Colour INKspiration Challenge #91

 Hello and welcome,

It's been awhile since I last have written up a blog and I wanted to share with you the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge which has been running for the last couple of weeks. I've been so busy with the the lead up to Christmas with our family hamper business and now that Christmas is over I can relax and get back into the craft room.

The inspiration for the challenge is this fun and colourful photo chosen by crew member Lou Kitzelman.

Choose at least three of the colours from this amazing colour palette. The colours for #CI91 are Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay, Pretty Peacock, Magenta Madness, Gorgeous Grape and Glitter, you may also add Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand, Basic Black and metallicsto your project. We also allow 'Ivory' and 'Bronze' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Pumpkin Pie instead of Mango Melody .... you get the drift).

The colours I've chosen are Magenta Madness, Bermuda Bay, Granny Apple Green and Whisper White for my project. I've used some new Stampin' Up! products from the new January to June 2021 Mini Catalogue and Saleabration Jan to Feb 2021 Catalogue.

The Salebration FREE product is the Oh so Ombre DSP, by spending $90 in Stampin' Up! products this is yours for free! The colours in the DSP are Bermuda Bay, Granny Apple Green, Rococo Rose and Blackberry Bliss. I've cut strips in different lengths and layered them on a sheet of Whisper White Cardstock. I've just love the Ombre look.

Adding Magenta Madness as my third colour was perfect balance with the cool colours. Using the new Blending Brush with Magenta Madness Ink and slowly adding colour onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock. I would add more colour as I go and until I was happy with the Ombre look.

The Floral Gallery Dies are on page 34 of the Jan to June Mini Catalogue and the words Just Want to Say Dies was perfect for the card. Layering them onto Stitched Nested Labels in Whisper White Cardstock. The floral stamped images are from the Art Gallery Stamp Set they are stamped in Bermuda Bay and Magenta Madness and die cut out.

The Art Gallery Stamp Set has lots of different greetings and I've chosen I Miss You! Using Stampin' Dimensionals for more depth to finish off my project.

We hope you can participate this round and we look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is new and made specially for this challenge.

#CI91 will run until 7pm (ADET) on Monday January 11th.

Please click on the link here to join on the challenge.

Just a reminder to upload your challenge pics straight to the discussion wall and not in an album.

Happy Stamping!

Creation Station December blog hop - Ice Ice Baby

Hello and welcome,

Today's theme for the Creation Station Design Team is anything sparkles and shines. For my project I've created a Happy New Year's slimline card. I think we all need a shiny new start to the year and say goodbye to 2020.

Using the gorgeous Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper which provides lots of glimmer and shine. I've used the paper through out by die cutting three snow flakes from the So Many Snowflakes Dies and as a backing sheet for the Playful Alphabet Dies.

Using a panel of Whisper White Cardstock for the Alphabet Dies, laying them out straight using a ruler and grid paper. Starting off  at the bottom and working my way up. Once happy with the layout, I used washi tape to secure the letters and numbers.

I've added extra shine onto the card with Clear Wink of Stella by tapping the pen against the lid which gives a nice sparkle. To finish off I've placed five of the glittery faceted Balmy Blue Gems which is a perfect match with the Glimmer Paper.

Well that's it for me today. I'm so looking forward to seeing all of the Design Team's creativity, so make sure you complete the hop. Next up is the lovely Denita who is also from Australia, click on the link below to see her project.

Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year for 2021

Colour INKspiration Challenge #90

Hello and welcome,

Today’s Colour INKspiration Challenge #90 is using these beautiful colours – Daffodil Delight, Petal Pink, Pool Party, Coastal Cabana and Pretty Peacock. They are such a fun colour combo and I just had to recreate the scene into a Christmas Card. The photo for our challenge is just gorgeous!

We hope you'll join in on the challenge too! More details below and here is my project.

I've used Coming Home and Peace & Joy Bundle which is perfect for a slimline card. You may of noticed a new Stampin' Up! product in the above photo they are the new Blending Brushes, you receive 3 of them in the packet and they make blending ink on Cardstock so easy.

As you can see above I've started off with Pool Party, Coastal Cabana and finished off with Pretty Peacock Ink using the same brush. I'm so happy with them and they will be available in the new Stampin' Up! January to June 2021 Mini Catalogue.

I've inked up the images in the challenge colours and used the Stampin' Blends in Daffodil Delight, Petal Pink, Pool Party, Pretty Peacock and Color Lifter to blend in the colours.

To create the trees I've used the cute polka dot DSP in Petal Pink, Pool Party, Costal Cabana, Pretty Peacock and die cut them out.

Using the snow slope die from the Home Together Dies, I've created layers of snow using Whisper White Cardstock and applied ink using the Blending Brushes.

To finish off the card, I've die cut out the Peace image from the Joy Dies in Whisper White Cardstock and stamped the sentiment in Pretty Peacock Ink. The Pretty Peacock sequins add a little twinkle to the sky.

Colour INKspiration Challenge #89

Hello and welcome,

Today’s Colour INKspiration Challenge #89 is using these beautiful colours – Just Jade, Shaded Spruce, Poppy Parade and Gray Granite. Such a fun colour combo and it's perfect for a Christmas Card. The photo for our challenge is just gorgeous!

We hope you'll join in on the challenge too! More details below.

