Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI130

 Hello and welcome,

My name is Vicki Boucher, and I am from Melbourne, Australia. Tonight, it's the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI130 and this photo was chosen by lou Kitzelman. It's such a pretty photo and I love the colour palette.

The colour combination for #CI130 is Highland Heather, Blackberry Bliss, Night of Navy and Granny Apple Green. As well as the chosen colours you may also add Basic White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory' and 'Bronze' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Parakeet Party instead of Granny Apple Green .... you get the drift).

The challenge will run for almost 2 weeks until 7pm (AEST) on Monday 10th October 2022 details to follow at the end of my blog.

Today's card, I've created a watercolour look using the large floral stamp from the Blessings of Home Stamp Set and stamped it in Stazon Ink onto Shimmery Whisper White Cardstock. I've actually stamped the image about four times around the edge of the panel.

Then with the four challenge colours I started mixing them together on the paper using the fine tip Water Painter. For example I would use Highland Heather and then add Blackberry Bliss ink to the three larger flowers. I like to leave a little white space at the tip of the flower petals. Then I would firstly add Highland Heather and then Night of Navy ink for the other two large flowers.

Once the watercolour panel was dry, I lightly added Night of Navy ink to the edge of the cardstock with the Blending Brush and I also did this Highland Heather.

Using a couple of the smaller stamps from the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set, I stamped randomly a number of times in Highland Heather and Night of Navy ink. I really liked this and there's hardly any white space left at all.

To finish off the card I added White Glittered Organdy Ribbon and Silver Simply Elegant Trim. The sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy ink onto a strip of Basic White and adhered to a strip of Night of Navy Cardstock.

I hope I've inspired you with the latest challenge and I do hope you'll join in. We so look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is new and made specifically for this challenge.

Colour Creations Blog Hop - Week 11 Cinnamon Cider

Hello and welcome

Tonight I'll be sharing with you Week 11 of Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team in Australia.

Each week there will be a Colour Creations blog hop showcasing Stampin' Up! Colors with a selection of members from the Art With Heart Team who will be joining in. I'm looking forward to seeing their beautiful projects using the Stampin' Up! Colors. You'll be able to hop around by clicking on the next link at the end of my blog.

The colour for tonight is Cinnamon Cider which is part of the In Color 2020 - 2022 Collection and comes in a number of different mediums such as Ink, Cardstock, DSP etc....I've used Cinnamon Cider with Early Espresso Ink and different Specialty Paper for my handmade card. The products I've used tonight all come from the three Stampin' Up! Catalogues - they are the Annual 2021 - 2022, the Mini August to December 2021 and Saleabration August to December 2021.

I love creating different shades of Cinnamon Cider when it comes to paper craft. I've used the Blending Brush to blend on different types of paper. The die-cut piece from the Penned Flowers Dies is in Vellum, layered over in Be Dazzling Specialty Paper and Basic White Cardstock.

I've used the flower image from the Hand-Penned Stamp Set stamped in Cinnamon Cider onto the Linen Specialty Paper and then I've blended Cinnamon Cider Ink to add more colour.

The Cork Specialty Paper is amazing! I love the gold flecks throughout the paper and I've blended Early Espresso Ink with the Blending Brush to create a darker colour. This brings out the letters from the Playful Alphabet Dies which is die-cut out in the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper.

I got the idea from Nikki Spencer who created a card using the letters with this gorgeous paper. I added a thin strip on the side of the Cork Paper. I think just the right amount of bling to my card.

The card base is in Cinnamon Cider Cardstock, embossed using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder and then I added Cinnamon Cider and Early Espresso Ink with the Blending Brush to the card.

To finish off the card I've added a few of  the Champagne Rhinestones Jewels which go nicely with this colour.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, I would so love hear your thoughts on my project by leaving a comment below.

Just Add Ink Colour Challenge #565

 Hello and welcome,

I haven't entered a challenge at Just Add Ink for awhile and when I saw the colour challenge, I just knew I had to enter my handmade card. These colours are so pretty together and the design team have created beautiful projects using the colours.

I finally purchased the Hand-Penned Petals Bundle from the Stampin' Up! 2021 - 2022 Annual Catalogue and I love it! The stamp set has beautiful hand drawn floral images and coordinating fill stamps that give the design an effortless watercoloured look. The coordinating Penned Flowers Dies have delicate florals and botanical accents for your paper craft projects.

This is my first card using this bundle and I've used the FREE Saleabration item, Beautifully Penned 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper. The black and white paper coordinates with the Hand-Penned Petals Bundle.

Starting with Basic Black Cardstock for the card base and adding a layer of the black polka dots on white Beautifully Penned DSP.

The addition of ribbon was used, firstly Pale Papaya & White Ribbon and then a layer of Black/White Baker's Twine.

Using a piece of watercolor paper I've stamped the beautiful floral image in Black Stazon Ink. Using Pale Papaya and Polished Pink Ink to colour in the flowers using the fine tip Water Painter. I like to mix the two colours together a little to add depth.

As I needed a birthday card, I've used the greeting from the Sentimental Rose Card Kit. I've heat embossed the sentiment by using Versamark Ink, White Emboss Powder sprinkled onto Basic Black Cardstock and heat set with the Heat Tool. Then fussy cut out the greeting and I added a bow using the Baker's Twine.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, I would so love hear your thoughts on my project by leaving a comment below.
