Colour Creations Blog Hop - Week 19 Gorgeous Grape

 Hello and welcome

Tonight I'll be sharing with you Week 19 of Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team in Australia.

Each week there will be a Colour Creations blog hop showcasing Stampin' Up! Colors with a selection of members from the Art With Heart Team who will be joining in. I'm looking forward to seeing their beautiful projects using the Stampin' Up! Colors. You'll be able to hop around by clicking on the next link at the end of my blog.

The colour for tonight is Gorgeous Grape which is part of the Brights Collection and comes in a number of different mediums such as Ink, Cardstock, DSP etc....I've used Gorgeous Grape with Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather and White for my hand made birthday card.

I've created a fun background technique which involves using the Stampin' Blends, Vellum Cardstock, pure alcohol, paint brush and ear syringe. Starting with the Stampin' Blends I applied the brush tip to the Vellum and then I added a little of the pure alcohol with the paint brush. The next step you have to act quickly before the alcohol dries, use the ear syringe and puff air over the alcohol to move it around. With this technique you always get a different outcome.

Gorgeous Grape comes in the Ombre Specialty Paper and it sparkles too! So it was perfect for the butterfly die-cut image from the Brilliant Wings Dies. As the butterfly is delicate I like to use the Adhesive Sheets instead of Multipurpose Liquid Glue which is usually my go to for adhesive.

The layer under the Vellum is Basic White Cardstock, I've applied Liquid Glue with a Sponge Dauber and lightly added the glue.

I've used a panel of Fresh Freesia Shimmer Vellum Specialty Paper under Basic White Cardstock and then adhered to the card base of Gorgeous Grape. To finish off the card I've used the sentiment from Art Gallery Stamp Set in Gorgeous Grape Ink onto Basic White Cardstock with an added thin strip of Fresh Freesia Vellum Specialty Paper.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, I would so love hear your thoughts on my project by leaving a comment below.

Now it's time to hop along and visit the lovely Rachel Palmieri to see her project please click on the link below

Art With Heart Showcase - Mother's Day

 Hello and welcome,

I'm so excited to share with you three projects I have created for the latest Art With Heart Team Creative Showcase hosted by Rachel Woollard, I'll post the link to her page at the end of my blog.

We are sharing our creativity with the theme Mother's Day in our projects. Mother's Day is celebrated the second Sunday of May in Australia. It's a very special time of year for me by showing my appreciation to my mum with spending the day together, plus of course presenting a card and other nice things to her.

I've created a Mother's Day card, bookmark and gift tag using the Pierced Blooms Dies with the True Love Designer Series Paper. The colours are bright and happy plus the additional black and white throughout.

To create the coloured flowers I've used Basic White Cardstock, adding colour to the Cardstock with the Blending Brushes in the following Stampin' Up! Colors. Magenta Madness, So Saffron, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apple Green. Then using a number of different flowers and leaves from the Pierced Blooms Dies and die cut out using the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.

Before layering all of the die cut pieces I started on the base of the card with a half sheet of Basic Black Cardstock folded in half and then a panel of Basic White Cardstock. I've sponged Granny Apple Green Ink with the Blending Brush in a circular motion to add some colour to the white panel.

I thought I would do something a little bit different with the black & white polka dot DSP by cutting the piece on an angel with the Paper Trimmer. It's almost a triangle the top side measures at 10.5cm and the bottom is at 9cm. I made sure all the dots lined up straight when cutting the DSP.

Now the fun part with mixing and matching the different die cut pieces together to make the card, plus I had left over so I decided to make a book mark and gift tag.

The sentiment is from the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set and fits perfectly inside the frame which is from the Pierced Blooms Dies. I've embossed the greeting using White Embossing Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. I've added a few of the In Color Enamel Dots in Magenta Madness and Bumblebee.

The book mark and gift tag is similar to the card so I can give as a set. I've used the Delightful Tag Topper and added the Black & White Baker's Twine.

Well that's it for my blog, now it's time to visit Rachel Woollard and all the other participants from the Art With Heart Team. I'm so looking forward to seeing their beautiful projects.

Thank you for visiting my blog today. You can purchase any of the above mentioned products by visiting my online store here or send me a direct message.

Hello and welcome,

It's a must read, in my books! Need a catalogue? I'll have my link at the end for you to contact me and I would be happy to send one out to you.

I've used the Wonder of the Season Suite which is on page 30 - 33 of the Mini Catalogue, I so adore the traditional Christmas Colours of Red, Green and Gold. The new products I've used are

  • Wishes & Wonder Bundle 155151
  • Cherish the Season Bundle 155154

  • Brushed Metallic 12" x 12" Cardstock 153524
  • Poppy Parade Satin Ribbon - All the Trimmings Ribbon Combo Pack 153541

The card base is Real Red Cardstock with a panel of Real Red and a panel of Tis the Season Shaded Spruce DSP. I've added the Poppy Parade Ribbon to the two panels and then my layering begins with lots of different elements.

