Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI147

 Hello and welcome,

My name is Vicki Boucher, and I am from Melbourne, Australia. Tonight, is the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI147 this photo was chosen by Nikki Spencer.

The chosen colour combination for #CI147 is Very Vanilla, Copper Clay, Pool Party and Lost Lagoon. As well as the chosen colours you may also like to add Basic White, Basic Black, Crumb Cake and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory', 'Bronze' and 'Natural Tones' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Pecan Pie instead of Copper Clay .... you get the drift).

The challenge will run for almost 2 weeks until 7pm (AEST) on Monday 24th July 2023 details to follow at the end of my blog.

The challenge colours are just gorgeous together and I couldn't wait to start playing with them. I just love Lost Lagoon and I'm so glad Stampin' Up! decided to have this colour return as one of the core colours. It goes really well with Pool Party too.

Today's card is a vintage style card using the Paper Florist Dies, Textured Floral Dies and stamp set for the sentiment. I had fun creating this card with more details below.

I started with the flower dies from the Paper Florist Dies and die-cut out a number of different images in Very Vanilla Cardstock. Then I like to add some interest by dry embossing them with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. Using either a Blending Brush or Sponge Dauber I added the challenge colours to each of the flowers. These colours are great for that vintage feel. I also spritz water onto the flowers with the Stampin' Spritzer.

As this was so much fun to create using this vintage technique for the flowers, I decided to create a panel as well. Using Very Vanilla Cardstock dried embossed using the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder and adding the challenge colours to the embossed cardstock with a Blending Brush. Spritz water onto the cardstock and then I scrunched up the inked-up cardstock. Then carefully unscrunch the cardstock and let it dry.

Next, I also did this with the Pool Party Cardstock by spritzing water using the Stampin' Spritzer front and back of the cardstock. Then scrunch and unscrunch the cardstock then let it dry. I also did this same technique to the smaller embossed Lost Lagoon panel.

As you probably know I love to add layers to my cards, so I decided to use the cute fringe die from the Paper Florist Dies to create an interesting layer. Then I added strands from the Jute Trim in Copper Clay. To finish off the card I added the bronze Brushed Metallic Dots.

I hope I've inspired you with the latest challenge and I do hope you'll join in. We so look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is new and made specifically for this challenge.

Wild Wheat AWH Colour Creations 2023-24

 Hello and welcome,

My name is Vicki Boucher and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. Today, I'll be sharing with you the fifth colour of many blog hops. It's Week 5 of Colour Creations with the Art With Heart Team in Australia.

This week's colour is Wild Wheat which is part of the In Color Collection for 2023 - 2025. Stampin' Up! have created a colour which isn't normally my go to but use it with other colours that will complement it and you'll come up with an amazing project. I've used Pretty Peacock, Lost Lagoon, Cajun Craze and I just had to use the gorgeous More Dazzle Specialty Paper in Gold this time. Wild Wheat has a gold look about it and they go well together.

This card was inspired by a card Cindy Schuster made a long time ago using the Daisy Lane bundle for The Crafty Carrot Co and other now retired products. I really like the colours she used, so I decided to CASE it. I've used a few different tools for my card. I like to mix and match using different coloured cardstock with different dies. They are Cheerful Daisies Dies, Earthen Textures Dies and Paper Florist Dies.

The other elements I have used are a torn strip of Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper in Wild Wheat, Wild Wheat In Color Dots and Wild Wheat In Color Jute Trim which I have unraveled into three strands.

The background panel is dried embossed using Timber 3D Embossing Folder with Pretty Peacock cardstock and then I scored the embossed panel to give the impression of strips of wood.

Pebbled Path - Colour Creations 2023 - 24

Hello and welcome,

My name is Vicki Boucher and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. Today, I'll be sharing with you the fourth of many blog hops. It's Week 4 of Colour Creations with the Art With Heart Team in Australia.

This week's colour is Pebbled Path which is part of the In Color Collection for 2023 - 2025 and Stampin' Up! have created another beautiful new color to create with. I've used it with Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie, Basic White and I added some bling by using that gorgeous More Dazzle Specialty Paper in Champagne.

