Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI144

 Hello and welcome,

My name is Vicki Boucher, and I am from Melbourne, Australia. Tonight, is the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI144 this photo was chosen by Monica Formosa.

The chosen colour combination for #CI144 is Bubble Bath, Crushed Curry, Lemon Lolly, Parakeet Party and Azure Afternoon. As well as the chosen colours you may also like to add Basic White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Crumb Cake and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory', 'Bronze' and 'Natural Tones' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Tahitian Tide instead of Azure Afternoon .... you get the drift).

The challenge will run for almost 3 weeks until 7pm (AEST) on Monday 12th June 2023 details to follow at the end of my blog.

These colours were a challenge for me! I really like them all. The photo of the ice cream makes me want to have one! I created a fun birthday card with a watercolour background using watercolour paper and Bright & Beautiful 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper (161449).

Other Stampin' Up! products used are Beautiful Balloons bundle (161457), Give it a Whirl Dies (154336), Dots & Spots Dies (159164) and Something Fancy Stamp Set (160416).

I just love the fun paper garland die from the Beautiful Balloons Dies the bottom layer is Bubble Bath Cardstock and the top layer is the Bright & Beautiful DSP using the cute Lemon Lolly stars paper. I added Lemon Lolly Sheer Ribbon under watercolour die-cut pieces from the Beautiful Balloons Dies and Give it a Whirl Dies.

Other elements I have used are the Dots & Spots Die as I had left over pieces from other projects I added white dots to the balloon, Azure Afternoon dots to the background and Bubble Bath Cardstock for the background.

The sentiment is stamped in Azure Afternoon using Something Fancy Stamp Set and die-cut out using the label die from Give it a Whirl Dies.

I hope I've inspired you with the latest challenge and I do hope you'll join in. We so look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is new and made specifically for this challenge.

Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI127

 Hello and welcome,

My name is Vicki Boucher and I am from Melbourne, Australia. Tonight, it's the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI127 and this photo was chosen by Bronwyn Eastley. Gorgeous combination of colours and it certainly feels like spring from the photo.

The colour combination for #CI127 is Daffodil Delight, Orchid Oasis and Pear Pizzazz. As well as the chosen colours you may also add Basic White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory' and 'Bronze' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Granny Apple Green instead of Pear Pizzazz .... you get the drift).

The challenge will run for almost 2 weeks until 7pm (AEST) on Monday 22nd August 2022 details to follow at the end of my blog.

Today's card is using the Blessings of Home bundle (157939) which includes Blessings of Home Stamp Set and Flowers of Home Dies and I also used Honeybee Home bundle (157952) for the bee image. All of the products I've used in today's project can be found in the Annual Stampin' Up 2022 - 2023 Catalogue.

I would have to say that Orchid Oasis would have to be one of my favourite of the new In Colors and I wanted to use it as the main focal point. I just love the richness of the colour so I embossed it using the Hive 3D Embossing Folder and added Orchid Oasis ink with the Blending Brush.

I used Shimmery White Cardstock Stazon Ink for the flower and bee. I used the fine tip brush from the Water Painters to colour in the images. The water colour wash background is Daffodil Delight and I like to use the large flat brush tip for a quick block of colour.

The sentiment is from the Blessings of Home Stamp Set, I've heat embossed it using Versamark, Basic Black Cardstock, White Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. Orchid Oasis comes in a variety of Stampin' Up! products and I really like it in the Baker's Twine and Matte Decorative Dots.

I hope I've inspired you with the latest challenge and I do hope you'll join in. We so look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is new and made specifically for this challenge.

Artisan Design Team - Texture Chic Suite

Hello and welcome,

My name is Vicki Boucher and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. Today I'll be sharing three projects using the Texture Chic Suite, turning them into two cards and a gift bag.

The Artisan Design Team are featuring the Texture Chic Suite on Stampin' Up! Facebook and their new Instagram page where you'll sure to be inspired by everyone's creations, I'll add the link at the end of my blog. This suite is perfect for all four seasons Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring.

Texture Chic Suite (158819)

The Texture Chic Suite  (158819) is located on page 99 of the Stampin' Up! 2022 - 2023 Annual Catalogue. The suite includes 10% Bundle Savings Season of Chic Bundle, Photopolymer (158816), Season of Chic Stamp Set (158810), coordinates with Chic Dies (158815), Texture Chic Specialty 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (158808) and Distressed Gold 12" x 12" Specialty Paper.

