Week 12 Art With Heart Colour Creations Weekly Showcase Crumb Cake

Hello and welcome to Week 12 with the Art With Heart Colour Creations Weekly Showcase. Which the lovely Catherine Proctor is running our weekly blog and with a selection of other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from the Art With Heart Team.

Crumb Cake

This week we are featuring Crumb Cake in our projects. Crumb Cake is part of the Neutrals Collection and comes in a range of Stampin' Up! products such as the Classic Stampin' Pad, Cardstock, DSP and more.

Today's card is a vinatge style card, using one of my favourite and versatile Stampin' Up! Colours - Crumb Cake. I've used the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set which is in the Annual Stampin' Up! 2020 - 2021 Catalogue. The flowers are stamped in Crumb Cake Ink and coloured in with the Stampin' Blends using Crumb Cake.

I've used the tag die from the North Pole Wonders Dies which is new and is from the August - December 2020 Mini Catalogue. This particular die is just perfect for a vintage card and works well with the Very Versailles script stamp. I've sponged the edges of the tag in Crumb Cake Ink.

There are a number of layers to the card, using the following Designer Series Paper - In Good Taste DSP and Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP.

To give them an old vintage look, I've used the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder and Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, ruffing up the edges was fun by using the Paper Snips and sponging Crumb Cake and Early Espresso Ink. As the DSP is thinner than Cardstock, it was easier to rip and tear up the paper.

The Gilded Autumn DSP has elegant designs in earthy colours and peaking through on the other side is gold or copper foil. Just adding enough pop of colour to my project. The Champagne Rhinestones reflect the metallic in the DSP and add some bling.

Adding a few more items to the card are the In Good Taste Elements, Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim and Braided Linen Trim. The sentiment is from the Best Year Stamp Set.

Please visit Catherine's blog to see her creation and all the links are there as well, so you’ll be able to see everyone’s creations for this week’s showcase.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, I hope you’ve enjoyed how I’ve used Crumb Cake and make sure you come back next week to see the colour Crushed Curry in our projects.

Creation Station June Blog Hop "A Man After My Own Heart"

Welcome to the latest Creation Station blog hop and today we will be sharing masculine theme cards or creations.

My projects for this theme will be combining Stampin’ Up! products from the new 2020 – 2021 Annual Catalogue. The In Good Taste Suite was on my must list in my preorder, this Suite has lots of rich textures and is so versatile. I’ve combined it with the Rooted In Nature Stamp Set which is a great set for masculine cards.

The colours I’ve used are Pretty Peacock, Early Espresso, Night of Navy and Crumb Cake. I really like Pretty Peacock for a masculine card as well as adding the more traditional colours. I’ve randomly stamped the feather stamp in Pretty Peacock Ink onto a panel of Pretty Peacock Cardstock and I’ve embossed it using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. Sponging around the edges of the Cardstock, this gives the card an even darker look.

The smaller panel of Pretty Peacock is embossed in the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder and I've sponge around the edges. I like to add a few different layers and elements to the card. The large tree stump image is in Early Espresso and balances well against the wood elements from the In Good Taste Elements.

I just had to use the feather stamp again, but this time on watercolor paper. To create the watercolor feathers, I’ve used Pretty Peacock & Night of Navy Ink and brushed onto the watercolor paper.

Once dried I then stamped the image and fussy cut it out. Adding sponged ink onto the edges, so no white was showing.

The sentiment is from the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set and die cut out with the coordinating Tasteful Labels Dies. Adding the natural Linen Thread and Braded Linen Trim to finish off the card.

To complement the card, I had a few extra elements left over, so I decided to make a gift box and use one of the Stampin’ Up! Mini Shipping Boxes.

I added the embossed Pretty Peacock Cardstock, large tree stump image, watercolor inked up feather and wood elements. The sentiment is from the Rooted In Nature Stamp Set and fits nicely in the die from the Tasteful Labels Dies. I’ve Secured the box up with the Braded Linen Trim to finish off.

Both of these creations would make a great masculine gift.

Be sure to visit everyone’s blog and see their amazing creations for the month of June. Make sure you came back for next month, for more inspiration and to see our creations.

Now it’s time to head on over to Kathy Brown Kartak to see her amazing project.

Social Stamping Blog Host - Hearts

Welcome to the latest Social Stamping Blog Host, today we will be sharing our creations with the theme Hearts. Thank you to Kelly Kent for organizing another amazing blog hop with these wonderful women.

When I think of hearts, I think of all the love we share when making a card to someone and showing them just how much they mean to us. Expect to see lots of love in our creations.

The products for my card that I have used today, some are retiring and some are brand new! I really like how I've put the greys with pinks and white together.

To start off with the tiny stitched hearts, I've mixed Rococo Rose Ink and Frost White Shimmer Paint together on a acrylic block, this gives a really nice pearl look to the coloured ink. I brushed the ink onto a strip of Shimmery White Cardstock and die cut out the stitched hearts.

The panel for the card is the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper and it's just stunning! I especially like the greys. I ran the DSP through my die cutting machine with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. I added a strip of Rococo Rose In Color 6"x 6" gingham DSP (retiring) under the Gray Granite Textured Weave Ribbon (retiring).

