Colour Creations Blog Hop - Blueberry Bushel

 Hello and welcome my friends,

My name is Vicki Boucher and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. Today, I'll be sharing with you another colour for Colour Creations blog hop and we are now at week 12 with the Art With Heart Team in Australia.

The next colour is Blueberry Bushel, which is part of the Regals range and it's such a pretty blue.  Blueberry Bushel comes in Cardstock, Classic Ink Pad, Ink Refill, Embellishments, Designer Series Paper and other Stampin' Up! products.

Today's card is a bit of a mish mash of Stampin' Up! products used together to create a unique card for a friend to say hello! I only used Blueberry Bushel and no other colour except Basic White Cardstock. I wanted to make this colour shine and standout against the white cardstock.

The list of products I've used are the following Flowers of Beauty Stamp Set and Dies, Simply Said Stamp Set, Unbounded Love Dies, Round We Go Dies and Friends for Life Dies. They are all in the current Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue for 2024-25.

I created a fun ombré pinwheel (using the Round We Go Dies) by adding Blueberry Bushel ink with the Blending Brush to a strip of cardstock (you will need two of these) and then use the pinwheel die to die-cut out two strips. They are easy to fold with your hands and then add Tombo Multipurpose Glue to the ends of the die-cut pinwheels. I like the depth of colour from the center and leading out to a pale blue.

To achieve a water colour look without using water try this idea. I stamped a number of blue flowers from the Flowers of Beauty Stamp Set in Blueberry Bushel, then colour the flowers in using the Blue Watercolour Pencil and then apply the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter brush to create a watercolour look with lots of glitter.

I just love the Friends for Life bundle, especially the Friends for Life Dies and you can make a variety of different combinations of sentiments. I just had to use the word 'Friend' from the dies and use it as a focal point, I like the freshness of white against the ombre background. I used the 'hello' greeting from the Simply Said Stamp Set and die-cut it out using the stitched circle die from Unbounded Love Dies.

The background panel is not just white, I applied Blueberry Bushel ink with the Blending Brush to give it some colour and I also added some splatter by tapping Blueberry Bushel Stampin' Blend against the Bone Folder.

To finish off the card I added a few of the leaves and Blueberry Bushel Tinsel Gems.

Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI169

Hello and welcome,

My name is Vicki Boucher, and I am from Melbourne, Australia. Tonight, is the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI169 this photo was chosen by Colour INKspiration Crew Member, Cathy Pinchbeck.

The chosen colour combination for #CI169 is Basic Beige, Blueberry Bushel, Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy. As well as the chosen colours you may also like to add Basic White, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Basic Beige, Crumb Cake and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory', 'Bronze' and 'Natural Tones' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Azure Afternoon instead of Blueberry Bushel.... for example).

The challenge will run for almost 2 weeks until 7pm (AEST) on Monday 22nd July 2024 details to follow at the end of my blog.

This is gorgeous this colour palette, I just love the blues together and with a touch of beige for a masculine birthday card for my farther in-law. I've used the Round We Go Bundle (163730) and is located on page 63 of the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue.

I made a slimline card starting off with a panel of Basic White Cardstock, then adding Misty Moonlight, Blueberry Bushel, Night of Navy inks and the Blending Brush to the cardstock. Next, I used the Round We Go Stamp Set and stamped the images directly onto the inked up cardstock. I added multiple circle images using Blueberry Bushel and Misty Moonlight ink.

Then I used the Round We Go Dies and used the peek-through diamond and circle dies to add some interest to the card, I layered another panel of Basic White Cardstock underneath the top panel. This makes the images pop!

I layered different pinwheels together using the challenge colours in cardstock and with Basic White Cardstock.

To finish off the card I heat embossed the sentiments in white onto Night of Navy Cardstock and I added a small piece of Basic Beige Bordered Ribbon to one of the pinwheels.

