Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI109

 Hello and welcome,

It's the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI109 and this photo was chosen by Colour INKspiration Crew Member, Lou Kitzelman. It's a stunning photo and I love the colours for this latest challenge.

The colour combination for #CI109 is Crushed Curry, Pool Party, Cinnamon Cider and Early Espresso. As well as the chosen colours you may also add Basic White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory' and 'Bronze' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Daffodil Delight instead of Crushed Curry .... you get the drift).

The challenge will run for almost 2 weeks until 7pm (AEST) on Monday 25th October 2021 details to follow at the end of my blog.

For my card I've created a thank you slimline card using the Celebrate Sunflowers, Quiet Meadow and Sweet Strawberry Stamp Set. I came across a beautiful Delicate Dahlias card on Pinterest by Ruth Trice - Artful Stampin. I love her creations and how she uses images of the stamps together to make a one sheet wonder and then cut into cards. I thought this colour palette was perfect for something like this.

Starting with Basic White Cardstock for the slimline panel, I started with the largest Sunflower stamp from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set and stamped the image using Crushed Curry ink. Next I used Cinnamon Cider ink for the smaller Sunflowers and Early Espresso for the leaves.

I love the stamp images from the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set, I've used the larger single flower in Pool Party Ink and stamped over part of the Sunflower using the masking technique with a sticky posted note. This gives the impression of the Pool Party flower is behind the Sunflower.

Also in the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set there are two smaller flower images, I've stamped them in Pool Party, Crushed Curry and Cinnamon Cider Ink. I've used a flower image from the Sweet Strawberry Stamp Set and stamped in Pool Party Ink.

As you can see there are lots of fine splatter dots on the card. To create this effect I've used the brush tip from the Stampin' Write Markers in Pool Party, Early Espresso, Crushed Curry and flick ink against the lid. I also used Cinnamon Cider in the Stampin' Blends and used the same technique.

Using the Sunflower Dies for the die-cuts, I've either used Pattern Party Designer Series Paper or coloured cardstock and added ink with the Blending Brush. The black and white gingham DSP is from the Pattern Party DSP layered under the greeting which is from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set. The card base is in Crushed Curry.

I hope you can participate in this latest round and as we so look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is new and made specially for this challenge.

Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI109 will run until 7pm (ADET) on Monday 25th October 2021.

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Celebrate

Hello and welcome,

It's Stamping 2nd Sunday latest blog hop for September, hosted by Sara Levin and for this month the design team will be showcasing the theme 'Celebrate' in our projects. The list of participants will be at the end of this blog.

Today's projects are two handmade cards using Stampin' Up! products from the Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration August - September 2021 and Annual 2021 - 2022 Catalogues. I've created a casual card and avid card using the Delicate Dahlias Stamp Set which is a Saleabration product and is available until the end of this month or unless sold out.

Casual Crafter

I've used Create with Friends Stamp Set, the elegant font has many possibilities for sentiments and combined with the Delicate Dahlias Stamp Set is the perfect match for my casual card.

I've started with Basic White Cardstock for the background panel, stamping the smaller flower multiple times in Magenta Madness and Mango Melody Ink.

I also stamped the flower and leaves images onto Basic White Cardstock and fussy cut out to arrange on the panel. Before I layered the pieces down I added Magenta Madness ombre ribbon, using White Faux Linen Ribbon and applied ink with the Blending Brush. I cased this idea off Tami Hewlett, she made a beautiful Night of Navy ombre ribbon awhile ago and I loved this idea.

The greeting is layered over the stamped images using Stampin' Dimensionals and the card base is Magenta Madness Cardstock.

Avid Crafter

For my second card I've used the Delicate Dahlias Stamp Set with a number of different products. The large Dahlia is stamped in Mango Melody Ink this was my starting point and I wanted it to pop against the other colours and papers.

I've stamped the smaller flower stamp in Mango Melody a number times onto Basic White Cardstock panel and I've lightly added ink in the same colour using the Blending Brush.

I've used a strip of the Harvest Meadow DSP in Bumblebee and a strip of Black & White Gingham paper from the Pattern Party DSP

The yellow polka dot embossed tag die adds more texture and I just had to add the Black & White Gingham Ribbon to the tag.

The sentiment is from Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set using White Emboss Powder on Basic Black Cardstock and fussy cut out. I always love to add lots layers and different elements when it comes to card making.

