Stampin' Up! Week 53 Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop Terracotta Tile

Hello and welcome back to my blog with the lovely ladies from Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop.

Today is week 53 and we are playing along with one of the new In-Colours called Terracotta Tile for 2019-2021.

This new colour is available to purchase in Ink, Cardstock, Ribbon, DSP and much more. I’ve created two cards this week using this colour.

For my first card that I’ve decided to use a stamp set that is from the Stampin’ Up! beginner brochure. Sometimes the Annual Catalogue can be a bit over whelming, but with this brochure we can help you with the basics like with stamps, kits, ink and a few more additional features. If you would like this brochure I would be more than happy to send you one.

The stamp set is called Magnolia Blooms which also coordinates with the Magnolia Lane cards & more which you can make quick and simple cards if you’re pressed for time.

I stamped the flower image in Jet Black Stazon Ink on Shimmery White Cardstock. I water coloured the image in using my Aqua Painter and Terracotta Tile Ink.

I cut the Terracotta Tile Scalloped Linen Thread in half as I only wanted a thin strip to run down the side of the cardstock. I just love making a bow out of the Linen Thread winding it around my fingers a couple of times to make a bow.

The gingham DSP is from the 6x6” In Colour which has 40 sheets in total, 4 each of 2 double sided designs in 5 In Colours. You can also purchase this paper in all the other colour collections too.

Now for my next card. I’ve used the Magnolia 3D Embossing Folder and embossed a sheet of Shimmery White Cardstock.

I water coloured the Magnolias in Terracotta Tile, Old Olive, Smoky Slate and Basic Grey. For the background I used Smoky Slate to give the flowers some dimension.

The Congratulations is from the Magnolia Blooms Stamp Set and I stamped the greeting in Basic Grey.

Thank you for visiting my latest blog and I hope you've enjoyed how I created these two cards using Terracotta Tile.

If you would like a new catalogue, please contact me today and I can send one out to you.

Stampin' Up! Week 52 Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop Pretty Peacock

Hello and welcome back to my blog with the lovely ladies from Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop.

Today is week 52 and we are playing along with one of the new In-Colours called Pretty Peacock for 2019-2021.

This new colour is available to purchase in Ink, Cardstock, Ribbon, DSP and much more.

I’ve decided to use Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana and Gold with the new in colour for my card this week. I just love how the gold and these colours goes so nicely together.

I was so happy to see the Magical Mermaid Stamp Set in the new Annual Catalogue for 2019-2020. I just love to water colour and emboss the mermaid. I’ve used Shimmery White Cardstock and Gold Embossed her. Then with my Aqua Painter I’ve used Pretty Peacock ink for her tail. I’ve used my Blends in Petal Pink light for the skin and Daffodil Delight for the hair.

For the background I wanted to try out the Ink blending technique on Shimmery White Cardstock. Using the Stampin’ Sponges I blended the colours together starting with Pretty Peacock. This was so much fun! Then I splatted water onto the Cardstock which has created underwater bubbles. I really loved using this technique, I might try using different colours next time.

The gold scalloped look around the edge of the cardstock is using the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch. I think it gives a nice finish to the card.

For the gold seaweed I’ve used the Dies from the Bouquet Bunch and die cut them out using Gold Foil. To finish off the card I’ve gold embossed the greeting and placed a few sequins from the Iridescent Sequin Assortment.

Thank you for visiting my latest blog and I hope you've enjoyed how I created my Pretty Peacock card.

Stampin' Up! Week 51 Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop Rococo Rose

Hello and welcome back to my blog with the lovely ladies from Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop.

Today is week 51 and we are playing along with one of the new In-Colours called Rococo Rose for 2019-2021. This new colour is available to purchase in Ink, Cardstock, Ribbon, DSP and much more. Isn’t it just beautiful? It’s a favourite of mine and I’ve used it with Early Espresso.

In the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue which is available from me if you don't have one yet. I've used the Free As A Bird stamp set for my card. I stamped the image on Shimmery White Cardstock with Early Espresso Ink. With my Aqua Painter I carefully water coloured the bird and flowers in Rococo Rose. I've left some of the paper exposed to give some variation of the images. I used my snips to fussy cut out the bird, flowers and leaves which didn't take me long at all.

The greeting Hugs for you is from the May issue of the Paper Pumpkin – Hugs from Shelli kit which unfortunately has now sold out in Australia. At the time when I made this card it was still available to purchase. There are some lovely greetings in the Free As A Bird stamp set which you could also use.

I die cut the large die from the Stitched Labels as this gave the card a lace feel about it. I also used the tiny heart die which is just the sweetest. Both of the dies was cut with Shimmery White Cardstock and then I lightly brushed Rococo Rose Ink with my Aqua Painter. I then layered the everything together until I was happy with the layout.

For the card base I’ve used Rococo Rose Cardstock, 6” x 6” In-colour Designer Series Paper and the beautiful ½” Scalloped Linen Ribbon which are all available in this stunning colour.