I hope I've inspired you with the latest challenge and I do hope you'll join in. We so look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is new and made specifically for this challenge.

Challenge guidelines:

  • Create a NEW project made specifically for this challenge.
  • Use all of the challenge colours (or close substitutions) unless stated.
  • Upload only ONE picture per entry straight to the discussion wall and NOT in an album.

Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI60

Welcome to my blog for the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI60. The colour palette for this challenge is – Petal Pink, Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock and Blueberry Bushel.

For my creation I wanted to do some water colouring and use the beautiful set Bloom & Grow Bundle which is from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue.

I stamped the imaged in Stazon Jet Black Ink which is permanent ink and best used when water colouring. The image was stamped onto a piece of the new Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. It’s cold-pressed archival cotton paper, it comes in 10 sheets at 5” x 7”.  I used Petal Pink and Terracotta Tile for the floral images. For the foilage I used Pretty Peacock and Blueberry Bushel with my Aqua Painter.

I wanted the stamped images to stand out, so by adding Blueberry Cardstock for the background this made them pop! I recently received the new Scripty 3D Embossing Folder, so I just couldn’t wait to use this on my card. I wrapped the Blueberry Bushel Ribbon around the Cardstock three times and adhered it with Tear & Tape so it was nice and secured.

I just love the font on the sentiment and in White Embossing Powder it stands out well against the Blueberry Bushel Cardstock. I then used the second largest Stitched Nested Die and die cut around the image.

Once I adhered the pieces together with Liquid Glue, Tear & Tape and Stampin’ Dimensionals and layered my card up. I wanted a little sparkle so I added the gorgeous Blueberry Bushel Noble Peacock Rhinestones to finish off my card.

Thank you for coming along and seeing my card today. I hope you’ve enjoyed my latest creation for the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge.

Happy Crafting,

Vicki Boucher

Stampin' Up! Capture the Good

Today I wanted to share with you a card that I’ve made using the stamp set Capture The Good, it’s on page 142 of the Annual Catalogue. I just love the creations that is in the Catalogue and I wanted to make a fun card with this stamp set.

I made the tag using Shimmery White Cardstock and I punch the top corners with the Banner Punch. The small black circle was used with the ½” circle punch and then I punched the hole with the Delightful Tag Topper.

The stamped image of the camera has been Embossed with White Embossing Powder. Then the fun began with brushing some Basic Black Ink onto the Cardstock and once dry I used the Smooched Technique. I placed some Blueberry Bushel, Pacific Point ink onto a piece of Window Sheet and spritzed water using the Stampin’ Spritzer. With the Window Sheet I smooched it onto the Cardstock until I was happy with the application.

For the textured Brick background I used the Embossing Paste with a drop or two of Pacific Point and Blueberry Bushel. Once dry I could layer my card up.

The sentiments in the stamp set have some fun sayings and I’ve stamped mine in Versamark Ink, covered it in Black Embossing Powder and sealed it with the Heat Tool.

Thank you for visiting my latest blog and I hope you’ve enjoyed my card.

If you would like a new catalogue, please contact me today and I would be happy to send out a catalogue to you.

#CI50 Colour INKspiration Challenge

Welcome to my challenge for the #CI50 Colour INKspiration Challenge. When I saw the photo they had chosen for this challenge I wanted to create a card.

The colours are Blueberry Bushel, Bermuda Bay, Sahara Sand, Mango Melody and Coastal Cabana.

I used the same layout design as the card I made a week ago. I used the Incredible Like you Stamp Set for the background. I gradually changed the colours from light to dark. It gives you that water look effect with the stripes.

I decided to use the Painted Seasons stamp set and it's such an amazing set. The succulents are a favourite of mine.

I used the Corrugated Dynamic TIEF in Blueberry Bushel, I just love the texture from this Embossing Folder. The Happy Birthday greeting is from Amazing Life Stamp Set which fits nicely in the Rectangle Stitched Framelits.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you liked my card.
