Colour Creations Blog Hop Blackberry Bliss Week 5 Art With Heart Team Australia

Hello and welcome

Tonight I'll be sharing with you Week 5 of Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team in Australia.

Each week there will be a Colour Creations blog hop showcasing Stampin' Up! Colors with a selection of members from the Art With Heart Team who will be joining in. I'm looking forward to seeing their beautiful projects using the Stampin' Up! Colors. You'll be able to hop around by clicking on the next link at the end of my blog.

The colour for tonight is Blackberry Bliss which is part of the Regals Collection and comes in a number of different mediums such as Ink, Cardstock, DSP etc.... I've used only Blackberry Bliss for my monochromatic handmade card, as Blackberry Bliss is a dark colour I wanted to show the different variation of colour.

For my project I've used a number of different mediums and Stampin' Up! products from the Annual Catalogue. The Blackberry Bliss Striped Ribbon is retiring as of the 30/06/21 but all other products are still available.

I haven't used the flower stamp image from the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set in awhile and I always love to colour them in using the Stampin' Blends. I've used light & dark Blackberry Bliss and blend in with the Color Lifter. I've fussy cut the images out.

\

The background panel is Shimmery White Cardstock with a light wash of Blackberry Bliss Ink using the large flat brush tip Water Painter and once dried I stamped three times using the detailed branch stamp.

Using the large die from the Forever Flourishing Dies in Blackberry Bliss Cardstock and then adding the Blackberry Bliss Striped Ribbon to the panel.

The leaves and sentiment are from the Sentimental Rose Card Kit stamped in Blackberry Bliss Ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock. The sentiment is die cut out using the Potted Succulents stitched label  die which fits perfectly and the leaves are fussy cut out.

Blackberry Bliss is a beautiful Stampin' Up! Colour and it's a colour I don't normally use all that often. That's why I love the Art With Heart Team Colour Creations which gets me out of my comfort zone!

Global Design Project #GDP297 Colour Challenge

 Hello and welcome,

I always love a colour challenge and the Global Design Project have a beautiful colour palette. The colours are Fresh Freesia, Blackberry Bliss and Pear Pizzazz for the challenge. The design team create amazing projects so make sure you check out all of their handmade creations. I'm sure they will inspire you!

I just couldn't go past the Hydrangea Haven Stamp Set and coordinating Hydrangea Dies which is in the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue, shades of purples for the Hydrangea was perfect.

I've created an Ombre background using the Blending Brush with Fresh Freesia Ink onto Basic White Cardstock panel and a little of Blackberry Bliss Ink at the bottom of the Cardstock. Then I applied the single Hydrangea stamp image, stamped on the panel using Fresh Freesia and Blackberry Bliss.

Using the challenge colours for the Hydrangea starting with a scrap of Fresh Freesia Cardstock die cut out and adding ink in Fresh Freesia and Blackberry Bliss around the edge.

The stem and leaves are in Pear Pizzazz first stamp the image onto Basic White Cardstock die cut out and I added on top Pear Pizzazz leaf and stem detailed die cut for more depth.

The sentiment is also from the Hydrangea Haven Stamp Set, stamped in Blackberry Bliss and die cut out with the cute label die. I've added ink to the sentiment for an Ombre look and tied a bow in White Baker's Twine.

Using the large fancy tag die from the Tailor Made Tags Dies, die cut out in Basic White Cardstock and applied Pear Pizzazz Ink with the Blending Brush. I just love the Tag Dies there's so much detail to them plus they are all stitched around the edges.

To finish off the card I added Fresh Freesia Shimmer Vellum for the tiny Hydrangea petal dies.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, I would so love hear your thoughts on my project by leaving a comment below.

Colour Creations Blog Hop Bermuda Bay Week 4 Art With Heart Team Australia

 Hello and welcome

Tonight I'll be sharing with you Week 4 of Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team in Australia.

