Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI116

Hello and welcome,

It's the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI116 and this photo was chosen by Cheryll Miller. I just love the colours and the beautiful vintage style place setting.

The colour combination for #CI116 is Highland Heather, Blackberry Bliss, Mint Macaron and Smoky Slate.. As well as the chosen colours you may also add Basic White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Basic Black and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory' and 'Bronze' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Gorgeous Grape instead of Highland Heather .... you get the drift).

The challenge will run for almost 2 weeks until 7pm (AEST) on Monday 7th March 2022 details to follow at the end of my blog.

Today I've used Honeybee Home Stamp Set and Honeybee Blooms Dies which is in the Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue 2022. The stamped images and sentiments are beautiful and is perfect for a little water colouring.

Starting with Basic White Cardstock panel adding Mint Macaron Ink with the Blending Brush to the center and working my way out. Using the sentiment "Stay Wonderful" I've stamped it three times onto the panel, followed by the smaller flower image which I stamped multiple times. Using the Smoky Slate Marker I've splattered ink onto the panel with the brush tip against the lid.

The main flower images is stamped in Black Stazon Ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock and water coloured in using Highland Heather, Blackberry Bliss and Mint Macaron.

I added a few strips of torn paper starting with the bottom layer in Layering Designs Vellum layered under Handed Penned Designer Series Paper in Mint Macaron. Topped with White Baker's Twine and the sentiment stamped in Smoky Slate Ink. To finish off the card I added a few of the Very Vanilla Polished Dots.

I hope I've inspired you with the latest challenge and I do hope you'll join in. We so look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is new and made specifically for this challenge.

Use all of the challenge colours (or close substitutions) unless stated.

Stampin' Up! Tip and technique Friends of the Forest

 Hello and welcome,

Today I wanted to share with you my latest tip and technique by using the faux masking technique with Blending Brushes and Grid Paper. I've used the Friends of the Forest Stamp Set which is in the Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue January to June 2022.

Create a faux torn paper look by tearing up Grid Paper and using it as a mask over Basic White Cardstock. Apply ink to the Cardstock with Blending Brushes. Here I've used Balmy Blue for the sky and Old Olive for the ground.

Add stamped images and then remove the Grid Paper. Complete your project as desired. Here I've used Watercolor Pencils and Clear Wink of Stella to colour in the stamped images and then fussy cut out using the Paper Snips.

I've used the following colours Garden Green, Granny Apple Green, Old Olive and Cajun Craze for the tree. Real Red and Basic Gray for the toad stools. Daffodil Delight and Old Olive for the daisies. Basic Gray and Melon Mambo for the rabbit.

To finish off the card I added White Baker's Twine to the panel and greeting is adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals. The panel is layered over Old Olive Cardstock for the card base.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, I would so love hear your thoughts on my project by leaving a comment below.

Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI115

Hello and welcome,

It's the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI114 and this photo was chosen by Monica Formosa, I just love the earthy tones in the photo.

The colour combination for #CI115 is So Saffron, Bumblebee, Cajun Craze and Gray Granite. As well as the chosen colours you may also add Basic White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Basic Black and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory' and 'Bronze' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Crushed Curry instead of Bumblebee .... you get the drift).

The challenge will run for almost 2 weeks until 7pm (AEST) on Monday 21st February 2022 details to follow at the end of my blog.

Today's card is using the Happy Hedgehogs Bundle #157983 which is on page 64 of the new Stampin' Up! Jan- June 2022 Mini Catalogue. This bundle is so adorable and I have water coloured the stamped images using the fine tip brush from the Water Painters. I think Cajun Craze works well for the colour of the toadstool.

I applied So Saffron Ink using the Blending Brush to the Basic White background panel and stamped the tree directly onto the panel in Bumblebee Ink. Then I added a die-cut circle in Basic White and stamped the tree again, but this time in Gray Granite.

I'm always needing birthday cards so I used the greeting from the Art Gallery Stamp Set it's my go to stamp set for lots of different sentiments.

I hope I've inspired you with the latest challenge and I do hope you'll join in. We so look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is new and made specifically for this challenge.

Creation Station Blog Hop - Saleabration

Hello and welcome, Can you believe it we are already into February and today is extra special as it's my birthday today! I had a lovely time out with my family for high tea and a 5k walk around the Sherbrooke Forest, it's a beautiful part of the Dandenongs in Victoria, Australia.

Welcome to the latest hope with the design team at Creation Station, if you have come from Denita Wright-Smee who is also from Australia or you may of started with me. Please make sure you hope around and see everyone's amazing projects. I'll pop a link at the end of my blog....

The design team at Creation Station are presenting their projects with the theme "Saleabration" which is now in it's second month for February 2022 with lots of FREE goodies when you purchase Stampin' Up! products from either the Mini January to June 2022 Catalogue and the Annual 2021 to 2022 Catalogue. Once you've spent $90 AUD (before tax and shipping) on products you get to choose a FREE product from the Saleabration Catalogue. There are a range of  Saleabration items for either $90 AUD and $180 AUD.

Sunshine and Rainbows Designer Series Paper

Driving By Stamp Set

Catching Butterflies Stamp Set

I've used three Saleabration items for today's projects they are #158108 Catching Butterflies Stamp Set, #158099 Driving By Stamp Set and #158126 Sunshine and Rainbows 6" x 6"  Designer Series Paper.

I've created a fun fold card and two gift tags showcasing these amazing free items!  The fun fold can open and close and fits inside a normal size envelope. You only use a half sheet of A4 Cardstock and I've made a few of these types of cards over the year. The dimensions for cutting and scoring are listed below.

Measurements:

Thick Basic White Card Base - Cut at 21cm x 14.9cm

                                                      Score and fold at 5.5cm, 8.5cm, 12.5 and 15.5cm

Sunshine and Rainbows DSP - Cut two at 14.4cm x 5cm each

                                                     Cut middle piece at 14.4cm x 3.5cm

The Sunshine and Rainbows DSP has a range of bright and subtle colours from Stampin' Up! I was going to go with the bright colours from the paper, but I decided to use the soft colours instead for the three background panels.

I love the combination of colours together they make me feel happy! I've stamped the girl with the butterfly net and butterflies in Black Versamark Ink onto Basic White Cardstock. Then coloured them in with the Stampin' Blends and fussy cut out. I like how she's standing on the cloud it gives you the impression she floating up high with the rainbows and clouds.

The combination of colours I've used through out the card and gift tags are Soft Sea Foam, Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo, Blushing Bride, Petal Pink and Bermuda Bay.

I've stamped the balloons and presents from the Driving By Stamp Set and fussy cut them out.

The Brilliant Rainbow Dies are perfect to go with the Saleabration stamp sets and DSP they make a lovely addition to your crafty stash! My Favourite from the Jan to June Mini Catalogue for sure.

For the two gift tags I've used the Tailor Made Gift Tags Dies and die-cut out using the Sunshine and Rainbows DSP and Basic White Cardstock. The additional pieces I've added are from the Brilliant Rainbow Dies and Cloud Punch.

Now it's time to visit the very creative Jeanna Kay from the USA to see her projects and visit her blog. I'm looking forward to reading all about her creations. Just click on the next link below.