The Vellum swirl adds a different shade of grey and layer to the card. I've stamped the large heart image in Rococo Rose and punch it out with the coordinating punch. For the grey heart I've used the DSP and Heat Embossed White Stampin' Emboss Powder and punched out the with the Heart Punch.

I've added a few of the Clear Epoxy Droplets to finish off the card.

Colour INKspiration Challenge #78

Hello and welcome to our latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #78 and this fun photo is our inspiration for our projects. The colours for this challenge are Blushing Bride, Gray Granite and Early Espresso a favourite combination of mine. You can also add Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black and metallics.

The challenge runs for almost 2 weeks and will end at 7pm (AEST) on 8th June 2020. I hope you’ll enter into the Colour INKspiration Challenge we would so love to see your creation. More details below.

I love these colours together so much, I just couldn’t wait to get out my inks and my new Stampin’ Up! products from the new 2020 – 2021 Annual Catalogue. I’ve used the new Tasteful Textures Stamp Set and Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder for my card.

I wanted a Shabby Chic look for the card, so I decided to get out my sewing machine and sew the panel of Brushing Bride Cardstock. It’s my first time doing this and I love it!

I’ve added many layers to the card by using different types of DSP, Watercolor Paper and Cardstock. The Watercolor Paper is a wash of Gray Granite and Early Espresso Ink for the background.
The stamped images of the feathers are in the challenge colours and the flower is stamped in Blushing Bride. The sentiment is a scrap piece of Watercolor Paper with a wash of Blushing Bride Ink and the greeting stamped in Early Espresso.

I like to add a few delicate touches to the card by using the key from the Bird Ballad Trinkets which is retiring and the gorgeous Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim. I might have to try out sewing with my cards again. Have you ever tried it?

Make sure you visit our Facebook group to enter the competition, we would love to see how you would use these colours.

Click here at Colour INKspiration Facebook group to take part and upload the photo of your creation. You don’t need a blog to enter either. Share with your crafty friends, so they can join in with the challenges too.

Social Stamping Blog Host - Animals

Hello,

Welcome to our latest Social Stampers Blog Hop for this week we are showcasing the theme “Animals”.

I recently received a Stampin’ Up! order and in the BBB (Big Brown Box) was the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper, which is available for purchase as of the 3rd June 2020. The DSP is of photographic images and visual textures which I thought would work well with the Nature’s Beauty Stamp Set.

I love the different coloured tones of the DSP, so I coordinate the water coloured deer using Early Espresso, Cajuin Craze and Sahara Sand. The dear fits nicely in the die which is from the Tasteful Labels Dies.

I’ve placed some strips of the DSP under the deer, giving the card some different wood textures. The panels of DSP and Early Espresso Cardstock have been curled at the corners and I used the blade of my paper snips to ruff up the edges of the DSP. The panel of Early Espresso Cardstock is embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.

The sentiment is from the Seaside Notions Stamp Set, stamped in Early Espresso onto Crumb Cake Cardstock.

Make sure you see everyone’s amazing creations with the Animal theme in our latest Social Stamping Blog Host.

Art With Heart Team May Creative Showcase - Sketch Challenge

Welcome to the Monthly Art With Heart Creative Showcase. This month the Art With Heart Team have amazing projects to share with you that have been inspired by the card sketch below. The sketch is to be used as a starting point and has been interpreted in many creative ways by the Art With Heart Team.

I recently just received my BBB (Big Brown Box) with new Stampin’ Up! products from the new Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalogue 2020 – 2021 Demonstrators can preorder a month before customers. It's so exciting when you receive new goodies!! Customers can order from the 3rd of June 2020.

I’ve used the In Good Taste Suite which is very versatile, you can create your projects into either feminine or masculine. I started with the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set and I was drawn to the flower image, so I inked it up in Night of Navy onto Whisper White Cardstock. I used the Stampin’ Blends in light & dark Seaside Spray and light Night of Navy. There are Dies in the Suite but not for the stamped images, so I fussy cut out the flowers which I don’t mind doing at all.

I’ve used the largest circle die from the Stitched Shapes Dies and die cut out using Seaside Spray Cardstock. I placed the circle in the new Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder which gives you the best texture and I so adore it. I added a little sponging with a Sponge Dauber and Seaside Spray Ink onto the circle.

To create the strip of Night of Navy DSP, I’ve used the branch image and stamped in Night of Navy Ink onto the Cardstock.

I just had to use the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder again, so I placed a panel of Night of Navy Cardstock with the Embossing Folder. I also sponged Night of Navy Ink onto the embossed panel to give the card more depth.

The pressed wood leaf embellishments which are part of the suite are gorgeous and they go so nicely with the colours that I’ve chosen for the card. I was so happy to see the Denim Ribbon return in the Catalogue and it’s a great addition to the card.

The sentiment is from the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set which fits nicely inside one of the new Tasteful Labels Dies.

The next demonstrator to share her interpretation of the sketch is the fabulous Christina Barnes
