ve used the branch image and stamped in Night of Navy Ink onto the Cardstock.

I just had to use the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder again, so I placed a panel of Night of Navy Cardstock with the Embossing Folder. I also sponged Night of Navy Ink onto the embossed panel to give the card more depth.

The pressed wood leaf embellishments which are part of the suite are gorgeous and they go so nicely with the colours that I’ve chosen for the card. I was so happy to see the Denim Ribbon return in the Catalogue and it’s a great addition to the card.

The sentiment is from the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set which fits nicely inside one of the new Tasteful Labels Dies.

The next demonstrator to share her interpretation of the sketch is the fabulous Christina Barnes

Social Stamping Blog Host - Sunshine

Hello,

Welcome to our latest Social Stampers Blog Hop for this week we are showcasing the theme “Sunshine”.

It’s a beautiful weekend in Melbourne with the sun shining and we are aloud out to visit our family and friends which makes it extra special. The sun always makes me feel happy and this bright happy card will sure bring a smile to your face.

I’ve used a number of different shades of yellows from Stampin’ Up! like Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, So Saffron and Pineapple Punch which is retiring soon. Also retiring are the Pigment Sprinkles which I’ve used for my Daisy, I just love the bright colours and you just never know how the Pigment will look once applied onto the Water Color Paper.

I’ve added Pineapple Punch Ink to the strip of Water Color paper and added splatter effect with the Aqua Painter (which is also retiring). The gorgeous gingham DSP is in So Saffron, which layered over Whisper White Cardstock and the card base is Daffodil Delight.

I just love the sentiment from the Daisy Lane Stamp Set “It’s your time to Shine” it’s such a positive greeting and perfect for this “Sunshine” project. What do you think?

Both the embellishments finish off the card nicely and I will miss them for sure.

Colour INKspiration Challenge #77

Hello and welcome to our latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #77 and this beautiful photo is our inspiration to create something special. The colours for this challenge are Old Olive, Soft Sea Foam, Garden Green, Very Vanilla and Seaside Spray. You can also add Whisper White, Basic Black and metallics.

The challenge runs for almost 2 weeks and will end at 7pm (AEST) on 25th May 2020. I hope you’ll enter into the Colour INKspiration Challenge we would so love to see your creation.

I just love the colours for this challenge and here’s my card using the Bloom and Grow Bundle. I haven’t used this bundle for awhile and I thought it was perfect to do water colouring with these colours.

I started off with Fluid 100 Water Color Paper and Gold Embossed the flower image times two. I’ve blended Garden Green with Seaside Spray with my Aqua Painter to create a darker blue/green flower (I think it’s a nice blend). The middle flower is only Soft Sea Foam, stating off with a light touch of ink and slowly adding more colour. The third flower is a light combination of Soft Sea Foam and Seaside Spray which is also a nice combination. Who knew that these colours would really work well together! That’s why I love these colour challenges.

The card base is Thick Very Vanilla Cardstock and I’ve stamped a leaf image from the stamp set in Soft Sea Foam just randomly on the card front. The next layer is a sheet of Soft Sea Foam in gingham Subtles 6”x 6” DSP, die cut out with the Stitched Rectangles Dies. I also die cut out a smaller layer of water color paper with the Stitched Dies and lightly brushed Seaside Spray Ink with the Aqua Painter.

The Soft Sea Foam Cardstock swirls is from the Parisian Dies which blends in nicely with the colours and bundle. The sentiment is in Old Olive Ink onto a strip of Very Vanilla Cardstock and before layering it to the card, I’ve added a strip of Old Olive Cardstock which finishes the card off nicely.
Make sure you visit our Facebook group to enter the competition, we would love to see how you would use these colours.

Social Stamping Blog Host - Family

Hi there, I’m so glad I had the chance to take part in the latest Social Stampers blog host.

Today, from the Social Stampers we are sharing our creations with the theme “Family” for this week.

As it’s Mother’s Day tomorrow I thought I would share just some of my cards that I have been creating for our little family business at YV Hampers. We source the best produce of the Yarra Valley and showcasing them into premium gourmet hampers. They are just perfect for a Mother’s Day gift and we love to support our local community. Below is just one of our many hampers and a Mother's Day card that I have created.

Spending time together with the family is very important, but unfortunately with COVID-19 this has made it very difficult as I would so love to see my parents who live in the country. I hope this day will come soon, but for now it will be a phone call or maybe a Zoom meeting.

The cards I have made is featuring the beautiful Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper which is from the 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue. I just love the hand-painted impressionistic imagery in rich colours and I’ve used the colours by using Cardstock and Ink.

I’ve used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies for the Mother’s Day greeting and coloured Cardstock. These Dies have various shapes and sizes which makes card making creative. They are also caring over into the new 2020 – 2021 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue which I’m very happy they are staying on.

This card I’ve used Night of Navy for the Cardstock and Ink.

This card I’ve used Mossy Meadow for the Cardstock and ink.

This card I’ve used Blackberry Bliss for the Cardstock and Ink.

This card I’ve used Blackberry Bliss for the Cardstock and Ink.

The final card I’ve used Gorgeous Grape for the Cardstock and Ink.

Creation Station May Blog Hop "Mad as a Hatter Mash Up"

Hello and welcome,

Today, I will be sharing with you a card that I’ve created for the latest Creation Station blog hop. This month’s theme is “Mad as a Hatter Mash Up” which means create something unexpectedly with different Stampin’ Up! products or use an outlandish colour palette.

It was so nice to get back into the craft room and create something a little bit different for a change. I had no idea what I was going to do but after a few days later I started to get some ideas in my head. I wanted to use bright colours and I thought what are the opposite colours in the colour wheel? Purple and yellow was a good colour combination to start with.

The main medium for my card is using the Pigment Sprinkles they are bright and fun to play with, so I started with the Bermuda Bay and a panel of water color paper for my under the sea card. The layer underneath is Mango Melody Pigment Sprinkles and water color paper. Around the edges of the water color paper I’ve applied Versamark Ink to the paper, sprinkled Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool.

Through out the card I’ve applied Gold Embossing or I’ve used Gold Foil. I just had to use Gorgeous Grape as my card base as I’ve used the colour through out the card. I’ve Embossed a panel of Gorgeous Grape with the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder and added Gold Embossing Powder.

I liked the idea of adding different Dies or Punches to the card, the leaf Die from the Seasonal layers was fun to play with, using it with the Gold Foil and also combing Pigment Sprinkles with water color paper. The Medium Daisy Punch is so cute and using Mango Melody with Gorgeous Grape really stands out in the card.

I’ve so enjoyed creating this card and playing with the Pigment Sprinkles, they will be missed as they are retiring as of the 3rd June from the Annual 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up! Catalogue. The fun part with Pigment Sprinkles is you just never know how your card will turn out and no two cards will ever look the same.

Be sure to visit everyone’s blog and see their amazing creations for the month of May. Make sure you come back next month for more inspiration and to see our creations.
