Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI110

Hello and welcome,

It's the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI110 and this photo was chosen by Colour INKspiration Crew Member, Liz Gross. It's a beautiful photo and the colours are gorgous for this latest challenge.

The colour combination for #CI110 is Pale Papaya, Cajun Craze, Basic Black and Shaded Spruce. As well as the chosen colours you may also add Basic White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory' and 'Bronze' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Evening Evergreen instead of Shaded Spruce .... you get the drift).

The challenge will run for almost 2 weeks until 7pm (AEST) on Monday 8th November 2021 details to follow at the end of my blog.

I was inspired by the photo to create something to do with nature for my card. As I don't have any mushrooms in Stampin' Up! products, I deceided to use the Sparkle of the Season Stamp Set, Seasonal Swirls Dies and Timber 3D Embossing Folder for my project. All of the products are from the Stampin' Up! July to December 2021 Mini Catalogue.

Starting with the card base in Basic Black Cardstock and a panel of  Basic Black Cardstock embossed using the Timer 3D Embossing Folder.

The Seasonal Swirl Dies have three amazing wreaths to create with I used the autumn/fall wreath die in Pale Papaya Cardstock and I added Cajun Craze Ink with a Sponge Dauber. I also used Basic Black Cardstock for another wreath and layered it under the Pale Papaya wreath.

I also die cut out a number of leaves in the different challenge colours and added ink with a Sponge Dauber to the leaves. I have used Pale Papaya Cardstock for the two pumpkins, then sponged Pale Papaya and Cajun Craze Ink to the pumpkins.

The greeting is from the Sparkle of the Season Stamp Set and is heat embossed using Versmark Ink, White Stampin Emboss Powder onto Basic Black Cardstock and heat set with the Heat Tool.

I hope you can participate in this latest round and as we so look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is new and made specially for this challenge.

Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI110 will run until 7pm (ADET) on Monday 8th November 2021.

Art With Heart October Blog Hop Featuring Embossing Folders

Hello and welcome,

Welcome to another Art With Heart Blog Hop. This month we are featuring Stampin' Up's! versatile range of Embossing Folders. There are new Embossing Folders available in every Stampin' Up! catalogue and they are an inexpensive way of adding WOW! to your projects. Currently there are 24 different Embossing Folders in the range.

Tonight we plan on showing you lots of ideas on how to use these folders.

For best results when using the Stampin' Up!'s 3D Embossing Folders; use the 3D Embossing Folder Plate; it adds a little more oomph to your die sandwich to make those 3D designs pop.

Tonight I will be sharing with you two cards that I’ve created using the Swirls and Curls Embossing Folder which is a standard Embossing Folder. This folder gives you a beautiful instant snow like feel when you create a card for Christmas.

For both cards I’ve used the same bundle Christmas Gleaming including the stamp set and punch pack. I have also used the Beautiful Boughs Dies for the branch and the smaller label die. Just by using different colours for your cards, you can get a totally different look with the two cards.

The Night of Navy card is combined with Copper Foil, Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and Celestial Copper Delicata Ink. As per above photo, I’ve used a Stampin' Sponge with the Copper Ink and lightly swirled the ink over the embossed cardstock which gave the card a different dimension and colour to it.

The Smoky Slate, Whisper White card is combined with Silver Foil, Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder, White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and Frost White Shimmer Paint.

I’ve used the same technique using a Stampin' Sponge with the Frost White Shimmer Paint which gives the card a frosted shimmer look.

Which card do you prefer? The Night of Navy with Copper or Whisper White/Smoky Slate with Sliver?

Thank you for visiting my blog today and now it’s time to see Tina Gillespie creation using an Embossing Folder.