Thinking of You Winter Card

To create a wintery card I've used the emboss resist technique stamping the snowflake images in Versamark onto a panel of Basic White Cardstock, white Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. The colours I've used are Pool Party and Sahara Sand ink lightly adding the ink with the Blending Brush.

I've added lots of layers to add interest to the card, starting with the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper and the crosshatch pattern die which is perfect as a background from the Chic Dies. The next three layers I've used the Tailor Made Tags Dies using three different sizes the bottom layer is the Texture Chic Specialty Designer Series Paper, Shimmery White Cardstock inking up the stamp with Pool Party Ink, spritz water onto the stamp and then stamp onto the paper.

The sentiment is heat embossed using Versamark ink onto Pool Party Cardstock, white Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. To finish off the card I've used Pool Party Sheer Ribbon with a Linen Thread tied into a bow and a few of the Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels.

Thanks Autumn Peekaboo Treat Bag

This cute treat bag was fun to make and I especially like the addition of Blushing Bride with the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper. I've used the Kraft food safe Peekaboo Treat Bag stamp the leaf image in Soft Suede ink and adding more Soft Suede ink to the bag with the Blending Brush.

I've used the Tailor Made Tags for the gift tag the bottom layer is the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper then as above Shimmery White Cardstock, ink up the stamp in Soft Suede ink, spritz water onto the stamp and stamp the image onto the Cardstock. The top layer is Blushing Bride Cardstock adding the brushstroke stamp in Blushing Bride ink as a background and then heat emboss using Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder.

I added Gold Gilded Leafing to the Blushing Bride die-cut leaves which is from the Chic Dies and I love the Petal Pink Solid Faceted Gems they add just the right interest to your 3D project.

Gold and Pool Party Thanks Spring Card

To create the final card I've used Pool Party Cardstock for the card base, layered with the Texture Chic Specialty 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, I love the colours and the gold foil throughout the DSP. I even used some of the DSP for the die-cut elements from the Chic Dies.

The flowers are heat embossed stamping the images in Versamark onto either Petal Pink or Pool Party Cardstock, Gold Emboss Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. Using Stampin' Blends to colour the flowers for more depth and shading for the flowers. I used Petal Pink Stampin' Blends for the pink flowers and Pool Party Stampin' Blends for the blue flowers.

To create shape and dimension to your projects by using your Bone Folder to curve the edges of the flowers and leaves. This will make them stand out on your card.

The heat embossed gold sentiment fits nicely inside the largest of the label die from the Stylish Shapes Dies and I just love the addition of the Brushed Brass Butterflies to the card.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, I would so love hear your thoughts on my project by leaving a comment below. Make sure you pop over onto Stampin' Up! Facebook page for lots of inspiration using the Texture Chic Suite.

Global Design Project #342 Sketch Challenge

 Hello and welcome,

Today I'll be sharing with you the latest sketch challenge #342 for Global Design Project make sure you check out their designs using the sketch below.

I've created a vintage/shabby chic style birthday card using the Happiness Abounds bundle and combined it with Texture Chic Designer Series Paper and Distressed Gold Specialty Paper. I love to mix and match products from the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue 2022 - 2023.

The stamped images from the Happiness Abounds stamp set are heat set using Versmark onto Shimmery White cardstock, Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. The images are perfect for a watercolour look, I've used Petal Pink and Pool Party for the flowers and leaves. All of the images are die-cut out using the Blossoming Happiness Dies.

I've embossed the Shimmery White panel with the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder, then run Paper Snips along the edge of the Cardstock to distress it even more. I added Multi Mono Liquid Glue with a Sponge Dauber, wait for it to dry and then add Gold Gilded Leafing, brush off excess.

To create the strips I used Tear and Tape, placed a strip along the embossed panel then applied Gold Gilded Leafing. The other three strips are from the beautiful Texture Chic suite, two are from Texture Chic Specialty Designer Series Paper I love the colours and design in the paper. The other is a gold strip from the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper.

To finish off the card I've stamped the sentiment in Pool Party, fussy cut out using Paper Snips and applied three butterflies from the Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - Colour Crush

Hello and welcome,

It's Stamping 2nd Sunday latest blog hop for May, hosted by Sara Levin and for this month the design team will be showcasing the theme 'Colour Crush' in our projects. The list of participants will be at the end of this blog.