Your Creative Connection #YCC114 Shades of Black and White

Hello and welcome to another creative showcase with Your Creative Connection, let us take you around the world on a Global hop with other Demonstrators. I hope we will inspire you with our creations.

This week our theme is "Shades of Black and White" using these colours and shades of grey in between showcasing in your project. It's been awhile since I've created something like this and I couldn't go past the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle which was the perfect choice.

The large stamp image using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink for the Sunflower is so striking with the detail and shading. The Basic Black Sunflowers Dies add another depth and layering to the card. I like to use Stampin' Dimensionals to make the Sunflower pop! The leaves are offset from one another so you can see the many layers.

I've used the splatter stamp from the Painted Poppies Stamp Set, stamped it in Memento Ink a number of times to the panel of Whisper White Cardstock. I really love this stamp and it's so much fun to use in your projects.

To finish off  the card, I've placed the greeting over a strip of Basic Black Cardstock. The card base is Whisper White with a panel of Basic Black Cardstock.

Now it's time to visit the lovely Dawn Olchefske in Minneapolis, USA and see her beautiful project.

Colour INKspiration Challenge #82 - Celebrate Sunflowers

Hello and welcome to our latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #82 and this gorgeous photo was chosen by the lovely Colour INKspiration crew member, Cathy Pinchbeck..

The colours for this challenge are Just Jade, Melon Mambo, Whisper White and Basic Black for our inspiration to use in our projects. I just love the combination of these colours together. You can also add Crumb Cake and metallics. We also allow 'Ivory' and 'Bronze' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all of the closet Stampin' Up! colours, feel free to use a substitute i.e. Magenta Madness instead of Melon Mambo....you get the drift.

The #CI82 challenge runs for almost 3 weeks and will end at 7pm (AEST) on 10th August 2020. I hope you’ll enter into the Colour INKspiration Challenge we would so love to see your creation. More details below.

For my creation I have chosen to use the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle which is on page 13 of the Stampin' Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue.

I've actually cased the card in the photo of the Catalogue, using the Magenta Madness In Color 2020-2022 6"x 6" DSP, the largest Stitched So Sweetly Die in Whisper White and just for something a little bit different I've used Magenta Madness for the Sunflower. The layers are a watercolor wash onto watercolor paper and Magenta Madness Cardstock.

The leaves are in Just Jade, using a watercolor wash and Cardstock. I just love the Sunflower Dies there is so much detail to them and I've added a couple of black sprigs in Basic Black Cardstock.

The sentiment is embossed in White Stampin' Emboss Powder, heat set with the Heat Tool and fussy cut out. I just had to add  to my card the Black/White Baker's Twine which is from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack.

Make sure you come and visit our Facebook group to enter the competition, we would so love to see how you would use these colours.

Click here at Colour INKspiration Facebook group to take part and upload the photo of your creation. You don’t need a blog to enter either. Share with your crafty friends, so they can join in with the challenges too.

Week 6 Art With Heart Colour Creations Weekly Showcase Bumble Bee

Hello to all the lovely stampers out there! Welcome to Week 6 with the Art With Heart Colour Creations weekly Showcase. Which the lovely Catherine Proctor is running our weekly blog and with a selection of other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from the Art With Heart Team.

This week we are featuring Bumblebee and I hope we will inspire you with our creations of this bright happy colour.

Bumblebee is one of the new In Colors for 2020-2022 and is from the In Color Collection. Bumblebee comes in a range of Stampin' Up! products such as the Classic Stampin' Pad, Cardstock, DSP and more.

The inspiration for my card was the striped DSP from the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper, I just love the brightness & happiness of this paper! The colours in the DSP are Bumblebee, Magenta Madness and Poppy Parade. I've also used these bold colours, but a softer tone for my Watercolor Sunflower and leaves. The good thing with the Watercolor paper is you can add lots of water and ink to the paper. Using Whisper White Cardstock for the sunflower & leaves dies and Gold Foil for the smaller leaf sprigs dies.

The long scolloped die from the Peony Dies, is stunning in Gold Foil and I've placed the strip alongside the DSP. The layer underneath is a wash of Bumblebee Ink, using the wide bristle brush from the Water Painters and I've inked up the Shimmery White Cardstock. It's amazing how light Bumblebee ink can be.

Before adding the Sunflower and leaves, I've placed a strip of Magenta Madness Ribbon under the strip of Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon, they go so nicely together and adding a Gold Trim Bow was a must!