The colour for tonight is Bermuda Bay which is part of the Brights Collection and comes in a number of different mediums such as Ink, Cardstock, DSP etc.... I've used Bermuda Bay with Soft Seafoam and Evening Evergreen as well as Crumb Cake and Gray Granite for my handmade cards.

I wanted to see how Bermuda Bay would interact with two very different greens from the Stampin' Up! Colors by using different ink blending techniques. I always love using greens for the Simply Succulents Stamp Set and coordinating Pottered Succulents Dies which is in the Stampin' Up! 2021 - 2022 Annual Catalogue.

For my first card I've used the Faux Masking technique by ripping up Grid Paper and placing it onto a panel of Basic White Cardstock.

I've placed masking tape onto the Grid Paper as you don't want it to move on you. I started applying Soft Seafoam ink using the Blending Brush then onto Bermuda Bay and finished off with Evening Evergreen. I also added splattered ink by using the Stampin' Blends in the same colours.

The stamped images of the succulents for the first card are inked up in Memento Black Ink and coloured in using Bermuda Bay and Evening Evergreen light and dark Stampin' Blends. I also like to take off some of the colour by using the Colour Lifter.

For the Potted Succulents die cut images, I've blended Bermuda Bay and Soft Seafoam Ink onto Basic White Cardstock. I like to add a little dimension to my cards, so I've used Stampin' Dimensionals for some of the images.

For my second card, I've created a watercolour look using the large succulent image and stamped it in Stazon Ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock. I've coloured in the succulents using the fine tip Water Painter and combined Bermuda Bay, Soft Seafoam and Evening Evergreen Ink. It's amazing the colours you can come up with when combing them together.

The ink blending background is a panel of Basic White Cardstock using the Blending Brush and starting with Soft Seafoam, then mixing in with Bermuda Bay and finishing off with Evening Evergreen. This makes a lovely soft background.

The card base for both cards is Bermuda Bay Cardstock. I wanted a couple of birthday cards, so I've used the Pansy Patch Stamp Set. I've heat embossed the sentiment using Versamark Ink, White Stampin' Emboss Powder and Heat Tool.

Colour INKspiration Challenge #102

 Hello and welcome,

It's the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #102 and this beautiful photo was chosen by Lou Kitzelman one of the Design Crew Members. This colour combo is a beautiful palette and there's one of the new In Colors in this latest colour challenge!

The colour combination for #102 is Polished Pink, Smokey Slate and Basic Gray. As well as the chosen colours you may also add Basic White, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory' and 'Bronze' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Melon Mambo instead of Polished Pink .... you get the drift).

The challenge will run for almost 3 weeks until 7pm on the 12th July 2021 details to follow at the end of my blog.

Today's card I've used the Hydrangea Haven Stamp set and coordinating Hydrangea Dies which are available from the Stampin' Up! 2021 - 2022 Annual Catalogue. I decided to do a little bit of sewing on my card and gave it a vintage look with the torn DSP, ruffing up the edges of the Cardstock and many layers to the card.

The watercolour Hydrangea's are in shades of Polished Pink Ink, Smoky Slate and Clear Wink of Stella with lots of sparkle. I've also added Polished Pink Shimmer Vellum using the Hydrangea petals Dies and Expressions in Ink Sequins.

The layers of ripped DSP are Polished Pink In Color 2021 - 2023 6" x 6" DSP and In Good Taste 12" x 12" DSP. I added Basic Gray Ink with the Blending Brush to give it a darker shade of gray.

Now for the fun part of the card! Using a panel of Basic Gray Cardstock, I've embossed it with the Tasteful Textile 3D Emboss Folder and adding Basic Gray Ink with the Blending Brush for a darker look. Then I decided to get out my old sewing machine which I've had since I was 21 years old and sew a light grey cotton thread around the panel. It was so much fun! I should do more sewing in the future.

The sentiment is from the stamp set which is part of the Sentimental Rose Card Kit all of the stamp images are very handy for card making. The 'best wishes' image fits perfectly inside the stitched Hydrangea Die. I've heat embossed the sentiment with Versamark Ink, White Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool.

