Social Stamping Blog Host - Sunshine

Hello,

Welcome to our latest Social Stampers Blog Hop for this week we are showcasing the theme “Sunshine”.

It’s a beautiful weekend in Melbourne with the sun shining and we are aloud out to visit our family and friends which makes it extra special. The sun always makes me feel happy and this bright happy card will sure bring a smile to your face.

I’ve used a number of different shades of yellows from Stampin’ Up! like Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, So Saffron and Pineapple Punch which is retiring soon. Also retiring are the Pigment Sprinkles which I’ve used for my Daisy, I just love the bright colours and you just never know how the Pigment will look once applied onto the Water Color Paper.

I’ve added Pineapple Punch Ink to the strip of Water Color paper and added splatter effect with the Aqua Painter (which is also retiring). The gorgeous gingham DSP is in So Saffron, which layered over Whisper White Cardstock and the card base is Daffodil Delight.

I just love the sentiment from the Daisy Lane Stamp Set “It’s your time to Shine” it’s such a positive greeting and perfect for this “Sunshine” project. What do you think?

Both the embellishments finish off the card nicely and I will miss them for sure.

Make sure you see everyone’s amazing creations with this bright happy theme in our latest Social Stamping Blog Host.

Creation Station May Blog Hop "Mad as a Hatter Mash Up"

Hello and welcome,

Today, I will be sharing with you a card that I’ve created for the latest Creation Station blog hop. This month’s theme is “Mad as a Hatter Mash Up” which means create something unexpectedly with different Stampin’ Up! products or use an outlandish colour palette.

It was so nice to get back into the craft room and create something a little bit different for a change. I had no idea what I was going to do but after a few days later I started to get some ideas in my head. I wanted to use bright colours and I thought what are the opposite colours in the colour wheel? Purple and yellow was a good colour combination to start with.

The main medium for my card is using the Pigment Sprinkles they are bright and fun to play with, so I started with the Bermuda Bay and a panel of water color paper for my under the sea card. The layer underneath is Mango Melody Pigment Sprinkles and water color paper. Around the edges of the water color paper I’ve applied Versamark Ink to the paper, sprinkled Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool.

Through out the card I’ve applied Gold Embossing or I’ve used Gold Foil. I just had to use Gorgeous Grape as my card base as I’ve used the colour through out the card. I’ve Embossed a panel of Gorgeous Grape with the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder and added Gold Embossing Powder.

I liked the idea of adding different Dies or Punches to the card, the leaf Die from the Seasonal layers was fun to play with, using it with the Gold Foil and also combing Pigment Sprinkles with water color paper. The Medium Daisy Punch is so cute and using Mango Melody with Gorgeous Grape really stands out in the card.

I’ve so enjoyed creating this card and playing with the Pigment Sprinkles, they will be missed as they are retiring as of the 3rd June from the Annual 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up! Catalogue. The fun part with Pigment Sprinkles is you just never know how your card will turn out and no two cards will ever look the same.

Be sure to visit everyone’s blog and see their amazing creations for the month of May. Make sure you come back next month for more inspiration and to see our creations.

Just Add Ink Challenge Blog #480 Add a "Technique"

Hello and welcome,

Tonight I’ve entered this card for the Just Add Ink Challenge Blog #480…..Add a “Technique”

The technique I’ve chosen is the Pigment Sprinkles, I just love the bright colours, mix it with water and create amazing projects. The colours are Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, Mango Melody and Melon Mambo.

The card that I’ve created is for my daughter and she likes to take photos, so the Capture The Good stamp set was perfect for her.

I started with a piece of Water Colour Paper, spritzed the paper with water using the Stampin’ Spritzer, lightly sprinkled Gorgeous Grape and Bermuda Bay. Once I was happy with the right amount of colour, I then used my Aqua Painter to blend in the ink. While waiting for this to dry, I then worked on my background.

For the background I’ve used the Water Colour paper, spritzed with water and this time I added Gorgeous Grape only and then covered with a tissue to remove access ink off the paper. You can speed up the drying process by using the Heat Tool.

I went back to the Gorgeous Grape and Bermuda Bay piece of Water Colour Paper. I stamped the camera image and fussy cut the camera out. The heart image was also stamped and punched out with the 1” Circle Punch.