To finish, I added three of the Bumblebee 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots. They are so cute!

Please visit Catherine's Blog to see her creation and all the links are there as well, so you’ll be able to see everyone’s creations for this week’s showcase.

Week 4 Art With Heart Colour Creations Weekly Showcase Blackberry Bliss

Hello to all the lovely stampers out there! Welcome to Week 4 with the Art With Heart Colour Creations weekly Showcase which the lovely Catherine Proctor will be running a weekly blog and with other members from the Art With Heart Team. This week we are featuring Blackberry Bliss and I hope we will inspire you with our variations of this gorgeous colour.

Blackberry Bliss is from the Regals Collection and comes in a range of Stampin' Up! products from the Classic Stampin' Pad, Cardstock, Stampin' Blends, DSP and more. Even Rainbow Glimmer Paper which I might have to purchase on my next order.

I really struggled with this colour, because I only realised that I hardly had any Cardstock left in this colour. I had only scraps and this card front, but I was determined to create something. Blackberry Bliss is a gorgeous rich colour and I wanted to combined it with other bright colours for my sunflower.

The Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle is just right for these bright bold colours, I've stamped the image in Stazon Jet Black Ink onto Watercolor Paper and watercoloured the image with the Water Painters. Blending the following colours together are starting with Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, Poppy Parade and a new In Color Bumble Bee. I continued to add colour until I was happy with the application. The leaves from the stamp set are also in the same colours.

The images from the Sunflower Dies, die cut out the stamped images, but they also have a few extra dies which can add another dimension to your sunflowers and leaves. This can give you a completely different look to your creations. I really love the black paper against the bright colours and it almost looks like Etch Art.

The white square panel under the Sunflower is a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and with a Sponge Dauber I've applied Blackberry Bliss Ink onto the Cardstock. I like to start in the center and work my way out in a circle motion.

I've randomly stamped the leaf image a number of times using Blackberry Bliss Ink onto the panel of Blackberry Bliss Cardstock and then I ran the panel through the die cutting machine with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. The panel is layered over Thick Whisper White card base.

The sentiment is heat embossed, using Versmark Ink, White Stampin' Emboss Powder onto Basic Black Cardstock and fussy cut around the sentiment. I've added a Gold metallic bow to finish off the card.

Please visit Catherine's Blog to see her creation and all the links are there as well, so you’ll be able to see everyone’s creations for this week’s showcase.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, I hope you’ve enjoyed how I’ve used  Blackberry Bliss. Make sure you come back next week to see Bushing Bride in our projects.

Social Stamping Blog Host - New (Normal)

Welcome to the latest Social Stamping Bog Host, this week we will be sharing our creations with the theme New (Normal). Thank you to Kelly Kent for organizing another amazing blog hop and with all these amazing women. Make sure you check out everyone’s blog to see their new creations.

The theme being New well I just couldn’t go past the idea of new Stampin' Up! products which I recently received in my pre-order from the new Stampin’ Up! 2020 – 2021 Annual Catalogue. The project I’m going to show you is the new Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle. It wasn’t on my wish list at the start of seeing the Catalogue, but after seeing so many beautiful Sunflowers on Social Media. I just had to get this beautiful bundle and colour in the Sunflower with the Stampin’ Blends.

I’ve stamped the flower image in Mango Melody Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and for the leaves are stamped in Mossy Meadow Ink.

The list of Stampin’ Blends for the flower – Mango Melody L&D, Daffodil Delight L&D, Pumpkin Pie L&D, Soft Suede L&D, Bronze and Mossy Meadow L&D. The leaves are in – Mossy Meadow L&D and Old Olive L&D. My craft desk was covered in Stampin’ Blends and it was so much fun colouring in and blending the colours together.

I wanted the flower to pop, so I used the dark wood panel of Early Espresso from the In Good Taste DSP and layered over the Early Espresso Cardstock card base.

The sentiment is from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set, using White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and sealed with the Heat Tool. I’ve layered the strip of Basic Black Cardstock over a thin strip of Bumble Bee DSP, I really like the look of the new designs for the In Color 6”x6” DSP 2020-2022.

To finish off the card, I’ve added a pressed wood leaf from the In Good Taste Elements and Linen Thread bow.

Make sure you see everyone’s creative projects with the New theme in our latest Social Stamping Blog Host.
