Stampin' Up! Saleabration Botanical Butterfly DSP

Hello and welcome,

I wanted to share a card that I Cased and was inspired by the lovely Artisan Jackie Aitken.  She created a beautiful card using the Saleabration Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper. This paper is just gorgeous and I wanted to give a butterfly some colour.

I used my Stampin' Blends in Highland Heather light and dark to blend in together. I fussy cut out the butterfly with my snips. 

On the Whisper White Cardstock I used my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker brush tip and splattered ink on the Cardstock. To do this you just flick the brush tip against the inside of the lid.

The "Thank You" is from the Needle & Thread Stamp Set which is from the Occasions Catalogue. I heat embossed it using White Embossing Powder on Basic Black Cardstock. To finish off the card I used Black Solid Baker's Twine and Black Sequins.

Stampin' Up! Scrapbook Page Sunshine Wishes

Hello and welcome

Over on our Art With Heart Team Facebook page I was inspired by Sharen Sutherland's scrapbook page. She used the beautiful Botanical Butterfly DSP this paper has black and white designs on one side and coloured designs on the other. The DSP is a free item with any $90 purchase from Stampin' Up! The Sale-A-Bration Catalogue is available until the end of  March 2019. I love this paper and the layout Sharen used for her scrapbook page, so this is my scrapbook page that I created.

The photo is of my two gorgeous girls taken awhile ago when they had Cross Country at school. Their house colour is gold/yellow and it makes a bright and happy photo. The colours I used are Mango Melody and Daffodil Delight which pops out from the black and white.

The butterflies have been coloured in with Stampin' Blends they are so nice to colour with and they blend so well together. I then fussy cut the three coloured butterflies out and punched the four black and white ones with the Butterfly Punch. I used a sticky note to hold the butterfly in place.

I used the Sunshine Sayings Stamp Set and coordinating Sunshine Wishes Dies which you can mix and match the sayings. I embossed the sentiments with White Embossing Powder and Versamark Ink on Black Cardstock.

On the white Cardstock I splattered using the Stampin' Write Marker in Daffodil Delight which is fun to do. I just use the tip of the marker against the inside of the lid.

The Daisy Punch has been used for the two flowers and 1/2" circle punch for the centre of the flower. I also used the Stampin' Blends for the petals. To finish off the page I used the Sequin Assortment in Iridescent the colour is So Saffron. The black and white Washi Tape is Pick A Pattern.