I hope you can participate in this latest round and as we so look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is new and made specially for this challenge.

Colour INKspiration Challenge CI#102 will run until 7pm (ADET) on Monday 12th July 2021.

Just a reminder to upload your challenge pics straight to the discussion wall and not in an album.

Colour Creations Blog Hop Basic Gray Week 3 Art With Heart Team Australia

 Hello and welcome

Tonight I'll be sharing with you Week 3 of Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team in Australia.

The colour for tonight is Basic Gray which is part of the Neutrals Collection and comes in a number of different mediums such as Ink, Cardstock, DSP etc.... I've used Basic Gray with Blushing Bride and Basic White for my handmade card.

I just couldn't resist in using the koala stamp from the Count On Me Stamp Set, I used the fine Water Painter and Water Color Paper using Basic Gray and Blushing Bride Ink. This was the base for my card and I went through my stash of DSP to use up scraps in the same shades of colours.

I love to create lots of layers with the different types of papers/DSP here I've used strips of In Good Taste and Handed Penned 12" x 12" DSP plus Basic White Cardstock for the dies. It's a good way to use up those unwanted strips for your paper craft.

The Forever Flourishing Dies was used adding Ink with the Blending Brush using Basic Gray and Blushing Bride Ink to the images.

I've layered two of the tags from the Tailor Made Tags Dies. The largest using the Basic Gray sheet from In Good Taste DSP and a smaller one in Basic White Cardstock, adding Basic Gray Ink and embossed it using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. I've added pink and white Snail Mail Baker's Twine to the tags.

The two koalas look so cute sitting behind the pink sponged leaf die and I've adhered to the tag using Stampin' Dimensionals. The sentiment is from the Biggest Whish Stamp Set and heat set with Versmark Ink, White Stampin' Emboss Powder and Heat Tool. The card base and panel is in Basic Gray Cardstock.

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Ombre

 Hello and welcome,

It's Stamping 2nd Sunday latest blog hop for June, hosted by Sara Levin and for this month the design team will be showcasing our projects using the Ombre technique. The list of participants will be at the end of this blog.

Ombre is a beautiful way to create a gradual shaded look in your paper crafts by blending from light to dark. This technique is a favourite of mine and it's been my go to of lately, when I've been creating my projects. The new Stampin' Up! Blending Brushes makes it so much easier to create gradual colour.

Today's projects is a handmade card and 3D gift box using Stampin' Up! products from the Annual Catalogue for 2021 - 2022. I've used the cute bear from the Count on Me Stamp Set in watercolour blending the following inks Cinnamon Cider, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso and Real Red for the heart.

Card

Starting with Early Espresso Cardstock for the card base and layered with a panel in Shimmery White Cardstock. I've applied Evening Evergreen Ink with the Blending Brush to the panel and gradually added more Ink as I go. Using Evening Evergreen Stampin' Blend, I've splattered ink onto the paper by using the brush tip against the lid.

I've added many layers to the card by using strips of DSP by ripping the edge and adding ink for an Ombre look as well. The Stitched Leave Dies is in Basic White Cardstock and I applied Evening Evergreen Ink with the Blending Brush.

The tag which is from the Tailor Made Tag Dies is in Crumb Cake with Crumb Cake Ink and splattered Cinnamon Cider Ink with the Stampin' Blend.

To create the sentiment I've used  a strip of Basic White Cardstock adding Cinnamon Cider Ink with the Blending Brush and die cut out using the Playful Alphabet Dies.

3D Gift Box

I've created an Ombre look and applied Cinnamon Cider Ink and Early Espresso Ink to the Scalloped Kraft Treat Box. The colours showoff against the gold polka dots on the box and I just love the Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon against the gift box.

The Tailor Made Tags and Stitched Leaves Dies add many layers to this cute gift box and makes a lovely set to go with the card.
