Colour Creations Blog Hop Crumb Cake

 Hello and welcome

Tonight I'll be sharing with you Week 13 of Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team in Australia.

Each week there will be a Colour Creations blog hop showcasing Stampin' Up! Colors with a selection of members from the Art With Heart Team who will be joining in. I'm looking forward to seeing their beautiful projects using the Stampin' Up! Colors. You'll be able to hop around by clicking on the next link at the end of my blog.

The colour for tonight is Crumb Cake which is part of the Neutrals Collection and comes in a number of different mediums such as Ink, Cardstock, DSP etc....I've used Crumb Cake with Fresh Freesia, Very Vanilla and Early Espresso for my handmade card. The products I've used tonight come from the Annual 2021 - 2022 and Mini August - December 2021 Stampin' Up! Catalogues.

Crumb Cake is a favourite colour of mine and I just couldn't resist creating a card for tonight's blog hop. I've been very busy lately with our family hamper business and with Father's Day coming up soon. I was going to make a Father's Day card for my Dad, but I always like to make a vintage style card when it comes to Crumb Cake.

I recently purchased Quiet Meadow Bundle which is on page 110 of the Annual Catalogue. This is a beautiful bundle with flowers, patterns and greetings for the stamp set and an abundance of wild flowers to mix and match for the Meadow Dies. I'm in love with this bundle.

Starting with the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set I've stamped off the images in Crumb Cake Ink onto Crumb Cake Cardstock. Using the Blending Brush, I've added Crumb Cake Ink around the edges of the Crumb Cake panel.

To make Crumb Cake pop I've added Fresh Freesia Cardstock for some colour and it's another favourite colour of mine. I've embossed both the Fresh Freesia and Crumb Cake Cardstock using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. To give each of the panels the old vintage style, I've used a pink nail file which I received out of the Christmas cracker last Christmas. It's the best gift out of a cracker in a long time.

I've created lots of layers by using different textures and elements. I've used Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and Fresh Freesia Vellum for the Meadow Dies. I've added Crumb Cake and Early Espresso Ink to create a darker vintage look to the Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake. The butterfly is also in Crumb Cake Cardstock with Early Espresso Ink sponged with the Sponge Dauber.

I added a strip of the Cork Specialty Paper over the die-cut flowers and stamped the greeting in Crumb Cake Ink onto Very Vanilla Cardstock. To finish off the card, I've added a bow in Very Vanilla Baker's Twine and a few of the Fresh Freesia Jewels.
