Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Sale a Bration Take Two

 Hello and welcome,

It's Stamping 2nd Sunday latest blog hop for August, hosted by Sara Levin and for this month the design team will be showcasing the theme 'Sale-a-Bration' in our projects. The list of participants will be at the end of this blog.

Today's projects are two handmade cards and 3D gift box using Stampin' Up! products from the Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration August - September 2021, Mini August to December 2021 and Annual 2021 - 2022 Catalogues

Sale-a-Bration is here again for the next two months from 3 August - 30 September 2021, each time you spend $90 AUD or $180 AUD you can choose a FREE product from the Sale-a-Bration Catalogue (before shipping and handling). Sale-a-Bration is always a great time to stock up on your basics like paper, adhesives, ribbons etc....

I've used the Delicate Dahlias Stamp Set - FREE with $180 AUD 156601 and the Be Dazzling 6" x 6" Specialty Paper - FREE with $90 AUD 1156629 as my main focal point plus adding lots of other elements to my projects.

Casual Crafter

Using the Delicate Dahlias Stamp Set for the main focus with shades of Crumb Cake and Early Espresso Inks and Cardstock. I really like the tone on tone look when using Crumb Cake and you also get that vintage style too.

Starting with the card base using Early Espresso Cardstock and layered with Crumb Cake panel. I've used the smaller flower stamp from the Delicate Dahlias Stamp Set and stamped in Crumb Cake Ink. Using the Blending Brush I've added Crumb Cake Ink and a little of Early Espresso Ink to the edge of the Cardstock.

The larger Dahlia image from the stamp set is stamped in Early Espresso Ink onto Crumb Cake Cardstock  and coloured in with Stampin' Blends using Crumb Cake light & dark and Bronze. I've used this same technique with the smaller Dahlias and foliage. Then with my paper snips I've fussy cut out the coloured images.

To finish off the card I've added Black Baker's Twine, Gilded Gems and the greeting is also from the stamp set. I've created this card to show that you can create something without using the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. All you need is paper, ink, a good pair of Paper Snips and a few embellishments to create a card.

Vintage Style Avid Crafter

Well what can I say this is my kind of card that I love to make! When I saw the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper in the Sale-a-Bration Catalogue this was on my must have list. The thick glittery paper sparkles and is a champagne colour. You can also colour it but I love it how it comes.

There are lots of elements to my card so I'll start with the Dahlia which is heat embossed in Gold Emboss Powder onto Very Vanilla Cardstock and coloured in using Stampin' Blends in Ivory and Crumb Cake light & dark. Then fussy cut with the Paper Snips.

Something I haven't used in awhile is the Square Vellum Doilies coloured in using Cinnamon Cider Ink with the Blending Brush and once dried I added Gold Gilded Leafing. This is layered over the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper cut at 9cm x 9cm with the Paper Trimmer.

Another new product available in the Mini Catalogue is the Cork 12" x 12" Specialty Paper which has flecks of gold throughout. I love the texture of it. I've torn one of the sides to give it a vintage look, ruffed it up with the Paper Snips and scrunched it up for a wrinkled effect.

The card base is Sahara Sand Cardstock, I've embossed it using Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder but it's a bit had to see as I've covered it with the Gold Gilded Leafing.

To finish off the card I've added Very Vanilla Diamond Weave Ribbon, Champagne Rhinestones Jewels, Very Vanilla Baker's Twine and the greeting heat embossed in Gold Emboss Powder on Sahara Sand Cardstock. The greeting is then die-cut out using the stitched label die from the Potted Succulents Dies.

3D Gift Box

Starting with the Scalloped Kraft treat Box which compliments the two cards nicely. The Dahlia and leaves are stamped in Cinnamon Cider Ink onto Very Vanilla Cardstock and coloured in using the Stampin' Blends. I've used Crumb Cake, Ivory and Cinnamon Cider.

The Dahlia is layered over the Tailor Made Tag Dies the first one in Very Vanilla Cardstock coloured in with Blending Brushes using Cinnamon Cider and Early Espresso Ink. The second is the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper.

I've added a few of the Genial Gems in Pale Papaya and ribbon in Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim and Very Vanilla Baker's Twine.

To finish off the gift box I've added the Gold Shimmer Ribbon around the box and tied it in a bow.
