Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI156

 Hello and welcome,

My name is Vicki Boucher, and I am from Melbourne, Australia. Tonight, is the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI156 this photo was chosen by Colour INKspiration Crew Member, Jan Clothier. This is our 2nd last challenge of the year!

The chosen colour combination for #CI156 is Real Red, Shaded Spruce, Basic White and Basic Black. As well as the chosen colours you may also like to add Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory', 'Bronze' and 'Natural Tones' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Sweet Sorbet instead of Real Red .... for example).

The challenge will run for almost 3 weeks until 7pm (AEST) on Monday 11th December 2023 details to follow at the end of my blog.

I'm a little late on the blog for this latest challenge as it has already started, but there is plenty of time for you to do the challenge.

For my card I used the Sending Cheer bundle (162053) which will be retiring soon from the Stampin' Up! Sept-Dec 2023 Mini Catalogue. I just love the stocking die from the Sending Cheer dies. I used the image to die-cut out three of them in Basic White Cardstock then coloured them in with Real Red and Shaded Spruce inks with the Blending Brush.

The fun part was to create the tops of the stockings to do this I used Shimmery White Embossing Paste and applied the paste with a spatula to the die-cuts images in Basic White Cardstock. Once they are dry then add them to the coloured stockings. I added the stamped images of holly with adhesive to the stockings.

The fun sentiments are from the Sending Cheer Stamp Set, I used the heat embossing technique using VersaMark ink stamped the images onto Basic Black Cardstock, add White Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool.

I used two embossing folders for the background they are Exposed Brick and Timber 3D embossing folders. Dried embossed using Basic White Cardstock. I added some retired twine and ribbon which I had on hand to use up.

I hope I've inspired you with the latest challenge and I do hope you'll join in. We so look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is new and made specifically for this challenge.

Upload only one picture per entry straight to the discussion wall and not in an album

Global Design Project #GDP421 Colour Challenge

Hello and welcome,

I'm so excited to share with you that I'm Guest Designer at Global Design Project for their latest Colour Challenge #GDP421 because I won the previous colour challenge and here's my card.

I just love the colours they are giving me the retro Christmas classics vibe and they are Lemon Lime Twist, Poppy Parade and Pool Party.

I went for a softer layered look blending ink onto the images with either a Blending Brush or a Sponge Dauber for harder to reach areas, then adding Clear Wink of Stella followed by Shimmery White Embossing Paste. You can't go wrong with a touch of glitter to your projects.

The background panel is Basic White Cardstock, layered over Pool Party card base and then I've stamped the pine stamp image a number of times in Pool Party ink this give you added depth to the card.

I just love the sentiment from the Joy of Noel Stamp Set stamped in Pool Party onto Basic White Cardstock. To add height, I used the Foam Adhesive Sheet and then die-cut out the letters using Joy of Noel Dies. To finish off I layered the letters over the label from the Christmas Classics bundle and added Pool Party Iridescent Discs.

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - Stocking Fillers

 Hello and welcome,

My name is Vicki Boucher and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. Today is the Stamping Sunday blog hop for the month of November and for this month's theme is "Stocking Fillers". It's the 3rd Sunday of the month and can you believe it we are not too far away until the end of the year! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's projects and you'll be able to see them by clicking on their names which will be at the end of my blog.

This was a fun challenge to think about and I went with two cute treat boxes using the Envelope Treat Boxes (159788) and they are for my two daughters; I'll be popping them into their Christmas stockings.

I recently received a new order from Stampin' Up! and it's always exciting to receive new products which is from the new Mini Catalogue Jan-April 2024. I just love it! There are so many pretty items, and my wish list is very long! One of the items is the Mini Alphabet Dies (162934) which will be available for customers in January 2024. They are perfect for cute labels such as these treat boxes.

For the Pool Party treat box, I used the Silver & Gold Glimmer 12" x 12" Adhesive Backed Glimmer Paper (162288) for the letters. It's just gorgeous and I love that it has adhesive on the back of the paper.

For the pink treat box, I used the Berry Burst Soft Shimmer Paper 12" x 12" Specialty Paper (161750) for the letters. I just love a little bit of sparkle added to my projects.

I haven't used Shimmery White Embossing Paste in a while and I recently got this amazing tip from fellow Artisan Mikaela Titheridge, she used White Embossing Paste to create snow and applied to the detailed pine die-cut pieces. I love this die and it's from the Joy of Noel Dies (161965) I also added Clear Wink of Stella and Pool Party ink with the Blending Brush applying to the white die-cut pine pieces. It adds the perfect glimmer to your projects.

The images from the Christmas Classics Dies (161976) makes the perfect focal point for this treat box, die cutting the images in Basic White Cardstock and then adding Bubble Bath and Berry Burst ink with a Blending Brush. Then I added Clear Wink of Stella to the foliage and layered over Berry Burst belly band.
