Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI141

 Hello and welcome,

My name is Vicki Boucher, and I am from Melbourne, Australia. Tonight, is the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI141 this photo was chosen by Jan Clothier.

The chosen colour combination for #CI141 is Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Gold and your favourite from 2021-23 In Color Collection. As well as the chosen colours you may also like to add Basic White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory', 'Bronze' and 'Natural Tones' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Polished Pink instead of Melon Mambo .... you get the drift).

The challenge will run for almost 2 weeks until 7pm (AEST) on Monday 24th April 2023 details to follow at the end of my blog.

The In Color I have chosen is Polished Pink I think this is the perfect colour to go with the other three challenge colours. Pink, gold with vanilla is elegant and I've used Basic Black for the sentiment. Simple but very effective. What do you think? 

I decided to use Two-Tone Flora bundle which includes the stamp set and Dies from the Jan- April 2023 Mini Catalogue and I'm so happy to say this will be carrying over into the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue 2023 - 2024. The stamps are two-step and I've just stamped some of the images off onto scrap paper first before stamping onto Very Vanilla Cardstock. I just love the colour of Polished Pink stamped onto Very Vanilla Cardstock. It's so pretty!

The gold leaves are heat embossed with Gilded Leafing. First stamp the leaves in Versamark Ink then add Heat & Stick Powder, heat with the Heat Tool, then quickly add the Gold Gilded Leafing and brush off any loose bits with your fingers or a brush. I also added Gilded Leafing to the edge of the Very Vanilla Cardstock panel. This time I lightly used Multipurpose Glue applied to the edge of the paper, dry with the Heat Tool and added Gilded Leafing.

The other gold elements are Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins, Gold Simply Elegant Trim and Gold Shimmer Ribbon which is on sale now and will be retiring soon. The sentiment is from Go-To Greetings Stamp Set and this will be carrying over into the new Annual Catalogue.

Creation Station Blog Hop - Gold

 Hello and welcome

My name is Vicki Boucher, and I am from Melbourne, Australia. This is the latest hop with the design team at Creation Station, if you have come from Denita Wright-Smee or you may have started with me. The design team at Creation Station are presenting their projects with the theme "Gold" which I just love to use in my paper craft and it's so elegant especially with green. 

Today's slimline card I've used a variety of different Stampin' Up! products from the Annual Catalogue. Starting with inking Soft Succulent cardstock panel, I've stamped a number of different images in Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, Garden Green and Shaded Spruce ink. Here is the list of stamp sets used: Season of Chic, True Beauty, Honey Bee Home and Celebrating You for the Gold Embossed Sentiment.

I added Gold Gilded Leafing to the edges of the stamped panel, to do this I use a Sponge Dauber and add a little of Multipurpose Glue, then run it along the cardstock. You can either wait for it to dry or hurry it with the Heat Tool, then add Gold Gilded Leafing and brush off with your fingers or a brush.

I've used the Organic Beauty and Meadow Dies, die-cut out using the detailed dies in Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent and Distressed Gold Specialty Paper. I also added Gold Gilded Leafing to the die-cut pieces for an interesting effect.

Other gold items I've used on the card are Texture Chic Specialty Designer Series Paper, Gold Shimmer Ribbon, Gold Simply Elegant Trim and Brushed Brass Butterflies, they seem to have a gold feel about them.

Creation Station Blog Hop - Texture

Hello and welcome,

Can you believe it we are already into July, the months are flying bye so quickly! Today's project for July 2021 Creation Station blog hop is all about 'Texture' using Stampin' Up! products. We can use Embossing Powder, Embossing Paste and or Embossing Folder. These products are available to purchase in the Stampin' Up! 2021 - 2022 Annual Catalogue and in my online store.

When it comes to creating my projects and using different mediums, I just love to have some fun! I finally purchased the Shimmery White Embossing Paste (I have no idea why it's taken me so long) and it was perfect to go with the new Plenty of Patterns Decorative Masks to create my under the sea birthday card.

Creating with texture is always fun, I've used lots of glitter, sparkle, sequins and gold. I love how it shimmers against the light. I'll show some tips and tricks on how to create this magical card.

I started with a panel of Shimmery White Cardstock, coloured the panel in using the Blending Brushes and Ink in the following Stampin' Up! Colours - Fresh Freesia, Gorgeous Grape, Magenta Madness, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay.

Using the scalloped Decorative Mask which reminds me of a mermaid, place over the coloured panel and secure the mask with Washi Tape. Run the Versamark Ink Pad over the mask, then sprinkle Heat and Stick Powder and remove carefully. 

Heat set with the Heat Tool and then apply Gold Gilded Leafing by rubbing it onto the card and remove excess leafing with your fingers or a soft brush. Just be careful not to get the leafing go all over the place, so make sure you use only a little at a time.

The Friends Are Like Seashells Bundle page 27 in the Annual Catalogue coordinates with the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder. I've embossed the Seashells using Basic White Cardstock and then die cut using the large die from the Seaside Seashells Dies. 

To create a different look for my under the sea card, I've fussy cut out some of the seashells away from the embossed piece and coloured them in using different coloured Inks with the Blending Brushes. Then I added Clear Wink of Stella all over the seashells.

The two starfish are stamped in Versamark Ink onto Fresh Freesia and Coastal Cabana Cardstock, sprinkled with White Stampin' Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. 

Before adding the seashells etc... I created the sparkly sandy seabed by mixing the Shimmery White Embossing Paste with a tiny drop of Coastal Cabana Ink, plus a tiny drop of Magenta Madness and Gorgeous Grape Ink. This Embossing Paste takes a lot longer to dry, so I added Sequins for Everything to the Shimmery White Paste.

To finish off the card I stamped the sentiment using Versamark Ink onto Basic Black Cardstock, added White Stampin' Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. Then fussy cut out the greeting. I added more Wink of Stella and a few of the sequins from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack.

Global Design Project #GDP292 - Artistically Inked Birthday Card

 Hello and welcome

I've entered into the latest Global Design Project #GDP292 - Case The Designer - Susan Wong who is an amazing Artisan Designer and I just love her projects. I've CASED her card by using the layout which saves you a lot of time when it comes to creating a card. 

The card I've created is for a customer who requested a pink card for a friend, who just so happens she loves pink! I love pink too! Polished Pink is so beautiful with white and gold foil.

The whole Expressions in Ink Suite is my favourite from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue for 2021 to 2022. I just had to use it for this project. The Expressions in Ink 12" x 12" Specialty DSP is perfect for the background panel, I've used the Polished Pink with Gold Foil and White Paper.

I've used the large flowers and leaves detail die which is from the Artistic Dies, I've die cut using Basic White Cardstock and added Magenta Madness Ink with the Blending Brush. I've also added a little of the Gold Gilded Leafing to the die cut image.

To finish off the card I've added White Baker's Twine, stamped the sentiment in Magenta Madness Ink onto a strip of Basic White Cardstock and added Polished Pink In Color 2021 - 2023 Jewels.
