Creation Station Blog Hop - It's the Season for Flowers

Hello and welcome, if you have come from the talented Jeanna Kay in the USA or you may of started with me from Australia. Please make sure you hope around and see everyone's projects. I'll pop a link at the end of my blog....

The design team at Creation Station are presenting their projects with the theme "Season" as we all live around the world and we all have different seasons. I'm in Melbourne and it's Spring time here with beautiful flowers blooming, birds singing and the days are getting warmer, but sometimes Melbourne can have all four seasons in one day!

I've created a water colour card, gift tag and gift bag for my project using the Quiet Meadow Bundle which is in the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue 2021 to 2022. I love this bundle so much! The beautiful stamped images of flowers, background patterns and greetings are perfect for paper crafting. The images of the Meadow Dies create beautiful wild flowers and they are perfect for water colouring.

Starting with the card, using Watercolor Paper for the watercolour wash in So Saffron and Polished Pink Ink using the large brush Water Painter and lots of water. I also like to flick some ink onto the Watercolor panel and stamp the greeting in So Saffron ink.

The detailed flower Dies are also in Watercolor Paper, die cut out with the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. I applied different coloured inks to each of the flowers and stems. The colours are Polished Pink, So Saffron, Balmy Blue, Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Fresh Freesia, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sea Foam and Shaded Spruce.

The greeting is in Fresh Freesia Ink onto Basic White Cardstock and die-cut out using the detailed stitched label Die. I also added three of the Loose Flower Flourishes Embellishments and White Baker's Twine.

I've created a gift tag to go with the Fresh Freesia Ombre Gift Bag, using the Tailor Made Tags Dies in different sizes.

The smaller tag for the greeting, the second smallest for the Ombre tag in Fresh Freesia and the largest tag for the stamped images from the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set.

The Ombre Gift Bags comes in a set of 20 bags 4 each of the 5 In Colors 2021 - 2023 and they are food safe. I've stamped the large flower image in Fresh Freesia Ink and the beautiful sentiment 'Heartfelt love and caring thoughts are with you' a number of times onto the gift bag.

Now it's time to visit the lovely Sara Nell Langland to see her amazing creations and visit her blog. I'm looking forward to reading all about her project and I'm sure you will too.

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Celebrate

Hello and welcome,

It's Stamping 2nd Sunday latest blog hop for September, hosted by Sara Levin and for this month the design team will be showcasing the theme 'Celebrate' in our projects. The list of participants will be at the end of this blog.

Today's projects are two handmade cards using Stampin' Up! products from the Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration August - September 2021 and Annual 2021 - 2022 Catalogues. I've created a casual card and avid card using the Delicate Dahlias Stamp Set which is a Saleabration product and is available until the end of this month or unless sold out.

Casual Crafter

I've used Create with Friends Stamp Set, the elegant font has many possibilities for sentiments and combined with the Delicate Dahlias Stamp Set is the perfect match for my casual card.

I've started with Basic White Cardstock for the background panel, stamping the smaller flower multiple times in Magenta Madness and Mango Melody Ink.

I also stamped the flower and leaves images onto Basic White Cardstock and fussy cut out to arrange on the panel. Before I layered the pieces down I added Magenta Madness ombre ribbon, using White Faux Linen Ribbon and applied ink with the Blending Brush. I cased this idea off Tami Hewlett, she made a beautiful Night of Navy ombre ribbon awhile ago and I loved this idea.

The greeting is layered over the stamped images using Stampin' Dimensionals and the card base is Magenta Madness Cardstock.

Avid Crafter

For my second card I've used the Delicate Dahlias Stamp Set with a number of different products. The large Dahlia is stamped in Mango Melody Ink this was my starting point and I wanted it to pop against the other colours and papers.

I've stamped the smaller flower stamp in Mango Melody a number times onto Basic White Cardstock panel and I've lightly added ink in the same colour using the Blending Brush.

I've used a strip of the Harvest Meadow DSP in Bumblebee and a strip of Black & White Gingham paper from the Pattern Party DSP

The yellow polka dot embossed tag die adds more texture and I just had to add the Black & White Gingham Ribbon to the tag.

