Hello and welcome

Tonight I'll be sharing with you Week 7 of Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team in Australia. 

Each week there will be a Colour Creations blog hop showcasing Stampin' Up! Colors with a selection of members from the Art With Heart Team who will be joining in. I'm looking forward to seeing their beautiful projects using the Stampin' Up! Colors. You'll be able to hop around by clicking on the next link at the end of my blog.

The colour for tonight is Bumblebee which is part of the In Color Collection for 2020 - 2022 and comes in a number of different mediums such as Ink, Cardstock, DSP etc....I've used Bumblebee with Basic White, Basic Black and Gold for my two handmade cards.

I have to confess that I only created these two cards this morning and I had no idea what I was going to create until I saw the striped Gold and White paper from the Expressions in Ink Designer Series Paper looking at me. I just had to use the Artistically Inked Bundle to go with the paper.

It's a cold wet day here in Melbourne and Bumblebee is the perfect colour to brighten up someone's day! For my first card I've used Shimmery White Cardstock, die cut out using the larger flower and leaves detailed die from the Artistic Dies. 

Then using a Water Painter I used the wide brush tip and applied Bumblebee Ink to the image. I also added another smaller section from the detailed die to the card.

I used a panel of Vellum to dull down the bold Gold and White paper leaving some exposed either side. The sentiment is stamped in Bumblebee Ink on a strip of Basic White Cardstock, layered over Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon.

As I still had lots of ideas in my head, I decided to create another card using a side strip of the Gold and White paper. This time I created water colour effect on watercolor paper. 

First I added water with the wide brush tip adding Bumblebee Ink and then I started blowing it with an ear syringe making the ink going in different directions. I would also dry the ink with the Heat Tool and then repeat the process. I've splattered Black Ink using the dark Stampin' Blend brush tip against the lid.

I've used Black/White Baker's Twine from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack. I always love adding black and white to my projects when it comes to using any of the yellows from Stampin' Up! 

The sentiment in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock and layered over a strip of Basic Black Cardstock. I could of even made another card but time was running out for me.

Creation Station "Tool Time" September Blog Hop

Welcome to the latest Creation Station blog hop for the month of September, the theme for this month is to focus on a particular tool from Stampin' Up! 

I just couldn't choose on one particular tool for my Daisy and Plaid Tidings project, I ended up using a few of them.

To create the Daisy, I started off with a sheet of Watercolor Paper, Magenta Madness Ink, Stampin' Spritzer and Water Painters. I've spritzed water using the Stampin' Spritzer onto the Watercolor Paper and then I applied Ink with the large flat brush onto the paper. I like to create different shading with the ink, once it's dry I then added splatter and droplets of ink. This gives a interesting look for my Daisy. 

Once the ink is dry on the Watercolor Paper, I then punched out using both Daisy Punches, 3 of the Medium Daisy Punch and 3 of the large Daisy Punch.

I've used the Bone Folder by curling each of the Daisy petals. The other tool I've used is the Take Your Pick Tool which is a multipurpose tool for many different uses. I've used the large stylus which is part of a changeable double-ended tips, also included is the paper piercer, mini spatula and small stylus. 

I've used the large stylus and Pierce Mat to create circle motions in the center of the flower. Once the punched out Daisies are adhere with Glue Dots, for the center piece I used Bumblebee Enamel Dots.

The additional Stampin' Up! products are Plaid Tidings 6"x 6" DSP, Bumblebee Cardstock for the card base, Bumblebee Ribbon, a Good Hoop and the In Good Taste Elements.

The sentiment is from the Best Year Stamp Set in Memento Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock.

Week 6 Art With Heart Colour Creations Weekly Showcase Bumble Bee

Hello to all the lovely stampers out there! Welcome to Week 6 with the Art With Heart Colour Creations weekly Showcase. Which the lovely Catherine Proctor is running our weekly blog and with a selection of other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from the Art With Heart Team. 

This week we are featuring Bumblebee and I hope we will inspire you with our creations of this bright happy colour.

Bumblebee is one of the new In Colors for 2020-2022 and is from the In Color Collection. Bumblebee comes in a range of Stampin' Up! products such as the Classic Stampin' Pad, Cardstock, DSP and more. 

The inspiration for my card was the striped DSP from the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper, I just love the brightness & happiness of this paper! The colours in the DSP are Bumblebee, Magenta Madness and Poppy Parade. I've also used these bold colours, but a softer tone for my Watercolor Sunflower and leaves. The good thing with the Watercolor paper is you can add lots of water and ink to the paper. Using Whisper White Cardstock for the sunflower & leaves dies and Gold Foil for the smaller leaf sprigs dies.

The long scolloped die from the Peony Dies, is stunning in Gold Foil and I've placed the strip alongside the DSP. The layer underneath is a wash of Bumblebee Ink, using the wide bristle brush from the Water Painters and I've inked up the Shimmery White Cardstock. It's amazing how light Bumblebee ink can be.

Before adding the Sunflower and leaves, I've placed a strip of Magenta Madness Ribbon under the strip of Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon, they go so nicely together and adding a Gold Trim Bow was a must! 

To finish, I added three of the Bumblebee 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots. They are so cute!
