Hello and welcome my friends,
My name is Vicki Boucher and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. Today, I'll be sharing with you another colour for Colour Creations blog hop and we are now at week 10 with the Art With Heart Team in Australia.
The next colour is Berry Burst which is part of the Brights range, it's been a while since I've used this colour and that's why I like doing these Colour Creations blog hops it makes me use a variety of Stampin' Up! colours. Berry Burst comes in Cardstock, Classic Ink Pad, Ink Refill, Embellishments, Designer Series Paper and other Stampin' Up! products.
Today's card is a fun fold card using the Textured Floral Stamp Set and Textured Floral Dies. I haven't created a fun fold for some time and this one would be my go to as it's very easy to make and fits in the standard size envelope.
The fun fold can open and close and fits inside a normal size envelope. Dimensions for cutting and scoring are listed below. I created my own DSP with the Textured Floral Stamp Set and Basic White Cardstock.
Measurements:
Card Base - Cut at 21cm x 14.9cm
Score and fold at 5.5cm, 8.5cm, 12.5 and 15.5cm
Basic White - Cut two at 14.4cm x 5cm each
Cut middle piece at 14.4cm x 3.5cm
Stamp images onto Basic White panel in the above mentioned colours. I always start with the larger image and work my way down to the smallest.
For the middle piece I used either Stampin' Blends or Stampin' Write Markers to create fine polka dots.
Main front panel
Spotlight on Nature Dies - Use 9.8cm cm in Basic White
To create the larger flowers, I stamped them in Pretty in Pink ink and then added Berry Burst ink with the Sponge Dauber. Next, using the Stampin' Spritzer I spritz water onto the stamp and then stamp onto Basic White Cardstock. I also did this with some of the smaller Peach Pie flowers, but this time I stamped off onto scratch paper and then added Peach Pie ink with the Dauber. For the leaves I used Pool Party and Summer Splash which is a pretty colour combination. Then I die-cut out the flowers and leaves. I also added other detailed elements from the Textured Floral Dies to the Basic White circle.
To finish off the card I used the sentiment from the Simply Said Stamp Set and stamped it in Berry Burst. I added a few of the Burry Burst Shimmer Gems which is from the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems.
To go with the card, I stamped some of the images on the back of the envelope, so they go together and it's a nice touch when someone special will receive this card in the mail.