I liked the Gorgeous Grape against the Whisper White Cardstock. To finish off the card I heat embossed the sentiments using White Stampin’ Emboss Powder onto Basic Black Cardstock.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my card today and how I’ve used the Pigment Sprinkles.

Colour INKspiration Challenge #66

Hello and welcome,

Today I will be sharing with you a card that I’ve created for the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #66 and the choice of colours are Gorgeous Grape, Coastal Cabana, Poppy Parade, Pineapple Punch, Mint Macaron and Lovely Lipstick. How gorgeous is the photo and choice of colours? You can choose any three colours for your creation, plus you can use Basic Black, Whisper White, Very Vanilla and Metallics. This challenge will run for 3 weeks and will end at 7pm (AEDT) on Monday 11th November 2019.

Did you see Nicole Wilson’s beautiful creation for this challenge? I just love the colours and technique she has used, so be sure to hop all the way through for more inspiration using these colours.

The colours I’ve used for my card are Gorgeous Grape, Coastal Cabana and Mint Macaron. I wanted to create a non-traditional colour scheme for my Christmas card.

This card was so fun to create and I just love the colours. I’ve used the Pigment Sprinkles in Gorgeous Grape onto Fluid 100 Water Color Paper. I randomly stamped the snow falling stamp (Peaceful Boughs Stamp Set) with Versamark Ink onto the Water Color Paper, sprinkled White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set the snow.

I’ve used just one of dies from Beautiful Bough Dies to create the wreath in the colours that I mentioned above. I've applied the Snowfall Accents Puff Paint and Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush onto each die cut piece before adhering to the layered Water Colour Paper with Multipurpose Glue.

The greeting is from the Peaceful Boughs Stamp Set, stamped in Versamark Ink onto a piece of Basic Black Cardstock, White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set. Then I fussy cut out the greeting with my paper snips.

I layered the Water Color Paper onto Gorgeous Grape Cardstock, added a few Noble Peacock Rhinestones in Gorgeous Grape to the wreath, made a bow in Gorgeous Grape ¼” Mini Striped Ribbon and added the greeting with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Make sure you visit our Facebook group to enter your creation, we would love to see which colour combination you choose and it’s so much fun to share too!

Stampin' Up! 2019 Holiday Catalogue Art With Heart Team Blog Hop Week 4

Hello and welcome,

I'm so excited to be back with the Heart of Christmas blog hop for week 4 and we will be sharing products from the 2019 Holiday Catalogue.

This week's card is all about Melon Mambo and Gold, using the Perfectly Plaid Bundle which comes with the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set and Coordinating Pine Tree Punch. I just love pink and gold together it just gives you that pop of fun when creating a Christmas card.

I've used the Pigment Sprinkles in Melon Mambo and the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. I've used this technique before when I created the Daisy Lane card in the same colours a few weeks ago. I've spritzed water onto a piece of Watercolor Paper, adding a few sprinkles of the Pigment Sprinkles and blending ink with the Aqua Painter. Dry it with the Heat Tool and add a few more Pigment Sprinkles.

I've used one of the tree stamps from the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set, stamped in Versamark Ink, Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. Punch out three Christmas trees with the Pine Tree Punch and place Stampin' Dimensionals on the back on the tree.

Using a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock I've spritzed water and add a little of the Melon Mambo Pigment Sprinkles onto a Clear Block. Then with a Aqua Painter lightly brush the colour onto the Cardstock and I also added a few splatter effects with the Painter too.

I've only used part of the greeting for the sentiment by covering up the words that I didn't want to use with a posted note, ink up with Versamark Ink and remove posted note before stamping onto a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock. Sprinkle Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool.

The card base is Melon Mambo Cardstock, layered with a sheet of Gold Foil, add the inked up Shimmery White Cardstock, place the three trees and snipped out greeting.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Card, Pigment Sprinkles and Free As A Bird Bundle

Hello and welcome,

Today I will be sharing with you a card that I made for a friend who just loves yellow, so had to do a yellow card but also add some purple for contrast.

The Pigment Sprinkles had to be used as I hadn’t used Daffodil Delight & Mango Melody. I just love the bright colours from the Pigment. To use the water colouring I like to place a little of the powder onto a Clear Block with a little water and mix using the Aqua Painter.
Pigment Sprinkles

The yellows for the birds, flowers, Granny Apple Green for the branch and leaves. I’ve used Free as a Bird Stamp Set and the Stitched Nested Dies.

