Art With Heart January 2020 Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop

Welcome to the first Art With Heart Blog Hop for 2020. This month we are featuring cards using the amazing products you can earn for free during our Sale-a-bration promotion.

Until the 31st of March for every $90 you spend on Stampin’ Up! products you will earn free products from our Sale-a-bration brochure

Hostess’ earn bonuses too! When you host a party with sales above $500 you receive this Little Ladybug set in addition to the usual Hostess benefits.

Sale-a-bration also has a bonus for recruits joining during this promotion. For the joining fee of $169 you can choose your starter kit of products to the value of $235 plus  Mini Paper Cutter, 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper sampler and their choice of stamp set

Today I’ll be sharing with you two cards that I’ve created using Sale-a-bration items, I’ve combined the Happy Birthday To You 5 Cling Stamp Set and Golden Honey 12 Sheet 12”x 12” Specialty Designer Series Paper. Each of these products are free when you spend $90.

The first card I’ve created is using only Black and Gold giving the card an elegant look. Using the Black & Gold foil Specialty DSP as the starting point for my card and layered on Basic Black Cardstock for my card base. I’ve then followed this through using Gold Foil with the second largest Die from the Stitched Nested Labels.

Using the cake stamp from the Happy Birthday To You Stamp Set, I’ve stamped the image in Versamark Ink, added Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. I also did this with the Happy Birthday greeting and the single flower image. The single flower is actually from the top flower that’s on the cake and I’ve fussy cut around the image.

There are coordinating Birthday Dies for this stamp set and will be available for customers as from February 4th until March 31st 2020. Demonstrators can order these items now. I’ve fussy cut around the embossed cake image, single flower and sentiment and attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The second card is the exact same layout and the same Sale-a-bration products but I’ve used different colours, DSP and Ink.

The card base is Thick Whisper White, layered with the Black and White striped DSP and Whisper White Cardstock die cut out with the Stitched Nested Labels. I’ve then sponged So Saffron Ink with the Sponge Dauber onto the die cut piece.

The stamped cake image is stamped in Black Memento Ink and I’ve only coloured in the flowers using Stampin’ Blends in Daffodil Delight & Mango Melody. This makes the flowers pop away from the cake and I only wanted one colour with the Black & White card. The single flower has also been stamped in Black Ink and coloured with the Stampin’ Blends.

The sentiment is stamped in Versamark Ink onto Basic Black Cardstock, adding White Stampin’ Emboss Powder Cardstock and heat set with the Heat Tool.

All three items have been fussy cut out and attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Colour INKspiration Birthday Bash Blog Hop #70

Hello and welcome,

It’s Colour INKspiration Birthday Bash Blog Hop #70, back on 11th January 2017 this amazing group was launched on Facebook and now we are celebrating! It’s our 3rd birthday and the theme is Birthdays.

You are invited to join in the fun too! Just choose any three colours from Stampin’ Up! plus you can also use Neutrals, Metallics to help with creating your project. You can enter as many times as you like too. Now that’s worth celebrating. The challenge will run for a month until the 10th February. I hope we can inspire you with all of our blogs, to enter I’ll place a link at the bottom of the post.

My three colours that I have choosen are Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana and Pretty Peacock. The products that I’m using are Timeless Tropical Bundle which is from the new Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalogue for 2020. If you would like a copy of the new Catalogue and live in Australia I would be happy to give you one. Contact details are at the end of this blog post.

When I saw the Tropical Bundle in the Catalogue it was perfect for my daughter who just had her birthday yesterday, so this was perfect timing to create a birthday card for her. I just love the retro tropical imagery of the Timeless Tropical Distinktive Stamp Set and no need to fussy cut out the images as there are coordinating In The Tropics Dies.

I’ve stamped the flower images in Melon Mambo and Costal Cabana. To create the blended palm trees and one of the leaves, first stamp the image in Coastal Cabana, then with a Sponge Dauber I inked up using Pretty Peacock and lightly sponged the ink onto the stamp before stamping the image onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock. The other palm tree is full strength in Pretty Peacock and the leaf is in Coastal Cabana.

The 13 Dies in the In The Tropics Dies are just gorgeous, also included is a big pineapple, cute flowers and different types of leaves. I’ve used just some of the smaller leaves in Gold Foil and just to add a little glimmer to the card. To balance out the Gold Foil, I’ve placed a Gold Foil Embossed strip under the sentiment. It’s Embossed using the new Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder. The sentiment is from the Timeless Tropical Stamp set and stamped in Pretty Peacock.

The card base is Thick Whisper White, I’ve sponged with a Sponge Dauber and Pretty Peacock Ink onto the Cardstock. The following layer which is a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, die cut out with the Stitched Rectangle Die and before layering all of the layers onto it I also sponged ink using Coastal Cabana.  I wanted to create a tropical Island and giving that floating feeling about it.

I’ve added three Pretty Peacock Woven Threads Sequins to finish the card off and now it’s complete.

Click to join Colour INKSpiration Facebook group to partake in the challenge. All you need to do is up load a photo and if you have a blog you can link it back to your personal blog. Share with your crafty friends so they can join in with the challenges too. Just remember to choose three colours and create a birthday card. Any questions please ask us Design Team Members and we will be happy to help.

