Hello and welcome back to my blog
with the lovely ladies from Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop.
Today is week 47 and we are playing
along with So Saffron which is one of the Subtles Collection Colours.
So Saffron is a lighter colour for
the yellow family. I decided to use the Beauty Abounds bundle for a dear friend
of mine who’s birthday is coming up soon.
The So Saffron Cardstock was used
for two of the butterflies and the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch. I love this
punch and you can do so much with it, so once punched out I decided to attach it to a strip of
Shimmery White Cardstock. The stripe effect was created by using So Saffron ink and an
Aqua Painter, so simple and effective.
I used Whisper White Thick Cardstock
for the card base. I find this is best as it’s stronger than normal White
Cardstock. I also used White Cardstock for one of the butterflies. I lightly sponged
over the butterfly with a Dauber and So Saffron ink to give it a delicate soft look.
The Beauty Abounds Cling Stamp Set
was used for the background of the card. I just stamped off before stamping on
the card with So Saffron Classic Stampin’ Pad.
The Happy Birthday! is from the Amazing Life Stamp Set
which is retiring soon. I heat embossed it using White Embossing Powder on So
Saffron Cardstock.
To finish off the card I used the
Whisper White Flax Ribbon and Iridescent Sequin in So Saffron.