Free As A Bird

To make the birds stand out, I’ve used Gorgeous Grape and water coloured around the stamped image of the birds.

I used a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and spritzed water onto the paper. While the paper is wet I sprinkled a few drops of Daffodil Delight Pigment Sprinkles. The colour looks amazing once I was happy on how it all turned out.

To finish off the card I’ve layered the Watercolour Paper onto Mango Melody cardbase. The greeting is from the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set, I’ve used White Emboss Powder onto Basic Black Cardstock, heat embossed and then fussy cut around the greeting.

I hope you liked my card and thank you for visiting my blog today.

Tomorrow I will be back for a new and exciting Christmas blog hop! which I can’t wait to share with you.

Stampin' Up! Pigment Sprinkles and Daisy Lane Bundle

Hello and welcome,

Today I will be sharing with you two cards that I’ve created using the Daisy Lane Bundle and Pigment Sprinkles. I just love these two products together.

I recently watch a YouTube video by Eva Dobilos who is a Canadian Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and she showed how to use the Stampin' Up! Pigment Sprinkles. I love her cards so much.

Pigment Sprinkles

Daisy Lane Bundle

My first card I used Melon Mambo from the Pigment Sprinkles, I spritzed water onto the Fluid 100 Water Color Paper and then sprinkled a little of the pigment. Not too much as the colour will be a lot brighter. To wash out the colour I used my Aqua Painter and lightly mixed the water with the pigments. Once completely dry, punch out with the Medium Daisy Punch and the larger Daisy Punch. I also used Wink Of Stella to add some sparkle.

For the water coloured background I’ve used the same colour onto a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock. Just add a little of the Pigment sprinkled onto a Clear Block, with a drop or two of water from my Aqua Painter and then add to the Cardstock.

Once dry I then added droplets of Pigment Ink onto the Cardstock as well as the Daisies. I added Gold Stampin' Powder, heat Embossed the stamped images of the leaves and greeting. Once I layered the punch out Daisies together and placed a Gold Facetted Gem to the center.

My card base is Flirty Flamingo Cardstock I think the colour goes well with Melon Mambo Pigment Sprinkles. I also added a few of the Iridescent Sequin Assortments to finish off the card.

My next card is similar but I just changed the colours by using Bermuda Bay Pigment Sprinkles, Sliver Stampin’ Emboss Powder, Coastal Cabana for the card base, a Clear Facetted Gem and a few of the Woven Threads Sequin Assortments.

Thank you for visiting my blog today and I would love to hear which card you liked? You can shop for all of these supplies in my Stampin’ Up! Store by clicking here or the above product photos.

Stampin' Up! Pigment Sprinkles Unicorn Card

Welcome to my first card using the Pigment Sprinkles and Leave a Little Sparkle Stamp Set. This card was created for my daughter who just loves Unicorns and Galaxies, I think she’s going to like it.

The Pigment Sprinkles comes in six vibrant colours, I used four of the colours – Gorgeous Grape, Bermuda, Granny Apple Green and Melon Mambo. A good tip is to cover two of the holes with Washi Tape to control less powder onto your paper or block.

Pigment Sprinkles
Leave a Little Sparkle Stamp Set

To create my galaxy background I heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder with the tiny stars stamp which is from the Little Twinkle Stamp Set onto a piece of Watercolor Paper. Then the fun begins with first using your Stampin’ Spritzer spray water lightly onto the Watercolor paper and then add a little of the four colours until you are happy. I then used my Aqua Painter to mix the colours together.

While the galaxy card piece was drying, I started on my unicorn using a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock I stamped the unicorn image in Versmark and sprinkled Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I also did this for the sentiment as well. The unicorn was coloured in with Pigment Sprinkles using Melon Mambo, Gorgeous Grape and Bermuda Bay. To add a little sparkle, I used Wink of Stella and coloured in the unicorn.

In another Stampin’ Spritzer I put Rubbing Alcohol and a couple of drops of Frost White Shimmer Paint and spritzed onto Gorgeous Grape card base. I also did this with a piece of Bermuda Bay and the dried galaxy panel. To finish off my card I placed the pieces of Cardstock together to my liking, adhered the unicorn and added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the backing of the sentiment.

Thank you for coming along and seeing my card today. I’ve already created more cards using the Pigment Sprinkles and I’ll be sharing them with you very soon.

Happy Crafting,

Vicki Boucher