I've used Coming Home Bundle with lots of different Stitched Dies. Can you count how many different ones I've used? I'll let you know at the end of my blog.

The stamped images are in Memento Ink, using the Stampin' Blends with the challenge colours as I don't have Gray Granite I've used Smoky Slate instead.

The Festive Felt Sheets come in a combo pack in the latest Stampin' Up! August - December 2020 Mini Catalogue and I used Just Jude. I cased Melody Hyde's card who recently created a card using the Festive Felt with Embossing Paste and polka dot Decorative Mask.

I love a gift tag and my all time favourite tag is from the North Pole Wonder Dies. This one is in Poppy Parade DSP which is from the Trimming the Town DSP which is layered over the Stitched Star.

The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings and is stamped in Shaded Spruce. The greeting fits perfectly in the Tasteful Labels Dies.

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Gold Laser Cut Paper

Hello and welcome to Stamping Sunday Blog Hop the Design Team will be showcasing off the gorgeous Gold Laser Cut Paper in our projects. The Gold Laser Paper is in the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue for 2020 - 2021.

We could either choose to create a beginner, casual and avid card or a card and 3D project. I will be showcasing three cards and I've incorporated the Gold Paper with Whisper White into Christmas cards.

Beginner:

For my first card I've used the stunning Gold Foil text on white paper from the Wonder of the Season Specialty Designer Series Paper, combined with Home Together and Joy Dies. I love the cute little house sitting in the Gold Laser branch and gold bow.

Casual:

For my second card I've used the Gold wreath with the little house in white this time and gold heart. The white flowers are from the In the Tropics Dies and I've added Gilded Gems for the center piece of each flower. The panel of Whisper White Cardstock is embossed with the Winter Snow embossing Folder. For the sentiment I've added the White Foam Adhesive under the Gold Foil die cut image.

Avid:

For my last card I've created a shaker card using the Snow Globe Scenes to create a little wonderland using the Home Together Dies and Snowflake Sequins. I've used many layers for this card using the Gold Foil, Whisper White Cardstock and the Gold Laser Cut Paper.

Make sure you click on the below links to see all the other designers. I can't wait to see their creations and how they've used the Gold Laser Cut Paper in their projects.

Week 23 Art With Heart Colour Creations Weekly Showcase Magenta Madness

Hello and welcome to Week 23 with the Art With Heart Colour Creations Weekly Showcase. Which the lovely Catherine Proctor is running our weekly blog and with a selection of other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from the Art With Heart Team.

This week we are featuring Magenta Madness in our projects. I love how bright and vibrant this colour is and it's fun to use when it comes to card making. Magenta Madness is part of the 2020-2021 In Color Collections and comes in a range of Stampin' Up! products such as the Classic Stampin' Pad, Cardstock, Stampin' Blends and more.

Magenta Madness

For my slimline card I've combined the Coming Home Bundle and the Peace & Joy Bundle. Both are in the Stampin' Up! August - December 2020 Mini Catalogue and are available for purchase in my online store.

The stamped images are in Memento Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and die cut out. I've coloured in the houses and trees in the following Stampin' Blends - Magenta Madness, Purple Posy, Highland Heather, Balmy Blue, Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate and Color Lifter.

The white snow layers are lightly sponged with the Sponge Daubers using the following Inks - Magenta Madness, Gorgeous Grape, Daffodil Delight, Balmy Blue and Night of Navy.

I have sponged coloured ink with Sponge Daubers onto the panel of Whisper White Cardstock to create a bright sunset sky. Starting with Daffodil Delight blending into Magenta Madness and then Gorgeous Grape. I like to go over and blend in the colours together.

Using the fine tip Water Painter, I flick water droplets onto the coloured cardstock giving it a starry night.

The Peace & Joy Bundle is perfect for this card and I've used the Bright die in Thick Whisper White Cardstock. The stamp set has a range of smaller words to create your own greetings.

I forgot one thing with this card. Can anyone see what I've left out? I can still add it on but it was too late and I had already taken photos of the card.

Thank you for visiting my blog with the Colour Creations Weekly Showcase and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's projects.

#TGIFC288 Designer Take Over

Hello and welcome,

I've decided to enter my project in the latest TGIF Challenge the theme for this week is Going In Circles which was chosen by designer Tammy Wilson.

I've created a baby card for our family hamper business YV Hampers for a customer and the Wildly Happy Stamp Set with the cute bunnies was perfect. I've used watercolor pencils in Basic Gray, Melon Mambo and used Wink of Stella for added sparkle.

The three stitched circles from the Stitched Shapes Dies are in Vellum, Purple Posy and Whisper White. I've sponged Highland Heather Ink with the Sponge Dauber onto the Whisper White circle and then added the bunnies.

Purple Posy is such a pretty colour, I've used the cute polka dot 6" x 6" DSP with a distressed look around the edges and a panel in the script writing 6" x 6" DSP.

I've used the Make a Difference Stamp Set and created my own sentiment in Black Memento Ink onto a strip of Whisper White Cardstock. Adding a little more black and white, I've used the Black & White Bakers Twine wrapped around the DSP and into a bow.

The final touch for a few more circles are the Purple Posy Sequins from the Woven Sequin Assortment.

Thank you for visiting my blog today and to see all of the amazing projects from the designers at TGIF Challenge click here.
