Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - Last Dance

 Hello and welcome,

It's Stamping 2nd Sunday latest blog hop for April and the theme is Last Dance for the Design Team. Our hop is a little bit different for this month instead of the list of names you can hop around by either going forwards or going backwards. To see Jay Soriano who is before me please click on his name and for Tami Hewlett who is after me. Please click on her name at the end of my blog.

Today you'll be seeing products that will be retiring as of the 3rd of May 2021 or unless SOLD OUT beforehand. Some of the products I've used have already finished like the Purple Posy Stampin' Blends and Cardstock they always seem first to go. You can visit my online store at the end of my blog to purchase any of the products that are available.

The In Colors for 2019 - 2021 are retiring and in particular Purple Posy is one of my favourite In Colors and I'm so sad to see it go. In fact all of them are so beautiful, I will miss them.

I've used the Bloom & Grow Stamp Set 149229 and Budding Blooms Dies 149548 for the main focus for my handmade thank you card and 3D project. I've always loved this stamp set as there are different flower images to colour in with I've chosen to colour them in with Purple Posy 154896 and Mango Melody 154888 Stampin' Blends. I'm really loving shades of yellows and mauves together they just brighten up my day!

Using Purple Posy Cardstock 150887 a half sheet folded in half as my card base, adding a panel of In Color 6" x 6" DSP 153071 in Purple Posy measures at 10.5cm by 12cm. Layering the stamp images of the flowers around the Stitched Nested Labels Dies 149638 in medium size 9.5cm x 5cm in Shimmery White Cardstock and lightly sponging So Saffron Ink onto the piece of Cardstock.

To match with the Gold Mini Pizza Box I've added a couple of the delicate gold pieces from the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper 152493 to the card.

Another set retiring is the Beauty Abounds Stamp Set 148726 and the coordinating Butterfly Beauty Dies 151819. The smaller butterfly is in So Saffron and Gold foil for the die cut butterfly image.

The sentiment is from the Bloom & Grow Stamp Set, it's stamped in Versamark Ink onto Basic Black Cardstock with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. I've fussy cut out the Thank You.

The Gold Mini Pizza Box 152068 coordinates with the card by using the same colours throughout the project. I've rapped around the box using the Vanilla Ribbon from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack 152475 and tied it in a bow.

Using a square piece of DSP in Daffodil Delight which is from the Brights 6" x 6" DSP 152487 to form the base for the added layers.

The gold pieces from the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper, Bloom & Grow Stamp Set and the Stitched Nested Labels Dies using a smaller die cut for the sentiment. I added a So Saffron Butterfly to finish off the box.

Colour INKspiration Challenge #77

Hello and welcome to our latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #77 and this beautiful photo is our inspiration to create something special. The colours for this challenge are Old Olive, Soft Sea Foam, Garden Green, Very Vanilla and Seaside Spray. You can also add Whisper White, Basic Black and metallics.

The challenge runs for almost 2 weeks and will end at 7pm (AEST) on 25th May 2020. I hope you’ll enter into the Colour INKspiration Challenge we would so love to see your creation.

I just love the colours for this challenge and here’s my card using the Bloom and Grow Bundle. I haven’t used this bundle for awhile and I thought it was perfect to do water colouring with these colours.

I started off with Fluid 100 Water Color Paper and Gold Embossed the flower image times two. I’ve blended Garden Green with Seaside Spray with my Aqua Painter to create a darker blue/green flower (I think it’s a nice blend). The middle flower is only Soft Sea Foam, stating off with a light touch of ink and slowly adding more colour. The third flower is a light combination of Soft Sea Foam and Seaside Spray which is also a nice combination. Who knew that these colours would really work well together! That’s why I love these colour challenges.

The card base is Thick Very Vanilla Cardstock and I’ve stamped a leaf image from the stamp set in Soft Sea Foam just randomly on the card front. The next layer is a sheet of Soft Sea Foam in gingham Subtles 6”x 6” DSP, die cut out with the Stitched Rectangles Dies. I also die cut out a smaller layer of water color paper with the Stitched Dies and lightly brushed Seaside Spray Ink with the Aqua Painter.

The Soft Sea Foam Cardstock swirls is from the Parisian Dies which blends in nicely with the colours and bundle. The sentiment is in Old Olive Ink onto a strip of Very Vanilla Cardstock and before layering it to the card, I’ve added a strip of Old Olive Cardstock which finishes the card off nicely.
Make sure you visit our Facebook group to enter the competition, we would love to see how you would use these colours.

Click here at Colour INKspiration Facebook group to take part and upload the photo of your creation. You don’t need a blog to enter either. Share with your crafty friends, so they can join in with the challenges too.

Hope to see you there!

Thank you for stopping by today.

Happy Crafting

Vicki Boucher

Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI60

Welcome to my blog for the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI60. The colour palette for this challenge is – Petal Pink, Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock and Blueberry Bushel.

For my creation I wanted to do some water colouring and use the beautiful set Bloom & Grow Bundle which is from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue.

