Colour Creations Blog Hop - Peach Pie - Country Flowers

 Hello and welcome my friends,

My name is Vicki Boucher and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. Today, I'll be sharing with you the first colour for Colour Creations blog hop and it's Week 1 with the Art With Heart Team in Australia. It's been a while since my last Colour Creation and I'm so excited to be back here again.

The first colour is Peach Pie which is part of the In Color Collection for 2024 - 2026 Stampin' Up! sure know how to create some beautiful new colors for us to play with and they are here with us for the next two years. Now that's exciting!

All of the new In Colors come in a range of Stampin' Up! products such as ink, cardstock, ribbon, designer series paper, embellishments, Stampin' Blends and so on.

New colours means new Stampin' Up! products to try out from the new Stampin' Up! 2024 -2025 Annual Catalogue and I'll be showing you the Country Flowers bundle (163411) which is part of the Country Woods Suite Collection and you can find it on pages 48 to 51 in the catalogue.

Country Flowers bundle (163411)

The Country Flowers bundle includes the Country Flowers stamp set and Country Flowers dies. I've been using this bundle now for a couple of my projects and I love it! The stamp images of bunches of flowers, cute flowerpots and a variety of different sentiments for your card making and paper craft.

I stamped the images using Basic Gray ink onto Basic White cardstock and coloured in the images using Stampin' Blends in Peach Pie, Smoky Slate and Lost Lagoon. I like to leave white space to create depth when colouring in the images. I also added detailed die-cut images to the background of the coloured in flowers and a couple of fallen leaves to add interest.

I wanted to add Peach Pie Glimmer Paper which is from the 2024-26 In Color Glimmer 12" x 12" Specialty Paper (163771) to my card, so I used the scissors die image from the Crafting With You Dies (161225) for some detailed bling! I thought this was lots of fun to my card.

To create the sentiment, I actually combined two words together from two different sentiments and stamped them in Basic Gray ink onto Peach Pie paper from the Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper (163372). I also used this same Peach Pie paper and layered it under the embossed Basic White cardstock.

Then I die-cut out using one of the smaller circular dies from the Spotlight on Nature Dies (163580).

To finish off the card I created a cute bow using Peach Pie Bordered Ribbon (163783) by pulling away fine strands from the ribbon and tying it into a delicate bow.

  2. Your colouring, use of DSP, and ribbon treatment - all so pretty! Gorgeous card, Vicki. I, too, have been having a lot of fun playing with this bundle (that I almost didn't buy - the horror!). You've inspired me.

  3. Oh my goodness Vicki, this adorable garden/florist scene is absolutely delightful. My favourite element is the glittery Crafting With You Dies scissors! So lovely to have you joining us on the hop again.

Vicki, there's so much to love about your card. The colouring is divine and I love the addition of the glimmer scissors as if someone was using them to cut flowers. The falling leaves is another great idea. Hope to see more of your beautiful creations in future hops.

  8. I love the little scissors peaking out and the strands of ribbon. Esp. since I struggle using ribbon this is a great tip.

  9. Beautiful soft colouring of your images, Vicki. I love the addition of the glimmer scissors, having just cut a few flowers from the pot. A great tip to pull the threads from the ribbon like that, love it!