The sentiment is from Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set using White Emboss Powder on Basic Black Cardstock and fussy cut out. I always love to add lots layers and different elements when it comes to card making.

Artistically Inked Bundle - Masculine Card

 Hello and welcome,

I really like to create masculine cards and sometimes I just don't seem to make enough of them. It was my hubby's birthday yesterday and I always love to create him a special card. I just received my Stampin' Up! order from the new Annual Catalogue for 2021 - 2022 and of course I ordered the Artistically Inked Bundle. Everything in this suite is so beautiful!

Over on Stampin' Fancy Friday Facebook page and Instagram Page it's Manly May - masculine card challenge for the month of May. I'm loving their ideas and especially Martin's Mayham Stitched Stars card the combination of blues, yellow, grey and white is a great colour combo.

The colours I've used are Night of Navy for the card base and tone on tone panel. I've stamped the watercolour stamp images in Night of Navy Ink onto the panel randomly. This gives a nice background for my card.

To create the detailed leaves dies I've used the Blending Brushes with Basic White Cardstock, I applied lightly using Night of Navy Ink to the cardstock and splattered Night of Navy Ink using the light Stampin' Blend. I did the same for the yellow leaves this time using Bumblebee Ink and Daffodil Delight dark Stampin' Blend. I really like the tones of Bumblebee against Night of Navy.

The stitched circle swirl is from the Painted Labels Dies, I've added Night of Navy Ink with the Blending Brush to Basic White Cardstock and stamped the watercolour image in Misty Moonlight Ink onto the die cut piece.

The sentiment is from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set, I've stamped Bumblebee Ink onto a strip of Basic White Cardstock and then a strip of Night of Navy Cardstock, heat embossed using Versamark Ink, White Stampin' Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool.

To finish off the card I've added Daffodil Delight Ice Cream Corner Sprinkles. Here's to making more of masculine cards! That's my challenge.

Heart of Christmas 2020 - October by the Art With Heart Team Australia

Hello and welcome,

Tonight the Art With Heart Team will be showcasing their Christmas projects with you for the month of October. The lovely Judy May is the host for our monthly hop, so make sure you click on her name at the end of this blog.

For my project I've created a slimline card they are on trend at the moment and I just had to try it for my self. I finally used the Gnome for the Holidays Stamp Set I've had this set for a while now and I couldn't wait to create something with this set. You can find this stamp set on page 23 of the Stampin' Up! August - December 2020 Mini Catalogue. I love the Gnomes and colouring them in was fun too!

I cased Artisan designer Stesha Bloodhart's slimline Gnome card, she creates amazing cards and I really liked how she used the Stampin' Blends when colouring in the Gnomes.

The colours in the Snowflake Splendor DSP was perfect for my Christmas card and it's currently on sale with 15% off for the month of October 2020. To find out more you can contact me or visit my online store.

Snowflake Splendor DSP

Ink up the Gnomes in Memento Ink onto Whisper White cardstock, colour in with the Stampin' Blends using the following colours light & dark Balmy Blue, Purple Posy, Highland Heather, Misty Moonlight, Night of Navy, Smoky Slate and the Color Lifter.

To make the slimline card start with Thick Whisper White Cardstock, cut 20cm x 22cm score at 10cm. I've used the Snow Flake Splendor DSP the colours are so beautiful and cool. The snowflake DSP cut at 9.5cm x 21cm sets the seen for the background.

Next I used Whisper White Cardstock, 9cm x 20.5cm. Using the Layering Circles Dies, die cut three circles all the same size. I added a circle frame for each of the die cut circles and coloured them in with the Stampin' Blends.

Adding soft snow for each of the Gnomes to stand on, I've used Whisper White Cardstock and the Pine Woods Dies. Adding sponging to the edge with the Sponge Dauber and Balmy Blue Ink.

I also added a few different elements to the card like the inked up tree from the Pine Wood Dies and the softly sponged Jingle Bell from the Sounds of the Season Dies. To finish off the card I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy onto a strip of Whisper White Cardstock and added a snowflake from the So Many Snowflakes Dies.

Now it's time to visit Judy May's blog and the rest of the participants for this month's Heart of Christmas Showcase.
