Hello and welcome,
It's the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #101 and this stunning photo was chosen by Monica Formosa one of the Design Crew Members. This colour combo is so beautiful and we have some of the new In Colors in this latest colour challenge!
The colour combination for #101 are Pale Papaya, Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Balmy Blue and Evening Evergreen. As well as the chosen colours you may also add Basic White, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory' and 'Bronze' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Shaded Spruce instead of Evening Evergreen.... you get the drift).
The challenge will run for almost 2 weeks until 7pm on the 21st June 2021 details to follow at the end of my blog.
Today's card I've decided to use the Pretty Perennials Bundle which will be retiring as of the end of the month of June 2021. It's such a beautiful bundle and I will be sad to see it go. I've actually CASED my own card back in January 2021 for a blog hop with Creation Station where I created a Fun Fold card and used bright colours. I'll pop the link to my card at the end of this blog.
The challenge colors really suit this bundle, I've combined it with the You're a Peach Designer Series Paper the rest is stamping, die cutting and using the Blending Brushes.
The fun fold can open and close and fits inside a normal size envelope. Dimensions for cutting and scoring are listed below. I created my own DSP with one of the panels using the Pretty Perennials Stamp Set and Basic White Cardstock.
Measurements:
Balmy Blue Card Base
- Cut at 21cm x 14.9cm
- Score and fold at 5.5cm, 8.5cm, 12.5 and 15.5cm
Basic White Cardstock and You're a Peach DSP
- Cut two DSP at 14.4cm x 5cm each
- Cut one middle piece Basic White at 14.4cm x 3.5cm
Stamp images onto Basic White panel in (stamp off first) Balmy Blue, Pale Papaya and Highland Heather. I always start with the larger image and work my way down to the smallest.
Main front panel
Stitched Rectangle Die - Use 10.4 x 6.9cm in Basic White
Balmy Blue Cardstock - Cut 10.5 x 7.2cm
To create flowers I've stamped the images in Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather and Pale Papaya. I've used the Blending Brushes with Fresh Freesia and Pale Papaya ink onto strips of Basic White Cardstock then die cut out the images. The leaves are the same but this time using Evening Evergreen Ink. The sentiment is from Biggest Wish Stamp Set stamped in Fresh Freesia and Balmy Blue then fussy cut out. To finish off the card I've added Genial Gems to the flowers.
I hope you can participate in this latest round and as we so look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is new and made specially for this challenge.