Kylie's International Blog Highlights January 2020

Hello and welcome,

Today I will be sharing a card that I’ve created for Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Highlights with the theme “Thank you” and I’ve used brand new products from the new Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalogue 2020.

To vote for my card please click here or at the end of my blog.

Thank you is such a powerful word, I think everyone should receive a “Thank you” card and this card will be going to someone special.

The card is based on a card swap that I’ve participated with my fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators and I really liked the card layout by Michele Taylor (she created a card using the Dressed to Impress Bundle). I liked her layout, so I cased it but using the Painted Poppies Stamp set and Peaceful Poppies DSP. Once you have the layout for a card, I think anything is possible when it comes to creating a project.

I just love the Peaceful Poppies DSP combined with the Lily Impressions DSP (which is a Free Saleabration item) the pink in the paper just pops so well together. Lovely Lipstick is such a wow colour to use!

I’ve used Lovely Lipstick for the card base, followed by the next layer but first running it through with the Subtle Embossing Folder just to give it some texture and I added a strip of Peaceful Poppies DSP.

There are some gorgeous stamps in the Painted Poppies Stamp Set and I’ve chosen the stamp with all of the gathered Poppies. I’ve stamped the image using Jet Black Stazon Ink onto the Lily Impressions DSP and die cut out using the 4.5cm x 8cm Stitched Rectangle Die.

As I had the Jet Black Stazon Ink out and the Painted Poppies Stamp Set. I decided to stamp the single Poppy image onto a scrap of Shimmery White Cardstock and do a little water colouring with my Aqua Painter & Lovely Lipstick Ink. Once dried, I then fussy cut around the Poppy image.

The stamped embossed image is from the Love What You Do Stamp Set which is from the Stampin’ Up! 2019 - 2020 Annual Catalogue. I used a piece of Basic Black scrap, rubbed over with Embossing Buddy, stamped the image in Versamark Ink, sprinkled White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. Then I’ve fussy cut the image out.

Once I’ve layered all of the pieces of paper, water coloured Poppie and sentiment to the card. I wanted to add some Embellishments, so I’ve used the beautiful From My Heart Faceted Gems, five is a good number and it just gives you some sparkle to the card.

Thank you for visiting my blog today.

Creation Station Blog Hop "Resolution Solution"

Hello and welcome to a New Year and Decade!

This is my first post using products from the new Stampin’ Up! 2020 Mini Catalogue, which has so many amazing Stamps Sets, Dies, Ribbon, Embellishments, DSP etc… I can’t wait to show you what I’ve been creating.

Today at Creation Station blog hop we will be sharing ideas with the theme “Resolution Solution” Organization Made Stampin’ Up! Style for e.g. create covered notebooks, desktop calendars, or pocket folios, or a mini planner just some ideas on what you can do.

I’ve chosen to use the Stampin’ Up! Pressed Petals Journal which is in the Annual 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up! Catalogue for my creation. I wanted my Journal to have lots of layers, with different textures, using shades of pinks & greens with water colour and giving it a romantic feel. This would be a lovely gift for someone getting married.

I’ve used the beautiful Painted Poppies Bundle which you save 10% off when you purchase the Stamp Set and Dies together. I’ve stamped the flower and leaf images in Jet Black Stazon Ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock and lightly brushed Rococo Rose ink onto the flower images and Mossy Meadow ink for the leaves. There are coordinating Dies for the flowers and leaves so no need to fussy cut out the images.

I just love the sentiment, which is from the Forever Blossoms Stamp Set and it fits perfectly in the layered swirled Stitched Die. I’ve used Rococo Rose ink, stamped the sentiment on Shimmery White Cardstock and Die cut out.

I’ve created my own piece of romantic water coloured DSP using the same stamped images of the flowers in Rococo Rose and leaves in Mossy Meadow. Using my Aqua Painter, I’ve brushed lightly to give the Shimmery White Cardstock a washed subtle look and it’s just perfect as the background while combining everything together.

We have a new Embossing folder which is a must have for any crafter, it’s called Parisian Flourish and it’s a 3D Embossing Folder. I’ve used Old Olive Cardstock for my next layer which blends in well with Mossy Meadow ink and Peaceful Poppies DSP which is the last layer. I like the freshness of the green and white stripes, breaking away from the floral images. Before adding the layers of DSP or Cardstock, I’ve curled the edges using my Bone Folder and giving them a curled raised look.

To finish off my journal, I wanted to add some ribbon and trim using Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim and Mossy Meadow Linen Thread which is from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon combo pack. The other element is a key which is from the Bird Ballad Trinkets, I have tied it together with the Lace and Linen Thread.

The Pearls have been coloured in with the Light Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blend, this is a great tip when you don’t have an Embellishment in the right colour for your project.

All of the Stampin’ Up! products that I’ve used in this project will be following this blog post and are available at my online store.

Now it’s time to head over to Kerstin Kreuzer on the Design Team and to see her creation.

Be sure to visit everyone’s blog and see what others have created for the month of January. Make sure you come back next month for more inspiration and see our creations.