The Whisper White gift tag has been embossed in white Stampin' Emboss Powder using the greeting from the Wishes & Wonder Stamp Set it's hard to see but I wanted something subtle with white on white.

I've used the Gold Hoop Embellishment to incorporate all of the elements together, the Red & Green Foil for the deer, baubles and tree and the Gold Brushed Metallic for the foliage.

The sentiment is from Cherish the Season Stamp Set and stamped in Real Red Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and fussy cut out.

Week 7 Art With Heart Colour Creations Weekly Showcase Cajun Craze

Hello and welcome to Week 7 with the Art With Heart Colour Creations weekly Showcase. Which the lovely Catherine Proctor is running our weekly blog and with a selection of other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from the Art With Heart Team.

This week we are featuring Cajun Craze, which is a colour I don't normally use, but I wanted to challenge myself by using this colour. I hope we will inspire you with our projects using Cajun Craze.

Cajun Craze is from the Regals Colour Collection and comes in a range of Stampin' Up! products such as the Classic Stampin' Pad, Cardstock, Stampin' Blends, DSP and more.

The two masculine projects that I have made is a card and gift tag, using the colours Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Cinnamon Cider. I think these colours go well together.

I started with the card first by creating the feathers using Watercolor Paper, Water Painters applying a mix of ink using Cajun Craze and Cinnamon Cider. Once the ink was dry, I then stamped the feather stamp from the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set, stamped it in Cinnamon Cider and fussy cut the images out.

The tree stump stamp is from the Rooted In Nature Stamp Set, stamped in Early Espresso onto Early Espresso Cardstock and fussy cut the image out. I've sponged some Cajun Craze Ink onto the pressed wood leaf element which gives a different look and colour to the leaf.

Using a panel of Crumb Cake Cardstock, I've embossed it with the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder, using Crumb Cake Ink I've sponged ink onto the wood panel with the Stamping Sponges. By doing this it gives you a more defined look on your Cardstock and you can see the wooded texture.

I wanted the tree stump, feathers and wood element to be layered onto a strip of Cajun Craze Cardstock. Before adding all of the elements, I've randomly stamped the feather stamp in Cajun Craze Ink onto Cajun Craze Cardstock. I've wrapped the Linen Thread around the panel to give it some added texture and then I added all of the different elements.

The final addition is the sentiment, I've used the greeting from the Rooted In Nature Stamp Set, stamped it in Early Espresso Ink onto Crumb Cake Cardstock, die cut the image out using the stitched Tasteful Labels Dies. The card base is half a sheet of the Cajun Craze Cardstock.

For the gift tag, I've used Cajun Craze Cardstock for the base, punched it using the Scalloped Tag Topper and layered a piece of the embossed Pinewood Planks in Crumb Cake Cardstock. The feather is stamped in Cajun Craze Ink onto Cajun Craze Cardstock and fussy cut out. I've added a little of Cinnamon Cider Ink onto the pressed wood leaf element and the greeting is stamped in Cinnamon Cider onto Crumb Cake Cardstock. Then die cut out using the Tasteful Labels Dies.

Week 6 Art With Heart Colour Creations Weekly Showcase Bumble Bee

Hello to all the lovely stampers out there! Welcome to Week 6 with the Art With Heart Colour Creations weekly Showcase. Which the lovely Catherine Proctor is running our weekly blog and with a selection of other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from the Art With Heart Team.

This week we are featuring Bumblebee and I hope we will inspire you with our creations of this bright happy colour.

Bumblebee is one of the new In Colors for 2020-2022 and is from the In Color Collection. Bumblebee comes in a range of Stampin' Up! products such as the Classic Stampin' Pad, Cardstock, DSP and more.

The inspiration for my card was the striped DSP from the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper, I just love the brightness & happiness of this paper! The colours in the DSP are Bumblebee, Magenta Madness and Poppy Parade. I've also used these bold colours, but a softer tone for my Watercolor Sunflower and leaves. The good thing with the Watercolor paper is you can add lots of water and ink to the paper. Using Whisper White Cardstock for the sunflower & leaves dies and Gold Foil for the smaller leaf sprigs dies.

The long scolloped die from the Peony Dies, is stunning in Gold Foil and I've placed the strip alongside the DSP. The layer underneath is a wash of Bumblebee Ink, using the wide bristle brush from the Water Painters and I've inked up the Shimmery White Cardstock. It's amazing how light Bumblebee ink can be.

Before adding the Sunflower and leaves, I've placed a strip of Magenta Madness Ribbon under the strip of Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon, they go so nicely together and adding a Gold Trim Bow was a must!

