Just Add Ink #498 ....... Just Add E

Hello and welcome,

It’s the latest Just Add Ink ‘Just Add E’ Challenge #498 and I recently created these three Easter cards for a friend of mine. She wanted two in pink and one in blue. I just couldn’t wait to start making the cards.

The three cards are the same layout, but using different colours, Dies and DSP.

The blue bunny card I’ve used Seaside Spray Ink and Cardstock. Sponging ink onto the Cardstock and I’ve water coloured the bunny. The DSP is from the Woven Threads DSP and die cut out using the Stitched Rectangles Dies.

The pink bunny with the Rococo Rose gingham card is using Rococo Rose Ink and Cardstock.

Using the same technique as with the previous card and use the In color 6”x 6” 2019 – 2021 in Rococo Rose and the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. The roses are from the Dressed To Impress Stamp Set and light sponged with the Sponged Dauber.

The second pink bunny card, I’ve used Blushing Bride Cardstock and Rococo Rose Ink for the sponging. The DSP is from the Best Dressed 6”x6” DSP and die cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

I’m so glad I got to create these cards and I hope you enjoy seeing them too.

Stampin' Up! Colour InkSpiration Colour Challenge #52

Hello and welcome,

Today I will be sharing with you a card that I created for a colour challenge from the Facebook page Colour InkSpiration Challenge #CI52. Anyone is welcome to join in and it’s due by 7pm 8th April.

The colours we have to use are Early Espresso, Whisper White, Granny Apple Green and Soft Sea Foam. This is my card for the challenge.

This is the photo they have chosen for the challenge. Don’t you just love this slice? It’s looks so delicious and here is the link for the recipe Chocolate Mint Slice – vegan, gluten & dairy free
I might just have to make this one.

I decided to use the bunny stamp from the Fable Friends stamp set and make an Easter Card. I used the Rectangle Stitched Framelits in Shimmery White and Granny Apple Green Cardstock.

I water coloured the bunny using my Aqua Painter and using Early Espresso and Soft Sea Foam.

I wanted to make my own DSP so I stamped the greeting from the set a number of times using Early Espresso. To finish off the card I used the daisy punch from the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack and a Stampin’ Blend in Granny Apple Green for the centre of the daisy. The foliage is from Needlepoint Elements Framelits and the greeting stamped in Early Espresso on one of the Stitched Labels Framelits.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my Easter card and maybe you might like to join in the challenge too.

Stampin' Up! Art With Heart ~ Easter ~ Blog Hop

Tonight the Art with Heart team are sharing creative projects with an Easter theme.

Don’t forget, sale-a-bration ends on March 31st! There is still time to earn free product with purchase or even join our Stampin’ Up! team. Ask any of the girls on the hop for more details.

When I was looking through my Occasions Catalogue. I just knew I had to purchase the Fable Friends Stamp Set and add this one to my collection. The rabbit in the set is so cute and I just couldn't wait to ink him/her up. I used Shimmery White Cardstock, Stazon Ink and water coloured the rabbit with my Aqua Painter in Smoky Slate, Petal Pink and Flirty Flamingo.

I wanted to do something a little bit different for an Easter Card, so I decided to use Smoky Slate Cardstock as the card base and the background. The Whisper White and Petal Pink pops out against the Smoky Slate. I just love the Whisper White Flax Ribbon it has an open weave soft look about it.

I had a look at my Stampin' Punches and Framelits Dies and I came across the following: Sprig Punch, Bitty Blooms Punch (Daisy Flower), Needle Point Elements Framelits Dies and Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies. They all formed the layout for the rabbit to sit amongst the flowers and foliage.

To finish off the card I used the White Embossing Powder for the greeting. Which it just happened to fit nicely in the Stitched Labels Framelits perfectly.  I also used Dazzling Diamonds on the white cardstock but it was hard to pick up when taking a photo. White Pearls added to the daisy punch flowers and on the Smoky Slate Cardstock.

I hope you've enjoyed seeing my card. Now it's time to hop over and to see everyone else's creation. I hope I've inspired you to create an Easter theme card.

Stampin' Up! Colour Creations ~ Week 40 ~ Pumpkin Pie ~ Art With Heart

Hello and welcome to my blog with the lovely ladies from Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop.

Today is week 41 and we are playing along with Pumpkin Pie which is one of the Regals Collection Colours.

When I think of Pumpkin Pie I see the colours of Autumn. Which is the season we are in now for Australia and it's such a beautiful time of year. In saying that I decided to use the cute squirrel stamp from Fable Friends which is in the Occasions Catalogue 2019.

The squirrel has been stamped with Stazon Jet Black Ink on Shimmery White Cardstock. I used an Aqua Painter and coloured in the squirrel with Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Blueberry Bushell and Granny Apple Green.

For the background I used Shimmery White Cardstock and sponged some Pumpkin Pie Ink onto the Cardstock. Once I was happy with the effect I spritzed water using the Stampin' Spritzer and let it dry. Once dried I splattered black ink using the Stampin' Write Marker in Basic Black. To do this effect you use the brush end of your marker with the inside of the lid and flick the Ink onto your Cardstock. I love to create with this look.

To finish off the card I used for the card base Very Vanilla Cardstock and then a piece of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock. I used Basic Black Cardstock and die cut out using the 2nd largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. To tie in with the card I used Basic Black Solid Baker's Twine.

Thank you for visiting my blog and now it's time to visit Catherine Proctor's blog  and the other Art With Heart Team's creations.