I stamped the imaged in Stazon Jet Black Ink which is permanent ink and best used when water colouring. The image was stamped onto a piece of the new Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. It’s cold-pressed archival cotton paper, it comes in 10 sheets at 5” x 7”.  I used Petal Pink and Terracotta Tile for the floral images. For the foilage I used Pretty Peacock and Blueberry Bushel with my Aqua Painter.

I wanted the stamped images to stand out, so by adding Blueberry Cardstock for the background this made them pop! I recently received the new Scripty 3D Embossing Folder, so I just couldn’t wait to use this on my card. I wrapped the Blueberry Bushel Ribbon around the Cardstock three times and adhered it with Tear & Tape so it was nice and secured.

I just love the font on the sentiment and in White Embossing Powder it stands out well against the Blueberry Bushel Cardstock. I then used the second largest Stitched Nested Die and die cut around the image.

Once I adhered the pieces together with Liquid Glue, Tear & Tape and Stampin’ Dimensionals and layered my card up. I wanted a little sparkle so I added the gorgeous Blueberry Bushel Noble Peacock Rhinestones to finish off my card.

Thank you for coming along and seeing my card today. I hope you’ve enjoyed my latest creation for the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge.

Happy Crafting,

Vicki Boucher

Stampin' Up! In Color Collection for 2019-2021

Tonight the Art with Heart team are sharing creative projects featuring in color theme. Check out the new 2019 - 2021 in colors and let’s not forget the current 2018 - 2020 in colors. If you would like a copy of the 2019 - 2020 annual catalogue, contact any of the girls on the blog hop and we will get in touch with you.

In Color Collection 2019-2021

My first five cards that I have created, I’ve used the In-color Collection 2019-2021 are Rococo Rose, Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock, Seaside Spray and Purple Posy. They are all stunning colours and I just can’t decide which one I like the best.

Purple Posy

I’ve used the Bloom & Grow Bundle and my Stampin’ Blends to colour in the stamped image. They come in all of the new In-colors except for Terracotta Tile, so I used water colouring instead for that card.

Seaside Spray

I wanted to showcase the colours by running a piece of  Cardstock through the Big Shot with the Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder.

Pretty Peacock

For the layering I placed a strip of Scalloped Linen Ribbon on the Embossing Folder. I then used Dimensionals with each layer for the Crumb Cake Stitched Label Die, stamped flower image and greeting.

Terracotta Tile

Rococo Rose

Do you have a favourite of the new In-colors for 2019-2021?

For my next five cards that I’ve created using the In-color Collection 2018-2020 are Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover and Blueberry Bushel.

In Color Collection 2018-2020

These colours are fun, bright happy colours and I wanted to create cards using the It Starts With Art Bundle.

Lovely Lipstick

To begin with I stamped the images in Stazon Jet Black Ink on Shimmery White Cardstock and then I used my Aqua Painter to colour in the images. This bundle comes with coordinating Arts & Crafts Dies so no fussy cutting was needed.

Blueberry Bushel

In this suite it has a Embossing Folder called Button Button, so I ran a piece of coloured Cardstock through with the Big Shot.

Call Me Clover

I used the Stitched Rectangles to Die cut out a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock. I wanted to show some variation in each of the colours so with my Aqua Painter I brushed colour onto the Cardstock starting with lighter shade and then adding more colour until I was happy with application.

Grapefruit Grove

The sentiment is also from the It Starts With Art stamp set. I just love the font and it fits nicely in the Stitched Rectangle Die.

Pineapple Punch

Before I layered everything onto the Whisper White Thick Cardstock I randomly stamped using two of the button stamps in the same colour. Once I was happy on how I was going to place everything I used my Multipurpose Liquid Glue and added Demensionals for the greeting.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my cards today? It’s been a big week for me with three blogs to do and lots of cards that I have been creating.

Happy Crafting,

Vicki Boucher

Colour INKspiration Challenge #58

Hello and welcome to my card creation as guest designer for this Colour INKspiration Challenge for #CI58

The beautiful colours for this challenge are Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake, Whisper White and Gold.

I love the photo they had chosen for the challenge especially the pink faux fur stool.

I decided to use the Bloom & Grow Bundle which is on page 131 in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue.

I used one of the beautiful flower images and embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder onto Shimmery White Cardstock. With my Aqua Painter I water coloured the image in Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake. This set has coordinating Dies so no fussy cutting was needed.

The sentiment was also Gold Embossed on Whisper White Cardstock and then I die cut the greeting out with the edge scalloped dies.

My favourite die at the moment is the Stitched Lace Die it’s so beautiful and delicate with the stitching. I used the edge die to form the scalloped boarders on either side.

I just had to create another layer for my card, so I used the Tin Tile 3D Embossing Folder with Blushing Bride Cardstock and then I layered the Lace Die on top. I wound some Solid Baker’s Twine around the Lace Die, Tin Tile Cardstock and then attached to the base of Blushing Bride Cardstock.

I added some Stampin’ Dimensionals to make the flower images and greeting pop up from the card. For the final touch I added some Wink Of Stella onto the flowers to make them sparkle.

Thank you for joining us today on the Colour INKspiration hop.

To see more great projects, please keep on hopping along and up next is Kelly Kent please see her beautiful creation.

Happy Crafting
