Copper Clay 2023-25 AHW Colour Creations

 Hello and welcome,

My name is Vicki Boucher and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. Today, I'll be sharing with you the second of many blog hops. It's Week 2 of Colour Creations with the Art With Heart Team in Australia. I so enjoyed looking at everyone's beautiful projects last week.

The second colour is Copper Clay which is part of the In Color Collection for 2023 - 2025 and Stampin' Up! sure know how to create some beautiful new colors for us to play with!

Earthen Textures bundle (161514)

New colours means new Stampin' Up! products to try out from the Annual 2023 - 2024 Catalogue and I'll be showing you the Earthen Textures bundle (161514) which is on page 70 - 71 of the catalogue, it's part of the Earthen Elegance Suite Collection (161518).

For today's card I've actually made this for my husband whose birthday is coming up next week and I thought this bundle would work as a masculine card. I've used Copper Clay with Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy for my colour palette.

I really love the different stamped images from the stamp set and I've given it a wintery look as if you are looking outside a window. The images are stamped in VersaMark onto Basic White Cardstock, adding White Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. Then add colour using a Blending Brush add Copper Clay for the center part of the panel and then Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy.

To create a white, frosted look for your projects, apply VersaMark ink to the edges of the cardstock; then, dip the cardstock into white Stampin’ Emboss Powder and brush off the excess with a brush. Heat set the ink using the Heat Tool.

I always like to add layers and textures to my projects. Here I've added a torn piece of Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper then layered over with Copper Clay Jute Trim. I've actually separated the Jute Trim into three sections and layered under three of the die-cut pieces from the Earthen Textures Dies. I really love the large palm fan and did you know you can actually fold it to add dimension! I can't wait to try that idea.

To finish off the card, I added the sentiment from the Something Fancy Stamp Set and die-cut using the label die from the Something Fancy Dies.

Stunning card Vicki, a very unique way to use this bundle. The foliage stamps you've used are so delicate looking.

  5. A stunning card Vicki. Love it so much. Your colour combo is gorgeous and I love your emboss resist and blending, especially with the white embossed edge. Your centre treatment with torn DSP, frayed jute and the sentiment is perfect. All so gorgeous. xxx

  9. WOW!!! Simply amazed at how you've created the background colour and images. This is a brilliant and different way of using this set. Your card popped up in my Pinterest suggestions and so glad it did. Thanks for sharing, and do you make videos on YouTube? Would love to watch you making something like this.
