Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI129

 Hello and welcome,

My name is Vicki Boucher, and I am from Melbourne, Australia. Tonight, it's the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI129 and this photo was chosen by Monica Formosa. I love the bright colours and with added touch of silver in the photo.

The colour combination for #CI129 is Mango Melody, Starry Sky, Basic Gray and Silver. As well as the chosen colours you may also add Basic White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory' and 'Bronze' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Daffodil Delight instead of Mango Melody .... you get the drift).

The challenge will run for almost 2 weeks until 7pm (AEST) on Monday 26th September 2022 details to follow at the end of my blog.

The colours go so nicely together, but I was wondering how I was going to add Basic Gray with Mango Melody and Starry Sky? So, I decided to use it in a sentiment. The sentiment is from Full of Love stamp set.

Starting with a panel of Shimmery White Cardstock I created an inky wash using the two bright colours together, once dry I splattered ink using Starry Sky and Basic Gray Stampin' Write Markers.

For the torn-up Designer Series Paper I've used Hues of Happiness for the Mango Melody and 2022 - 2024 In Color 6"x 6" DSP for Starry Sky.

I wanted the Mango Melody butterfly to pop against the background, so I used the Stylish Shapes Dies and die-cut out in Starry Sky Cardstock. The silver threads can be removed from the Silver-Threaded Twine just unravel by hand to make thinner strands.

To finish off the card I removed the silver thread from the Simply Elegant Trim, placed it under the butterfly and added a few of the Starry Sky In Color Matte Decorative Dots.
