Heart of Christmas Blog Hop - Week 6

 Hello and welcome

Tonight's Art With Heart blog hop is hosted by Tina Gillespie with a selection of members from the Art With Heart Team who will be joining in. I'm so looking forward to seeing their beautiful projects using Stampin' Up! products.

Have you had a chance to see the new Stampin' Up! Mini August - December 2021 Catalogue and Saleabration Catalogue? It's almost been a week now and I had to place an order or two! I always love to create cards and paper craft for Christmas. I'm so in love with the catalogues. Stampin' Up! sure know how to give us a variety of products to suit everyone.

Tonight's project for me is all about sweet treats and I've used the Sweets & Treats Stamp Set and created a slimline card. This stamp set is in the Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue on page 11. I almost didn't see it until I saw an amazing card by Mikaela from The Crafty oInk Pen and it went straight to the top of my wish list!

This stamp set is perfect for not only Christmas but also thanks, love and birthday's as well. I love the open-art images which makes colouring in with your favourite colouring tools fun! It sure is money well spent.

The card base is Cinnamon Cider Cardstock cut at 21cm x 20cm and scored at 10.5cm. I've used the Gingerbread & Peppermint 6"x 6" DSP a panel in Gingerbread with white icing. As it's only measured at 6"s long, I've cut an extra piece and you can hardly tell the difference of the two pieces joining up.

The panel of Basic White Cardstock is light sponged with Misty Moonlight Ink with the Blending Brush. The pale blue brings out the colours of the sweets.

The stamped images are in Black Memento Ink and coloured in with the Stampin' Blends - Real Red, Cinnamon Cider, Old Olive, Smoky Slate, Crumb Cake and Ivory. I wanted the cakes to look like it's in a sweets shop so I've use the cake stand to create shelves. There was lots of fussy cutting involved, but it was so much fun to create. The greeting is from another stamp set as I needed something to fit inside the pudding, so I've used the Penguin Place stamp set.

I hope I've inspired you to start creating your own Christmas projects using paper craft. Stampin' Up! have so many beautiful products and I just love how it all coordinates.

Well that's it for me and I'm so excited to see everyone's Christmas projects so make sure you hope around the blog hop. Next up is Theresa Gerrard just click on the next button below.

  6. Your card looks like a display in a cake store or something like that. There is an impressive amount of fussy cutting on this card but it all looks amazing.
