Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI164

 Hello and welcome, 

My name is Vicki Boucher, and I am from Melbourne, Australia. Tonight, is the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI164 this photo was chosen by Colour INKspiration Crew Member, Lou. It's all of the In Colors for 2022-24 designer series paper and it's almost time to say goodbye to these current colours.

The chosen colour combination for #CI164 is Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis and Starry Sky. As well as the chosen colours you may also like to add Basic White, Very Vanilla, Basic Beige, Crumb Cake, Basic Black and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory', 'Bronze' and 'Natural Tones' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Night of Navy instead of Starry Sky.... for example).

The challenge will run for almost 2 weeks until 7pm (AEST) on Monday 6th May 2024 details to follow at the end of my blog.

I have loved using these Stampin' Up! In Colors for the last two years especially the blues will be missed, but I'm really loving Sweet Sorbet at the moment and it goes nicely with Basic Beige as the background panel.

I've used the Leaf Collection stamp set for today's challenge and I've stamped the large stamp in each of the challenge colours onto Basic White Cardstock and then I have fussy cut out the images with Paper Snips Scissors. I used the Stampin' Blends in the same In Colors to colour in the stamped images to block out any white cardstock. I just used the fine tip of the Stampin' Blend to complete the solid image. 

For the Basic Beige background panel and strip under the greeting, I stamped the Leaf Collection image using Versamark ink and layered the Basic Beige Cardstock over the stamp and pressed down with another Clear Block. The Versamark leaves a soft tone on tone image rather than using Basic Beige ink.

I used the Alphabet A La Mode Dies and die-cut out the images in Sweet Sorbet Cardstock layered over Foam Adhesive Sheet to give the letters some 3D boost!

Global Design Project #GDP361

 Hello and welcome,

My name is Vicki Boucher and I am from Melbourne, Australia. I always love to enter into the Global Design Project  and it's a Colour Challenge #GDP361 I just couldn't resist these bright colours they've chosen Parakeet Party, Shaded Spruce and Flirty Flamingo.

Today's card is a variety of Stampin' Up! products from the July - December 2022 Mini Catalogue. I've used the Spruced Up Outlines Dies (159700) for the Christmas tree and stars. I added Shaded Spruce ink with a Blending Brush to the Parakeet Party Christmas tree. A handy tip is to place the Adhesive Sheets (152334) onto the cardstock and die-cut the detailed pieces out with the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.

I just love the Celebrations Tag Dies (159866), I've used the cute tag die and die-cut out in Shaded Spruce and Parakeet Party cardstock. I dried embossed the Parakeet Party tag using the Charming Landscapes Embossing Folder (159593).

There are some really cute stamp images from the Sweet Gingerbread Stamp Set (159714), I inked them up in Flirty Flamingo ink and stamped them onto Basic White cardstock. There's coordinating Gingerbread House Dies (159718) for the images.

The layers under the gift tags are a panel of Basic White Cardstock, lightly inked up with the Blending Brush and Flirty Flamingo ink. Plus a splatter of Flirty Flamingo ink using the Stampin' Write Marker.

The other panel is Parakeet Party cardstock and I've moved it so it appears under the white panel.

To finish off the card I used the Handmade Wishes Stamp Set (159684), I stamped the sentiment in each of the challenge colours.

Artisan Design Team - Wisteria Wishes Bundle

 Hello and welcome,

My name is Vicki Boucher and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. Today I'll be sharing two projects using the Wisteria Wishes Bundle, turning them into a slimline card and standard card.

The Artisan Design Team are featuring the Wisteria Wishes Bundle on Stampin' Up! Facebook and their new Instagram page where you'll sure to be inspired by everyone's creations, I'll add the link at the end of my blog.

The Wisteria Wishes Bundle (158860) is located on page 92 of the Stampin' Up! 2022 - 2023 Annual Catalogue. This beautiful bundle consists of Wisteria Wishes Photopolymer Stamp Set (159434) and coordinating Wisteria Dies (158859). 10% bundle savings when you purchase the stamp set and dies together using (158860). I love the trio wisteria stamp and sentiments are so beautiful too.

Faith is about Trusting Card

As this is a new catalogue I just had to play with the new In Colors 2022 to 2024 for both of my cards. I've used Tahitian Tide, Parakeet Party, Orchid Oasis and Starry Sky. I just love them so much!

I started with the card base using Starry Sky Cardstock, I really like the deep blue color. The ombre panel is Basic White Cardstock, using the Blending Brush I started with Tahitian Tide then onto Orchid Oasis and Starry Sky Classic Ink. The three colours combined nicely together and I left white exposed at the bottom of the card.

I die-cut out a number of wisteria images in Basic White and applied the same colours to the wisteria as the background panel. I also die-cut a number of leaves in Basic White and added Parakeet Party with the Blending Brush.

I used the twisted vine die in Basic White Cardstock and layered the leaves over the vine. I like how the white stands out against the shades of blues.

To create the sentiment I used the Stylish Shapes Dies to create a smaller label, by die-cutting the cardstock across at the top for a cute stitched look. 

To a Friend Slimline Card

To create the slimline card I used Orchid Oasis Cardstock measured at 18 x 21.5cm and at fold at 9cm. The Basic White panel is measured at 8.5 x 21cm this gives lots of room for stamping using the trio wisteria stamp. 

I would recommend starting off with the lightest color using Tahitian Tide Classic Ink in full strength and keep on stamping until there is no more ink on the stamp. Then to create realistic depth and variation I used Orchid Oasis and Starry Sky Classic Ink. Next, I used the single wisteria stamp and stamped over the wisteria images in either Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis or Starry Sky. I really liked mixing the colours together.

I wanted to add some depth and add another colour into the mix, so I used the flowers and leaves from the Wisteria Dies and die out a number of times in Basic White Cardstock.

To add contrast I used Parakeet Party, Bermuda Bay and Tahitian Tide to the leaves using Sponge Daubers for more control when adding colour to delicate die-cut pieces. 

I know you don't normally see green wisteria, but I wanted to make them pop against the stamped images. I used Basic White cardstock, applied Parakeet Party, Bermuda Bay and Tahitian Tide ink using Blending Brushes and the Classic Ink.

To finish off the card I stamped the sentiment in Starry Sky and die-cut out using the Stylish Shapes Dies and layered over the leaves with Diemensionals.