I had some left over daisies from a project I created on the weekend, and I wanted to use them again. The White heat embossed daisies from the Cheerful Daisies Stamp Set are stunning and when you add colour either with a Blending Brush or Sponge Dauber. It can give you a wow factor to your projects! I wanted to try out these colours together and I was very happy on how they turned out.

The torn Basic White Cardstock was also left over from a previous card, I added Pebbled Path ink with the Blending Brush and Splattered ink by using the brush tip from the new Stampin' Up! markers. The other panel in Pebbled Path Cardstock is also torn down the side and dried embossed using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.

I love to add texture and other elements to the card by adding other tools such as the Textured Floral Dies in die-cut out in Crumb Cake Cardstock. Linen Thread goes really well with Pebbled Path and my new favourite embellishment are the Adhesive Backed Sparkle Gems. The sentiment is stamped in Pebbled Path ink using the Go To Greetings Stamp Set.

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - New Beginnings

Hello and welcome,

My name is Vicki Boucher and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. Today is the Stamping Sunday new blog hop for the month of May and it's all about new beginnings. The 2nd Sunday team have joined with the 4th Sunday team and we will now be showcasing our projects on the 3rd Sunday of each month. It's so exciting to see so many people join in the hop. All of the links will be at the bottom of my blog.

Today's project I've used new colors and new Stampin' Up! products, I've used the Cheerful Daisies bundle which I would have to say is one of my favourite stamp set and coordinating dies to create with and turning them into cards.

The technique I've used is the embossed resist by stamping the images in VersaMark onto Basic White Cardstock, add White Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set using the Heat Tool. Then either use Blending Brushes or Sponge Daubers and add colour to the daisies. Tip: I use a tissue to wipe off any ink from the images.

For my first card I used Boho Blue which I just love and it seems to just go with anything. It's one of the new In Colors 2023-25. Misty Moonlight is back which blends in well with Boho Blue. I've added Pecan Pie which is a new permanent color. I also tried the torn layered look with three layers of Basic White Cardstock.

I added some bling to the card using the new Adhesive Backed Sparkle Gems in Champagne and added a bow using Linen Thread to finish off the card.

For my second card which I wasn't going to do but I really wanted to try out this combination of colors. I used Wild Wheat and Boho Blue. When it comes to heat embossing, I like to stamp the images a number of times and play with color to see different results. I'm really liking Wild Wheat and it gives you a gold look to your projects.

For the background panel I used Queen Bee Stamp Set which is available on the Stampin' Up! Online Store. I've stamped the images in Wild Wheat and added colour by using the Blending Brush. I just couldn't decide on a sentiment, so I've left it blank for now. I added a few Boho Blue 2023-25 In Color Dots to the card.

Moody Mauve 2023 - 24 AWH Colour Creations

 Hello and welcome,

My name is Vicki Boucher and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. Today, I'll be sharing with you the third of many blog hops. It's Week 3 of Colour Creations with the Art With Heart Team in Australia.

The third colour is Moody Mauve which is part of the In Color Collection for 2023 - 2025 and Stampin' Up! have created a beautiful dusky pink and I've combined it with a favourite colour palette of mine.

Paper Florist Dies (161284)

I just had to try out another new Stampin' Up! product from the Annual 2023 - 2024 Catalogue and I'll be showing you the Paper Florist Dies (161284) which is focused on page 33 of the catalogue. I just love the idea of creating paper flowers and with a little bling.

Moody Mauve is a dark pink, but I do like to wash it out for the flower petals by making a watercolor wash onto a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. Once dry I then die-cut the flowers using the Paper Florist Dies. I also used Moody Mauve, Night of Navy Cardstock and More Dazzle 6" x 6" Specialty Paper in Champagne.

The background panel watercolor wash is Bubble Bath ink, water and Clear Wink of Stella. I like to mix the three together in the well of the Stampin' Pad and then add the glitter ink to the watercolor paper using Water Painter the large flat brush gives you a quicker application.