Thank you for visiting my latest blog and I hope you've enjoyed how I created this Rococo Rose card. If you would like a new catalogue please send me a message.

Stampin' Up! Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set and Magnolia Memory Dies

I wanted to share with you a card that I’ve made for the Colour INKspiration challenge #CI56.

These colours and cake are just stunning and I just knew I had to enter into the latest competition.

The colours are Berry Burst, Blackberry Bliss, Melon Mambo and Garden Green. The set I’ve used is the new Magnolia Lane Suite which includes Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set and Magnolia Memory Dies. This suite is available from the new Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalolgue for 2019-2020.

I just had to use the large Magnolia from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set. I stamped it in Stazon Jet Black Ink on Shimmery White Cardstock and with my Aqua Painter I started off with Melon Mambo, then Berry Burst and Blackberry Bliss for the flower. The leaves are watercoloured in with Garden Green. The Magnolia has been cut out with the coordinating die.

For the background I’ve used Whisper White Cardstock and I've lightly sponged Melon Mambo ink with a Sponge Dauber.

To bring out the Blackberry Bliss of the flower I decided to use Blackberry Bliss Cardstock for the card base.

This Magnolia Lane Suite has so much to offer. There is a beautiful Magnolia 3D Embossing Folder which I can’t wait to order next week and start creating with it.

Need a new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue please send me a message.

Stampin' Up! Free As A Bird Stamp Set and Stitched Nested Labels Dies

Today I wanted to share with you a card that I recently made for my daughter’s friend as her birthday is coming up soon.

The request was that I had to use blue for the card and I decided to use the new Bird Ballad Suite. This beautiful suite is available in the 2019 – 2020 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue.

It includes the Free as a bird Stamp Set and Stitched Nested Labels Dies.

I stamped the bird and flower images with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White Cardstock. I coloured them in using Night of Navy light, Balmy Blue dark and light Stampin’ Blends. I fussy cut out the bird and flowers and layered them on the Stitched Nested Labels Die.

The Hello was stamped and then die cut out with the smallest Stitched Nested Die. Isn’t it the sweetest tiny die you’ve ever seen?

For the background I’ve created a light all over wash with my Aqua Painter in Balmy Blue ink on Shimmery White cardstock.

To finish off the card, I’ve used the Solid Bakers Twine in Whisper White. I wrapped it around the cardstock three times and added a bow.

I just the colour of the blues in the bird and I hope my daughter’s friend will too. Have I inspired you to create using this suite? The colours are endless to choose from with this stamp set. What would you choose?

Thanks for visting my blog today

Stampin' Up! Week 50 Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop Tranquil Tide

Hello and welcome back to my blog with the lovely ladies from Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop.

Today is week 50 and we are playing along with Tranquil Tide which is one of the In Colours for 2017-2019 and sadly it will be finishing up on 3rd June 2019.

This colour reminded me of the forest and I wanted to showcase one of the new Host stamp sets from the new Annual Catalogue for 2019-2020.

It’s called New Wonders and I just love this stamp set as it’s Distinktive. I like the different opacities in a single stamped image for a realistic depth and intensity.

For the background I used the “smooched” technique, with my Silicone Craft Sheet I pressed Tranquil Tide and Bermuda Bay on the sheet. Then with a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock I “smooched" the sheet until it was covered in ink.

I then spritzed with Rubbing Alcohol and Shimmer Paint all over the Cardstock. This gives the card a quick drying effect and plenty of glitter from the Shimmer Paint. I also created this same “smooched effect with Gorgeous Grape and then Die cut out with the Layering Circles.

This cute fairy has been water coloured in with the following colours – Tranquil Tide, Bermuda Bay, Gorgeous Grape and Early Espresso. I brushed Wink of Stella over the wings and the lighter part of Gorgeous Grape. You can never have enough glitter when it comes to fairies.

I used some embellishments to finish off my card with the Boxwood Wreaths, Corrugated Elements and the Iridescent Sequins.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my latest blog.

Happy crafting

Stampin' Up! Good Morning Magnolia

Today I wanted to share with you a quick card that I’ve created using the new stamp set called Good Morning Magnolia. This stamp set is available in the new Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalogue which is available from me now.

I wanted to use a bright pink for the Magnolia so I’ve choosen Lovely Lipstick in the Blends. Then I went over the flower with the Colour Lifter to blend in the light and dark.

The leaves have been coloured in with Granny Apple Green and Dark Mossy Meadow with more blending in with the Colour Lifter.

I wanted to keep the card simple as the flower is the main focal point, so I’ve used a Sponge Dauber and lightly sponged the Cardstock with Balmy Blue.

There are coordinating Magnolia Memory Dies which cuts out the flower. The Thanks has been stamped in Memento Black and fussy cut around it.

To finish off the card I’ve used the 3/16” Braided Linen Trim and tied it in a bow.

Thank you for visiting my blog today and happy crafting.

Vicki.
