Artisan Design Team - Easter Friends and Baby Cards

Hello and welcome,

My name is Vicki Boucher and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. Today I'll be sharing four projects using the Easter Friends and Happy Heartfelt Stamp Sets, turning them into Easter and baby cards and gifts tags.

I love beautiful, coordinating, vintage style cards and gift tags in soft, subtle colors with lots of layers. I'll add the list of products used at the end of my blog.

Rabbit vintage style card

This cute bunny is perfect for your Easter craft projects. For a soft, stamped image use Smoky Slate Classic Stampin' Pad and stamp the rabbit on Basic White Cardstock. Color the image with Stampin' Blends in soft pastel colors using Petal Pink, Pale Papaya, and Flirty Flamingo. Blend in the colors with the Stampin' Blend Color Lifter. Fussy cut the rabbit with Paper Snips.

To create a soft, subtle look, color your die-cut pieces using a Blending Brush and Petal Pink Ink. Lightly apply ink to the Eden Dies border. Cut the colored border die with a Paper Trimmer or Paper Snips and adhere it to the largest Tailor Made Tags die-cut piece in Basic White Cardstock and Heart & Home Designer Series Paper.

To add interest to your panels of cardstock, I used the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder and dried embossed using Vellum and Petal Pink Cardstock. Use your Paper Snips along the edges of the cardstock to distress.

To finish off the card I like to add a few embellishments using the Pearl Basic Jewells. The sentiment is stamped in Basic Gray Ink to coordinate with the Heart & Home Designer Series Paper.

Baby duckling card

I just love this duckling, stamped in Smoky Slate Classic Stampin' Pad onto Basic White Cardstock. Color the image with Stampin' Blends using So Saffron and Daffodil Delight, blend the colors together. Fussy cut the duckling out with Paper Snips.

I added Balmy Blue and Pear Pizzazz Ink with the Blending Brush to the Basic White gift tag and placed under the duckling.

It is easy to make lots of thin strands from the White 3/4" (1.9cm) Frayed Ribbon by pulling apart the wide ribbon. Once it is frayed, thread it through the gift tag hole and hold it in place.

To create a fun background, stamp your images in the same color as the cardstock. Here I've used So Saffron Cardstock and So Saffron Classic Stampin' Pad. Stamp the duckling and sentiment three times each. For the greeting I've used the "Hello baby!" sentiment from the Happy Heartfelt Stamp Set to create baby card. Stamp the sentiment in Basic Gray Ink on a strip of Basic White Cardstock.

Creation Station February Blog Hop - Cute Critters

Hello and welcome,

Today's projects for February 2021 Creation Station blog hop is all about four legged "Cute Critters" Stampin' Up! have a number of different stamp sets in both the Mini and Annual Catalogues. I'm so looking forward to seeing all the other design Team Members creative projects so make sure you click on the link at the bottom of my blog.

I recently purchased the Baby Pull Toys Stamp Set which is in the Mini 2021 Catalogue this set is perfect for baby gifts, tags, cards and so much more. The stamp set consists of three cute critters, an elephant, lion and giraffe. Plus sentiments and other images.

It's a cling stamp set and guess what happened? The giraffe stamp went missing! It's a crafter's nightmare when a stamp or die goes missing from your creative space. Has this ever happened to you? I've been looking for days, everywhere! But nothing, it just disappeared!

Then I finally found the stamp it was clinging to a plastic bag I had on my crafting table (non related to crafting). Those cling stamps sure know how to cling to things! Next time I'll be placing my stamps straight back in their container.

For my projects I created a Double Z-fold card, a gift tag and a mini card all coordinating together. Using Blushing Bride, White, Basic Gray and Smoky Slate for my colour palette. As there isn't any Blushing Bride in the Stampin' Blends, I used the light Flirty Flamingo in the Blends and blended it with the Color Lifter. You get a nice pale pink.

I just love the cute polka dot pattern, it just screams baby and all cute things! The paper comes in Subtles range 6 x 6" DSP in the Annual Catalogue.

The stamped images are in inked up in Basic Gray onto Whisper White Cardstock, coloured in using the Stampin' Blends in light Flirty Flamingo, light Smoky Slate and Color Lifter. Then die cut out using the largest Stitched Square Die. I gave dimension to the lion by layering the head and mane with dimensionals. The three Blushing Bride hearts are die cuts from the Floral Hearts Dies.

Measurements for the Double Z-Fold Card

  • Thick Whisper White Cardstock cut card base 4-1/2" x 11"
  • Score at 2-3/4" and 5-1/2"
  • Blushing Bride Cardstock cut 3-1/4" x 9-3/4"
  • Score 3-1/4" and 6-1/2"
  • Blushing Bride polka dot DSP 5" x 4-1/4"
  • Blushing Bride script DSP 4-1/4" x 2-1/2"
  • Whisper White cut x3 pieces 3-1/4" x 3-1/4"
  • Die cut using largest Stitched Square Die
  • Have scraps of Blushing Bride and Whisper White Cardstock for sentiments and mini heart die images
  • Basic Gray Twine from the Well Suited Twine combo pack

For the gift tag I've used Blushing Bride Cardstock for the tag 2" x 4" punch using the Delightful Tag Topper. Blushing Bride polka dot DSP 1-3/4" x 3-3/4", scraps of Whisper White for sentiment, stamped elephant image in Basic Gray Ink and use the second smallest Stitched Circle Die. Color in with Stampin' Blends and finish off with Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon.

The mini card is using all the same above products. The card measures 3" x 6" with layered scraps of DSP cut to fit and layered under the second largest Stitched Square Die in Whisper White. I've sponged Blushing Bride Ink on the white cardstock before layering the lion with adhesive. The sentiment is stamped in Basic Gray Ink on a piece of scrap Whisper White Cardstock and adhered with dimensionals.

Now it's time to visit the lovely Antoinette and see her amazing creations. I can't wait to visit her blog and read all about her Cute Critters!

#TGIFC288 Designer Take Over

Hello and welcome,

I've decided to enter my project in the latest TGIF Challenge the theme for this week is Going In Circles which was chosen by designer Tammy Wilson.

I've created a baby card for our family hamper business YV Hampers for a customer and the Wildly Happy Stamp Set with the cute bunnies was perfect. I've used watercolor pencils in Basic Gray, Melon Mambo and used Wink of Stella for added sparkle.

The three stitched circles from the Stitched Shapes Dies are in Vellum, Purple Posy and Whisper White. I've sponged Highland Heather Ink with the Sponge Dauber onto the Whisper White circle and then added the bunnies.

Purple Posy is such a pretty colour, I've used the cute polka dot 6" x 6" DSP with a distressed look around the edges and a panel in the script writing 6" x 6" DSP.

I've used the Make a Difference Stamp Set and created my own sentiment in Black Memento Ink onto a strip of Whisper White Cardstock. Adding a little more black and white, I've used the Black & White Bakers Twine wrapped around the DSP and into a bow.

The final touch for a few more circles are the Purple Posy Sequins from the Woven Sequin Assortment.

Thank you for visiting my blog today and to see all of the amazing projects from the designers at TGIF Challenge click here.