To finish, I added three of the Bumblebee 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots. They are so cute!

Please visit Catherine's Blog to see her creation and all the links are there as well, so you’ll be able to see everyone’s creations for this week’s showcase.

Week 5 Art With Heart Colour Creations Weekly Showcase Blushing Bride

Hello to all the lovely stampers out there! Welcome to Week 5 with the Art With Heart Colour Creations weekly Showcase which the lovely Catherine Proctor is running our weekly blog and with a selection of other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from the Art With Heart Team. This week we are featuring Blushing Bride and I hope we will inspire you with our creations of this beautiful colour.

Blushing Bride is from the Subtles Collection and comes in a range of Stampin' Up! products from the Classic Stampin' Pad, Cardstock, DSP and more.

I do love pink, so mixing Blushing Bride with Rococo Rose and Gray Granite was an easy choice for me as I love this combination of colours together. I've used a new stamp set from my latest Stampin' Up! order it's called Fancy Phrases, I love the different greetings and the hand drawn stamp images in the set. The shading of the images makes colouring in easy.

I've stamped the image in Gray Granite, using a Blender Pen, coloured Ink and a Clear Block as shown below. I can then add ink to paper by adding a little ink as I go until I'm happy with the shading. The stamped images have been fussy cut out.

Using a panel of Blushing Bride Cardstock, I've stamped the smaller flower image randomly in Blushing Bride ink onto the Cardstock and embossed the panel with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. This Embossing Folder gives an antique look to the card and I like to ruff up the edges with the Paper Snips.

The new Meadow Moments Embossing Folder is a smaller size, I've used a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and ran it through the Die Cutting Machine. Using a Sponge Dauber and Blushing Bride Ink, I've softly added ink to the raised up edges.

A few more added layers to the card is a strip of Blushing Bride Subtles 6"x 6" DSP and the Flowers for every season Ribbon in Whisper White. I like to fray the edges of the ribbon for a little something different.

Adhere the layers onto the Brushing Bride card base with your preferred adhesive and for the sentiment I've added Stampin' Dimensionals. To finish off the card, I've added 3 of the Pearl Basic Jewels.

Please visit Catherine's Blog to see her creation and all the links are there as well, so you’ll be able to see everyone’s creations for this week’s showcase.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, I hope you’ve enjoyed how I’ve used Blushing Bride. Make sure you come back next week to see the colour Bumble Bee in our projects.

Week 4 Art With Heart Colour Creations Weekly Showcase Blackberry Bliss

Hello to all the lovely stampers out there! Welcome to Week 4 with the Art With Heart Colour Creations weekly Showcase which the lovely Catherine Proctor will be running a weekly blog and with other members from the Art With Heart Team. This week we are featuring Blackberry Bliss and I hope we will inspire you with our variations of this gorgeous colour.

Blackberry Bliss is from the Regals Collection and comes in a range of Stampin' Up! products from the Classic Stampin' Pad, Cardstock, Stampin' Blends, DSP and more. Even Rainbow Glimmer Paper which I might have to purchase on my next order.

I really struggled with this colour, because I only realised that I hardly had any Cardstock left in this colour. I had only scraps and this card front, but I was determined to create something. Blackberry Bliss is a gorgeous rich colour and I wanted to combined it with other bright colours for my sunflower.

The Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle is just right for these bright bold colours, I've stamped the image in Stazon Jet Black Ink onto Watercolor Paper and watercoloured the image with the Water Painters. Blending the following colours together are starting with Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, Poppy Parade and a new In Color Bumble Bee. I continued to add colour until I was happy with the application. The leaves from the stamp set are also in the same colours.

The images from the Sunflower Dies, die cut out the stamped images, but they also have a few extra dies which can add another dimension to your sunflowers and leaves. This can give you a completely different look to your creations. I really love the black paper against the bright colours and it almost looks like Etch Art.

The white square panel under the Sunflower is a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and with a Sponge Dauber I've applied Blackberry Bliss Ink onto the Cardstock. I like to start in the center and work my way out in a circle motion.

I've randomly stamped the leaf image a number of times using Blackberry Bliss Ink onto the panel of Blackberry Bliss Cardstock and then I ran the panel through the die cutting machine with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. The panel is layered over Thick Whisper White card base.

The sentiment is heat embossed, using Versmark Ink, White Stampin' Emboss Powder onto Basic Black Cardstock and fussy cut around the sentiment. I've added a Gold metallic bow to finish off the card.

Please visit Catherine's Blog to see her creation and all the links are there as well, so you’ll be able to see everyone’s creations for this week’s showcase.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, I hope you’ve enjoyed how I’ve used  Blackberry Bliss. Make sure you come back next week to see Bushing Bride in our projects.