Once dry I then add Moody Mauve ink, I splatter the ink using one of the Water Painters and sometimes I add water to the ink for a lighter colour.

I used Night of Navy Cardstock and heat embossed using VersaMark, White Stampin' Emboss Powder and Sending Smiles Stamp Set, then die-cut the images using the coordinating Dies to create the sentiment. For some more bling I used Moody Mauve 2023-25 In Color Dots.

Copper Clay 2023-25 AHW Colour Creations

 Hello and welcome,

My name is Vicki Boucher and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. Today, I'll be sharing with you the second of many blog hops. It's Week 2 of Colour Creations with the Art With Heart Team in Australia. I so enjoyed looking at everyone's beautiful projects last week.

The second colour is Copper Clay which is part of the In Color Collection for 2023 - 2025 and Stampin' Up! sure know how to create some beautiful new colors for us to play with!

Earthen Textures bundle (161514)

New colours means new Stampin' Up! products to try out from the Annual 2023 - 2024 Catalogue and I'll be showing you the Earthen Textures bundle (161514) which is on page 70 - 71 of the catalogue, it's part of the Earthen Elegance Suite Collection (161518).

For today's card I've actually made this for my husband whose birthday is coming up next week and I thought this bundle would work as a masculine card. I've used Copper Clay with Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy for my colour palette.

I really love the different stamped images from the stamp set and I've given it a wintery look as if you are looking outside a window. The images are stamped in VersaMark onto Basic White Cardstock, adding White Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. Then add colour using a Blending Brush add Copper Clay for the center part of the panel and then Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy.

To create a white, frosted look for your projects, apply VersaMark ink to the edges of the cardstock; then, dip the cardstock into white Stampin’ Emboss Powder and brush off the excess with a brush. Heat set the ink using the Heat Tool.

I always like to add layers and textures to my projects. Here I've added a torn piece of Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper then layered over with Copper Clay Jute Trim. I've actually separated the Jute Trim into three sections and layered under three of the die-cut pieces from the Earthen Textures Dies. I really love the large palm fan and did you know you can actually fold it to add dimension! I can't wait to try that idea.

To finish off the card, I added the sentiment from the Something Fancy Stamp Set and die-cut using the label die from the Something Fancy Dies.

Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI143

 Hello and welcome,

My name is Vicki Boucher, and I am from Melbourne, Australia. Tonight, is the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI143 this photo was chosen by Jacque Williams.

The chosen colour combination for #CI143 is Copper Clay, Wild Wheat, Boho Blue, Moody Mauve and Pebbled Path. Choose at least three of the 2023-2025 In Colors. As well as the chosen colours you may also like to add Basic White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Crumb Cake and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory', 'Bronze' and 'Natural Tones' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Balmy Blue instead of Boho Blue .... you get the drift).

The challenge will run for almost 2 weeks until 7pm (AEST) on Monday 22nd May 2023 details to follow at the end of my blog.

These new In Colors are amazing and I just couldn't wait to start creating with them. I've made two handmade slimline cards for this latest colour challenge, and I've used a number of different stamp sets but the many one is the Textured Floral bundle which includes the Textured Floral Dies as well.

I ended up using all of the challenge colours as I only noticed on the side of the challenge colour photo it says choose at least three of the challenge colours. Oh well it was fun to use all of them.

Here's a list of all of the stamp sets I've used Go To Greetings, Queen Bee, Petal Park and Textured Floral. I used the challenge colours cardstock for the die-cut pieces and heat embossed the sentiment using White Stampin' Emboss Powder and Basic Black cardstock.

I like to create a darker edge to the stamped panel by adding colour with the Blending Brush. For example, I've used Boho Blue ink for the blue card and Pebble Path ink for the greyish card.

The other elements I have used are 2023-2025 In Color Dots, Boho Blue and Pebbled Path Jute Trim.

I hope I've inspired you with the latest challenge and I do hope you'll join in. We so look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is new and made specifically for this challenge.
