Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI170

Hello and welcome,

My name is Vicki Boucher, and I am from Melbourne, Australia. Tonight, is the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI170 this photo was chosen by Colour INKspiration Crew Member, Rose.

The chosen colour combination for #CI170 is use your 3 favourite Stampin' Up! colours. As well as the chosen colours you may also like to add Basic White, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Basic Beige, Crumb Cake and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory', 'Bronze' and 'Natural Tones' in the Stampin' Blends.

The challenge will run for almost 3 weeks until 7pm (AEST) on Monday 12th August 2024 details to follow at the end of my blog.

The challenge colours I've used are Pecan Pie, Old Olive and Wild Wheat for my colour combo and I also added Basic White, Basic Black and Crumb Cake. I love these colours together and I hardly use Wild Wheat in my cards.

The card I made was a CASE of Cindy Schuster's sneak peek card from The Crafty Carrot Collective they are featuring the Friends for Life Bundle and I just love her card.

I also used the Friends for Life bundle for my card, stamping the leaf stamp in Black Tuxedo ink three times onto Basic White cardstock and using Old Olive Stampin' Blends to colour in the leaves. I like to leave some white space at the tip of the leaves.

The Friends for Life Dies are so good especially the "friend" Die in Basic Black and layered over Basic White makes it pop! The detailed leaf die is die-cut out in Old Olive Cardstock. For some texture and adding another layer by using the label die, die-cut out in Pecan Pie Cardstock and then dry embossed using Timber 3D Embossing Folder.

Using the larger circle die from the Spotlight on Nature Dies, I added a half circle in Basic White Cardstock and layered it under the Crumb Cake coloured bucket. I used two different sheets of paper from Country Woods Designer Series Paper and used them as the base layers for the card.

To finish off the card I added Wild Wheat Jute Trim and tied it into a bow. I think all three colours balance nicely together and they go well with the basic colours. What three colours will you chose? Make sure you see everyone's gorgeous colours combinations over on our Colour INKspiration Facebook page.

I hope I've inspired you with the latest challenge and I do hope you'll join in. We so look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is new and made specifically for this challenge.