Stampin' Up! 2022 - 2024 new In Colors are amazing and so fresh! The colors are Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, Starry Sky and Orchid Oasis. They come in a range of coordinating products Cardstock, Ink, Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Blends just to name a few and they are available in my online store. Do you have a favourite? I love them all, but if I had to choose it would be Orchid Oasis.

Today's two cards are using the Happiness Abounds Bundle which is available now in the Stampin' Up! 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue. There are so many amazing new products in there and this bundle is just one of many.

Happy Birthday Card

I started with Starry Sky Cardstock for the card base, layered with a strip of Orchid Oasis 2022-2024 In Color Designer Series Paper layered with Orchid Oasis Cardstock and Basic White Cardstock die-cut using the edge die from the Blossoming Happiness Dies.

The Happiness Abounds Stamp Set features beautiful line-art floral images which is perfect for heat embossing. Stamp the images in Versamark ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock, add White Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. The flowers and leaves have coordinating dies to make it easy to die-cut out your images.

Using a Water Painter, I've watercoloured the flowers using the following In Colors - Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis and Starry Sky. The leaves are in Parakeet Party. You can arrange the flowers in many ways into an elegant card, I really love the larger images and then I'll add a few of the smaller ones to my card, then followed with the leaves.

The stamp set features all-occasion sentiments for celebration I've used the Happy Birthday greeting in Orchid Oasis and fussy cut out. To finish off the card I've added 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots and In Color 2022-2024 Baker's Twine in Orchid Oasis.

Friend Card

For my second card, I started with Tahitian Tide Cardstock then I added Basic White Cardstock panel and applied Tahitian Tide ink with the Blending Brush for a bright coloured background to make the flowers pop.

Again for the flowers I used Versamark ink and White Stampin' Emboss Powder for the stamped images and then heat set with the Heat Tool. This time I used Sweet Sorbet ink and watercoloured the flowers with the Water Painter. I was surprised with the lighter pink from Sweet Sorbet it's just so pretty. The leaves are in Parakeet Party.

I've used Tahitian Tide Baker's Twine before layering the flowers over the blue background and followed with the leaves. The sentiment is stamped in Tahitian Tide ink and fussy cut out. I added a few of the 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots in Tahitian Tide.

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - Last Chance

 Hello and welcome,

It's Stamping 2nd Sunday latest blog hop for April, hosted by Sara Levin and for this month the design team will be showcasing the theme 'Last Chance products' in our projects. The list of participants will be at the end of this blog.

It's that time of the year where we say goodbye to retiring Stampin' Up! products from the 2021 to 2022 Annual Catalogue. I will certainly miss Misty Moonlight one of the five In Colors for 2020 to 2022, it's such a pretty blue and I've used it with Basic White in my projects.

For my first card I've created a slimline card using Misty Moonlight Cardstock for the card base and followed with a slimline dry embossed panel using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. I added Misty Moonlight Ink with the Blending Brush for more depth of colour on the cardstock.

I've CASED the slimline card from Kaitlyn's stunning card, she created for Stamping Through the Catalog over on their Instagram page awhile ago they did a live and I wanted to try out the layout.

I stamped the images in Misty Moonlight Ink using the Love of Leaves Stamp Set onto Basic White Cardstock and die-cut out using the Stitched Leaves Dies. I love the leaves in different shades of blue.

I ripped one side of the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper and layered over the leaves. To finish off the card I used the sentiment from the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set and stamped it in Misty Moonlight Ink. I also added a few of the circle Clear Epoxy Essentials around the sentiment.

For my second card I've created a Mother's Day card using Misty Moonlight and Basic White. Starting with Misty Moonlight Cardstock for the card base and followed with a dry embossed panel using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. I added Misty Moonlight Ink to the embossed panel with the Blending Brush.

The flowers are from the Pierced Blooms Dies they've been die-cut out using Basic White and Misty Moonlight Cardstock. To add interest and depth to the flowers either use the Sponge Dauber for more control or the Blending Brush. I like to layer them using different shades of blues for the flowers, plus Basic White too.

I used the large die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies for the base of the flowers and adding Misty Moonlight Ink to the die-cut piece with the Blending Brush.

As Mother's Day is coming up in May for Australia, I thought this card was perfect for this occasion,so I used the sentiment from the Dressed to Impress Stamp Set and stamped in Misty Moonlight Ink. The label die is from the Pierced Blooms Dies.

To finish off the card I added the Misty Moonlight Silver Baker's Twine which is from the Flowers of Every Season Ribbon combo pack. The Balmy Blue and Night of Navy Gems add the finishing touch to the card.
