Hello and welcome to the Paper Adventures Team blog hop and welcome to my blog! I've been asked as Guest Designer for this month and it's a colour challenge! Thank you to Narelle for inviting me along for the challenge.
I hope this post finds you well and you are enjoying the Colour Challenge. The colours are Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie they were chosen by the team.
Colour challenges is something I do a lot of when it comes to paper craft and card making. I've created a succulent watercolour look for my thank you card. Something a little bit different as succulents are using shades of blues, greens and purples.
I've used the Simply Succulents and coordinating Potted Succulents Dies for the challenge. The images are stamped in Stazon Jet Black Ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock. I like to use the fine tip brush when using the Water Painters for intricate detail.
I've used all three colours for the succulents starting off with a lighter colour and then add more ink as I go. For the pot I've started off using the large flat tip and applied Rich Razzleberry Ink lightly and then using the fine tip for more detail.
The card base is Rich Razzleberry Cardstock adding a layer of Basic White Cardstock. I've applied Basic Gray Ink with the Blending Brush to the white cardstock this gives the look of a shadow for the pot and succulents.
Thank you for visiting my blog today and thanks to the Paper Adventures Team for inviting me along to be part of their hop.

OMG! I love your card Vicki....I have not used that stamp set as much as I should have and you have used all the colours in a different way and it looks awesome
ReplyDeleteThis is a stunning card Vicki! I would never have thought to use this colour combo on the succulents but now I have to give it a go!
